The Innocence project was originally created within the government in conjunction with the Benjamin N Cardozo School of Law. In 2003, The Innocence Project transitioned to a 501c3 non profit organization status, but they still work very closely with the Cardozo school and the US government. This book looks at some of the most notable cases taken on by The Innocence Project, and their work in helping innocent men escape custody.
