Due to their merit, they are entitled to the help of a spirit rescue team. The spirit author Andre Luiz tell us about his experience as a member of the team. This is an enthralling narrative that reveals details of the tasks performed by spirits at the moment of the death of the physical body. In this book, Andre Luiz confirms the principles revealed by the Spiritist Doctrine regarding the existence of the spirit world, where discarnate spirits dwell, living a new life while preparing to return once again to the earthly journey. “... Death does not extinguish friendly cooperation, mutual support, comforting intercession or the evolutionary endeavor. The vibratory dimensions of the universe are infinite, as infinite as are the worlds that populate the immensity of space.”

Book Synopsis The Gospel at Work by : Sebastian Traeger
Download or read book The Gospel at Work written by Sebastian Traeger and published by Zondervan. This book was released on 2014-01-28 with total page 132 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Find God’s vision for your job. Reclaim God’s vision for your life. Many Christians fall victim to one of two main problems when it comes to work: either they are idle in their work, or they have made an idol of it. Both of these mindsets are deadly misunderstandings of how God intends for us to think about our employment. In The Gospel at Work, Sebastian Traeger and Greg Gilbert unpack the powerful ways in which the gospel can transform how we do what we do, releasing us from the cultural pressures of both an all-consuming devotion and a punch-in, punch-out mentality—in order to find the freedom of a work ethic rooted in serving Christ. You’ll find answers to some of the tough questions that Christians in the workplace often ask: What factors should matter most in choosing a job? What gospel principles should shape my thinking about how to treat my boss, my co-workers, and my employees? Is full-time Christian work more valuable than my job? Is it okay to be motivated by money? How do you prioritize—or balance—work, family and church responsibilities? Solidly grounded in the gospel, The Gospel at Work confronts both our idleness at work and our idolatry of work with a challenge of its own—to remember that whom we work for is infinitely more important than what we do.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The question of 'what happens when I want to step away from all this?' is one that keeps many business owners awake at night. 'How does my entrepreneur story end in a way that preserves the good I’ve built up, and looks after the employees and clients?' For the owner who has spent a big chunk of their working life building up a business they passionately believe in, and nurturing staff they care about, traditional succession planning doesn’t work. Employee ownership is the new and better way of preserving your achievement. Done the right way, you can release value, preserve your legacy and pass on control without employees having to raise finance. Financial expert, podcaster and author Chris Budd recently sold his own business to its employees through the UK's Employee Ownership Trust. But the movement for employee ownership is global - and interest in this alternative succession route is growing fast. Employee ownership is about more than the ownership, however. It is about creating sustainable businesses. A focus on long-term sustainable profits; happy customers; happy employees. The Eternal Business lays out a system for a business - and its employees - to transition to employee ownership. It provides a model and pathway to follow so that the business continues - maybe forever! It will help anyone running or working in a business with a real purpose, and who is wrestling with the 'what next?' question.
Book Synopsis God at Work by : Gene Edward Veith Jr.
Download or read book God at Work written by Gene Edward Veith Jr. and published by Crossway. This book was released on 2011-08-02 with total page 178 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When you understand it properly, the doctrine of vocation—"doing everything for God's glory"—is not a platitude or an outdated notion. This principle that we vaguely apply to our lives and our work is actually the key to Christian ethics, to influencing our culture for Christ, and to infusing our ordinary, everyday lives with the presence of God. For when we realize that the "mundane" activities that consume most of our time are "God's hiding places," our perspective changes. Culture expert Gene Veith unpacks the biblical, Reformation teaching about the doctrine of vocation, emphasizing not what we should specifically do with our time or what careers we are called to, but what God does in and through our callings—even within the home. In each task He has given us—in our workplaces and families, our churches and society—God Himself is at work. Veith guides you to discover God's purpose and calling in those seemingly ordinary areas by providing you with a spiritual framework for thinking about such issues and for acting upon them with a changed perspective.

This book was released on 2021 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the interwar period, Czesław Martyniak, Fr. Antoni Szymański, and Ignacy Czuma worked at the newly established Catholic University of Lublin, basing their scientific activity mainly on the Thomistic tradition in the philosophy of law and referring to it in taking up criticism of the then influential trends: the legal positivism (especially as developed by Hans Kelsen, who was considered to be the creator of its normative variety) and solidarism (treated by many authors of those times as a proposal for the critics of positivism, referring to “social facts” rather than to the norms of the natural order). Limiting this introduction to an attempt to make the reader interested in the context of heritage and fundamental issues of the philosophy of law, we will only point out that the content of the statements of the abovementioned authors had mainly polemical value. This does not mean, however, that apart from the critical arguments, we will not find an outline of a positive position in their writings. They undoubtedly demonstrate the importance of the need to establish a universal “species goal” and thus to indicate a certain, appropriate and purposeful structure of action for all people, as one that for many centuries has defined an essential aspect of the philosophy of law. They see that questioning this orientation (together with the negation of a realistic position which treats the human species as a real existence, a kind of participation in every human being) has opened up a perspective for new approaches, for the differentiation of norms within every political community and for the search of justifications for those who take part in the creation of the legal order. They are aware that the classical structure of reflection on the law, present already in the Renaissance thought, has been replaced by another: the reflection on the universal purpose of the human species has been taken over by reflection on the multiplicity of objectives of the individual and the search for a guarantee of their realisation, sometimes taking into account the objectives of the state as a particular kind of being, which is to some extent independent of the existence (and objectives) of its constituent individuals. They know that this approach was the result of a particular type of intellectual evolution that had taken place in European culture since around the 13th century, leading to a gradual shift of interest from the order of all things to the projects of individuals. They reach directly to St. Thomas Aquinas and analyse the foundations of the normative order, which at least sets a negative limit to the ability of individuals and legislators to act, as well as to the content of established norms.

Book Synopsis The Word Before Work by : Jordan Raynor
Download or read book The Word Before Work written by Jordan Raynor and published by WaterBrook. This book was released on 2022-11-15 with total page 305 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A weekday devotional to help Christians connect the gospel to their vocation and appreciate the eternal significance of their work—no matter what it is—from the entrepreneur, thought leader, and bestselling author of Redeeming Your Time. Perhaps you feel as if the work you do carries less eternal impact than the work of a pastor or missionary. But that’s not how God sees it. Whatever it looks like day to day, your work is ministry and central to God’s plans to restore fallen creation. As the days of creation reveal, God is quite familiar with work himself. He created humans with unique giftings and interests, specifically so we can pursue his redemptive work in partnership with him. The Word Before Work features 260 readings—one for every workday of the year—to help you see how your work connects to God’s work in the world. The first four weeks set the foundation by exploring: • what work means in light of the biblical narrative • why our work matters • five ways these truths inform how we should work today The rest of this one-year devotional takes you on a journey through Scripture to explore God’s perspective on the work he has called you to do. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, barista, stay-at-home parent, CEO, or coach, The Word Before Work affirms how God created you for work, why it matters, and the ways it holds significance both now and for eternity.
