Book excerpt: This book is the first full-length biography of Margarito Bautista (1878-1961), a celebrated Latino Mormon leader in the U.S. and Mexico in the early twentieth century who was a Mexican cultural nationalist, visionary, founder of a utopian commune, and Mormon dissident. Surprisingly little is known about Bautista's remarkable life, the scope of his work, or the development of his vision. Elisa Eastwood Pulido draws on his letters, books, pamphlets, and unpublished diaries to provide a lens through which to view the convergence of Mormon evangelization, Mexican nationalism, and religious improvisation in the U.S. Mexico borderlands. A successful proselytizer of Mexicans for years, from 1922 onward Bautista came to view the paternalism of the Euro-American leadership of the Church as a barrier to ecclesiastical self-governance by indigenous Latter-day Saints . In 1924, he began his journey away from mainstream Mormonism. By 1946, he had established a completely Mexican-led polygamist utopia in Mexico on the slopes of the volcano Popocateptl, twenty-two kilometers southeast of Mexico City. Here, he preached an alternative Mormonism rooted in Mesoamerican history and culture. Based on his indigenous hermeneutic of Mormon scripture, Bautista proclaimed that the indigenous peoples of the Americas were a chosen race, destined to wrest both political and spiritual authority from the descendants of Euro-American colonists. This book provides an in-depth look at a man still regarded with cultural pride by those Mexican and Mexican American Mormons who remember him as an iconic and revolutionary figure.

It is a tightly knit circle of friends whose faith, love, and encouragement help each other make it through the changing seasons of life. More is at stake for Cathy than her son. With Mark in juvenile detention, the single mother of three finds herself struggling over whether to marry Steve Bennett, a man she truly loves. It will take strength and wisdom for Steve to see Cathy through this time of family conflict. Fortunately, he is not alone. Other lives, each with concerns of their own, weave together in a strong show of mutual care and support. And through the hands and hearts of this loving community, God moves.

Book excerpt: Do you want to know the secret to success according to Ecclesiastes 9:11? Be in the right place at the right time. That principle forms the foundation of "The Mystery of Time". Yet, it all starts with seeing time through the eyes of The One who created it; God. Time is more than the numbers on a clock or dates on a calendar. It's more than the span between the beginning of Genesis and the end of Revelation. It's more than what can be measured with any man-made tool or instrument. God has fit time into the continuum of eternity in such a way that it governs the human experience. In this, his seventh book, author Donnell Duncan looks from seven different Biblical perspectives at the age-old question; "What is time?" He provides scriptural best practices for discerning God's timing and shares effective tools for understanding the end times. Most importantly, he reveals through the life of Jesus, the value of living according to God's schedule and tapping into the wisdom of the Holy Spirit for a revelation of the future.

Book excerpt: Best Book Award • Mormon History Association A brilliant young historian excavates the brief life of a lost Mormon city, uncovering a “grand, underappreciated saga in American history” (Wall Street Journal). In Kingdom of Nauvoo, Benjamin E. Park draws on newly available sources to re-create the founding and destruction of the Mormon city of Nauvoo. On the banks of the Mississippi in Illinois, the early Mormons built a religious utopia, establishing their own army and writing their own constitution. For those offenses and others—including the introduction of polygamy, which was bitterly opposed by Emma Smith, the iron-willed first wife of Joseph Smith—the surrounding population violently ejected the Mormons, sending them on their flight to Utah. Throughout his absorbing chronicle, Park shows how the Mormons of Nauvoo were representative of their era, and in doing so elevates Mormon history into the American mainstream.

Have you experienced stunted growth in an aspect of your life no matter how hard you tried? Are you able to flow with the times and seasons that are governing your life? This book will give you insights to deal with these questions and more. The Issachar Anointing is the unique anointing of the men of Issachar that enabled them to understand the times and seasons to influence and lead Israel to establish the greatest dynasty of all time, perpetuated by the kingship of the Lord Jesus Christ. You can use the Issachar Anointing to understand the times and seasons that govern your life and then leverage the Issachar Anointing to change the times or seasons to favor you. This is an insightful and practical book that will enlighten your vision and empower your steps (Josephine Ami-Narh, Bank of Ghana). Apostle Akufo brings to light how to serve ones generation and achieve significance by questioning the questions that are being asked (Apostle Dr. Aaron Ami-Narh, the Apostolic Church, Ghana) This book will bring insight and revelation to many who do not understand that their lives are full of different seasons according to the timing of God. It is a great tool in the hands of anyone who desires to be a world changer (Rev. Josephine Bessman, codirector, Freetown Bible Training Center).

This book was released on 2019-11-16 with total page 107 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Have you ever wondered why a multitude of people claim to have prayed, fasted and done everything they know best yet their situations and circumstances haven't changed? Have you ever given yourself a moment to think about dozens of believers who are entangled in a morass of debilitating poverty, lack, and limitation yet they claim to believe God? Have you ever wondered why some people have even gone to the extent of being discouraged in their Christian walk because their prayers were not answered? Have you ever wondered why certain things are taking so long to materialise in your life? The answer to all the above scenarios is not in lack of power, wisdom or prayer but it is simply an issue of lack of understanding of times and seasons in God. In this publication, Apostle Frequency Revelator cracks the mystery code and unveils the divine truth that many of God's people pray, fast, cry, sow seeds, confess scriptures and still experience frustration in their finances, health, jobs, marriages and businesses because of lack of God's timing. Many believers are agonised like this because they haven't learnt how to properly and correctly discern the times and seasons. Some go to the extent of rushing ahead of their season without discerning their timing hence that they end up defeated, depleted, weary and distressed. Demystifying the common myths of God's timing, Apostle Frequency Revelator reveals that the most vital and crucial matters that you must prioritise in the kingdom of God is how to understand times and seasons in God's calendar. Understanding times and seasons as expounded in this book will help you get prophetic direction and also prevent you from making wrong turns and unwise decisions in your life. If you understand the season, you will know if it is the right time for you to make a move on a particular matter or not. If you understand the times and seasons of God, you will be rightly positioned in the spirit realm and attuned to the frequency of God such that you will know when it's the right time for you to move to another city, or switch to a new job, or start a church. Because you are attuned to the spirit realm and aligned to God's purpose, you will see all the right doors opening for you and everything falling into place according to his plan. Just like the sons of Issachar who had an acute understanding of the times and knew exactly what Israel ought to do at a time, it is very important that you understand what season you are in order for you to enter into and fulfil your due season. In this publication, Apostle Frequency Revelator contends that just like there are natural seasons on the earth, there are also spiritual seasons. He therefore, unveils the secrets of the rotational prophetic timeline of times and seasons which is a key to understanding where you are and how to number your days. The apostle further explores the divine truth that time is not one of the characteristics of God. He contends that God is not defined by time because He lives, functions and operates in the eternal realm that is outside our time dimension. Time is not an absolute because it only exists when its parameters are defined by absolutes. God set the earth in time while man was created from the eternal realm. Although man lives on earth, he doesn't operate according to earthly time because he was created in the eternal realm which falls outside the scope or domain of time hence man was never designed to function according to earthly time.
