Hierbei soll untersucht werden, ob Migranten, welche die gleichen Schulabschlüsse wie Menschen ohne Migrationshintergrund haben, auch die gleichen Chancen zur beruflichen Integration haben und wie hoch die Erwerbstätigenquote ausgebildeter Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund im Gegensatz zu jener der ausgebildeter Menschen ohne Migrationshintergrund ist. Zuvor werde ich untersuchen, welche Bildungszugänge Migranten haben und welche Ungleichheiten sich im Schulsystem ergeben. Zum klareren Verständnis der behandelten Themenbereiche sollen zunächst die Begriffe der Migration und der Integration definiert werden und ein Abriss der Geschichte der Migration in Deutschland in der Zeit nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg gezeichnet werden. Weiterhin werde ich später noch die Begriffe der Bildung und der sozialen Ungleichheit definieren.

Dabei wird aufgezeigt, dass Bildung im frühkindlichen Alter sowohl im engen familiären Bereich und, darüber hinaus in den institutionellen Einrichtungen, eine nicht zu unterschätzende Rolle für die soziale Entwicklung der (Klein)Kinder spielt. Gleichzeitig stellt sie aber eine wesentliche Grundlage für den schulischen Bildungserfolg dar, da die im frühen Kindesalter nicht vermittelten kognitiven und altersgerechten Lernmöglichkeiten sich in den schulischen Leistungen widerspiegeln können, was ohne Einschränkung auch für SchülerInnen ohne Migrationshintergrund gilt. Es wird durch verschiedene Studien (u.a. PISA, IGLU, Statistisches Bundesamt) aufgezeigt, dass es einen kausalen Zusammenhang zwischen den institutionellen Einrichtungen, deren Angebote und der milieubedingten Annahme dieser Leistungen gibt, die sich wiederum auf das Leistungsvermögen der SchülerInnen niederschlägt. Es wird ferner untersucht, ob durch eine Manifestation der Bildungsungleichheit damit gleichzeitig Bildungsarmut entsteht, die sich in späteren Jahren in Milieu-Strukturen widerspiegeln, die Auswirkungen auf die vorhandenen Sozialsysteme und deren Inanspruchnahme haben können. Zuletzt soll untersucht werden, inwieweit Bildungsarmut zur sozialen Deprivation und damit zu gesellschaftlichen Spannungen führen kann.
