Book Synopsis Prediction of Unsteady Aerodynamic Loadings on Non-planar Wings and Wing-tail Configurations in Supersonic Flow by : Gordon D. Kramer
Download or read book Prediction of Unsteady Aerodynamic Loadings on Non-planar Wings and Wing-tail Configurations in Supersonic Flow written by Gordon D. Kramer and published by . This book was released on 1972 with total page 408 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Mach box technique for unsteady aerodynamic loadings has been extended to include wing and tail with dihedral angles and vertical separation. A digital computer program, written in FORTRAN, is presented. The program provides for up to nine sweep angles of the leading and trailing edges of edges of each surface. First order position theory thickness correction is available as an option and two refinement procedures are provided, subdivision with averaging and velocity potential smoothing. For a maximum of twenty oscillatory mode shapes the program calculates normal washes, velocity potentials, lifts, pressures and generalized forces matrices. If only one surface is being analyzed, sampling of wake up-wash, side-wash and longitudinal wash is available.

Book Synopsis The Routledge Companion to Korean Literature by : Heekyoung Cho
Download or read book The Routledge Companion to Korean Literature written by Heekyoung Cho and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2022-03-15 with total page 1037 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Routledge Companion to Korean Literature consists of 35 chapters written by leaders in the field, who explore significant topics and who have pioneered innovative approaches. The collection highlights the most dynamic current scholarship on Korean literature, presenting rigorous literary analysis, interdisciplinary methodologies, and transregional thinking so as to provide a valuable and inspiring resource for researchers and students alike. This Companion has particular significance as the most extensive collection to date of English-language articles on Korean literature; it both offers a thorough intellectual engagement with current scholarship and addresses a broad range of topics and time periods, from premodern to contemporary. It will contribute to an understanding of literature as part of a broad sociocultural process that aims to put the field into conversation with other fields of study in the humanities and social sciences. While presenting rigorous and innovative academic research that will be useful to graduate students and researchers, the chapters in the collection are written to be accessible to the average upper-level undergraduate student and include only minimal use of academic jargon. In an effort to provide substantially helpful material for researching, teaching, and learning Korean literature, this Companion includes as an appendix an extensive list of English translations of Korean literature.
Book Synopsis Pete Dunne's Essential Field Guide Companion by : Pete Dunne
Download or read book Pete Dunne's Essential Field Guide Companion written by Pete Dunne and published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. This book was released on 2006 with total page 729 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book, bursting with more information than any field guide could hold, the well-known author and birder Pete Dunne introduces readers to the "Cape May School," or GISS, method of identification, which focuses on a bird holistically, giving more weight to the general impression of the bird than to specific field marks. After determining the most likely possibilities by considering such factors as habitat and season, the birder uses characteristics such as size, shape, behavior, flight pattern, and vocalizations to identify a bird. The book provides an arsenal of additional hints and helpful clues to guide a birder when, even after a review of a field guide, the identification still hangs in the balance. This supplement to field guides shares the knowledge and skills that expert birders bring to identification challenges.
