Book Synopsis Unjust Military Justice by : Ernie Davis Jr.
Download or read book Unjust Military Justice written by Ernie Davis Jr. and published by Archway Publishing. This book was released on 2021-10-27 with total page 108 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is about a white Naval Officer who, figuratively speaking, placed his foot on the neck of a black sailor until that sailor screamed for help. But for Ernie Davis Jr., no help ever came. Even though the primary wrongdoer swore under oath at the author's military trial that he had committed no acts of racial bias, documents that the same officer prepared show that he is an absolute liar. The author's military records shine a bright spotlight on a plot conceived and successfully initiated by a white naval officer who lied incessantly about Mr. Davis' conduct and military background, falsified personnel records, and triggered a military trial resulting in the author's "undesirable" discharge from the military. Everything that happened to the author while in the Navy was based on monumental lies by one individual as well as a failure in the Navy system of justice.

We print this book so you don't have to. First you gotta find a good clean (legible) copy and make sure it's the latest version (not always easy). Some documents found on the web are missing some pages or the image quality is so poor, they are difficult to read. We look over each document carefully and replace poor quality images by going back to the original source document. We proof each document to make sure it's all there - including all changes. If you find a good copy, you could print it using a network printer you share with 100 other people (typically its either out of paper or toner). If it's just a 10-page document, no problem, but if it's 250-pages, you will need to punch 3 holes in all those pages and put it in a 3-ring binder. Takes at least an hour. It's much more cost-effective to just order the latest version from Amazon.com This book includes original commentary which is copyright material. Note that government documents are in the public domain. We print these large documents as a service so you don't have to. The books are compact, tightly-bound, full-size (8 1⁄2 by 11 inches), with large text and glossy covers. If you like the service we provide, please leave positive review on Amazon.com. Without positive feedback from the community, we may discontinue the service and y'all can go back to printing these books manually yourselves.

The text covers the jurisdiction of courts-martial; sources of military law; military offenses and defenses; pre-trial, trial, and appellate procedures; the role of judge advocates; non-judicial punishment and other alternatives to courts-martial; special forums such as boards of inquiry and military commissions for trying enemy belligerents; the relationship of courts-martial to state and federal courts; and much more. All chapters include policy questions about currently controversial issues. The text is appropriate for all students, whether or not they have had prior military experience. The Second Edition includes five new cases and addresses new legislation concerning special victims counsel; preliminary hearings; the role of commanders in referring and reviewing charges; mandatory minimum sentences for conviction of certain sex offenses; the offense of sodomy; and the good soldier defense.
