Es geht also um die Veränderung und den Wandel von der Gemeinwesenarbeit zur lebensweltorientierten Arbeit, der Schwerpunkt wird hier die Kinder- und Jugendhilfe mit den genannten Theorien und Konzepten sein. Dies beinhaltet die Grundzüge der Gemeinwesenarbeit und die Theorie und Konzeption von Hans Thiersch, also die lebensweltorientierte Arbeit. Sowohl aus Gemeinwesenarbeit als auch aus der lebensweltorientierten Arbeit ist schließlich auch ein Konzept der Sozialraum – und Ressourcenorientierung für die Kinder- und Jugendhilfe entstanden, auf das in diesem Kontext nicht explizit eingegangen wird. Im Folgenden wird hauptsächlich auf die Gemeinwesenarbeit in Deutschland eingegangen, die in den 60er Jahren in den deutschen Raum kam, um schließlich die Entstehung der Lebensweltorientierten Arbeit darzustellen. Die lebensweltorientierte Arbeit nach Hans Thiersch ist grundlegend für die heutige Sozialarbeit in der Kinder- und Jugendhilfe, weshalb in der vorliegenden Arbeit der Frage nachgegangen wird, wie der Paradigmenwechsel von der Gemeinwesenarbeit zur Lebensweltorientierung zustande kam und welche Gründe es hierfür gab. Dazu werden anfangs die Begriffe Gemeinwesenarbeit und Lebensweltorientierung definiert und erläutert. Danach wird beschrieben wie sich Sozialarbeit circa seit den 1950er Jahren entwickelt hat, um darauffolgend die historische Entstehung und die Gründe für die Entstehung der Lebensweltorientierung darzustellen. Anschließend wird ein Vergleich zwischen Gemeinwesenarbeit und Lebensweltorientierung aufgestellt und ein Fazit gezogen.
