Book excerpt: "God's grace is the most incredible and insurmountable truth ever to be revealed to the human heart."--John Bunyan In 1661 English writer and preacher John Bunyan was jailed for twelve years after refusing to give up his spiritual mission. During this time, he wrote his most enduring work and influential allegory, The Pilgrim's Progress, which has since been published in over 200 languages. This 90-day devotional highlights the eternal truths contained in The Pilgrim's Progress that transcend the allegory into your walk with Jesus. Through these insightful readings, you will be shown the practical help the Holy Spirit provides and how to discern the hindrances of the enemy so you can live a victorious and joyful Christian life. John Bunyan said, "It is always hard to see the purpose in wilderness wanderings until after they are over." May you receive wisdom and strength from Christian's extraordinary journey of faith as you embark on your own adventure toward the Celestial City.

Themes that have been properly developed include the origin of worldly character, the dangers of worldly character, Christian character, and how Christian character is acquired. These people applied themselves to study the teachings of the church, to prayer and also enjoyed a caring fellowship. This church affected the world around it and great signs and miracles were normal. As Christians today we can and should live the continuation of the Acts of the Apostles and the continuation of the normal church. In the chapters of On the Way: Basic Christian Training, we explain how you become a Christian. We weave verses from the Bible and explanations into a narrative to show you how you can grow into all God intends for you to be. We help you to see how you can experience the power, meaning, and fulfillment only God can bring.

Book excerpt: When Jesus wasn’t ministering to people, He was teaching the disciples how to do what He did. “The Way to Follow the Way” is a step by step instruction manual in learning to follow Jesus who is the Way, using the same methods He used to teach His disciples. • Why do people struggle with their old sinful nature? • What actually changes when you’re born again? • How do you receive everything you need for life and godliness? • What were the final instructions of Jesus? These questions and many more will be answered with clear, concise and detailed information. It begins with why we believe in the God of creation, quickly explains the knowledge explosion Daniel prophesied would happen in the last days, then proceeds to the first steps a Christian takes and continues all the way through with how to make more disciples the same way Jesus did. After Jesus ascended back to Heaven and the disciples started to spread the Gospel, they went about praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. Wouldn’t you like to have the ability to positively influence the people where you live? www.omega-ministries.com

Book excerpt: "Seek and you shall find."-Matthew 7:7b In 1949, author Robert Johnston experienced a life-changing encounter with an agnostic coworker. Because of this person's radically different life perspective, Johnston began to realize how spiritual conflict leads a Christian into a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit. The Way: The Spiritual Journey-The Path to Glory is the compelling story of Johnston's fifty-year Christian pilgrimage. In the course of his journey, Johnston discovers that it is not our achievements in this world that prepare us for salvation but rather Christ who uses our life's experiences to propel us toward spiritual victory. Followers of Christ are directed to witness his victorious love, and Johnston saw God at work that day in 1949. The Way encourages you to seek the Lord in your life and spread his wonderful message to those who have yet to respond to it.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Serving the Lord is something that is best begun in His immediate presence. When a person has served Him in His immediate presence and satisfied His heart, He may send such a one to go and serve on His behalf. Serving the Lord in His immediate presence consists essentially in worshipping Him. Of the leaders of the church in Antioch it was said, "While they were worshipping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, 'Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.' Then after fasting and praying, they laid their hands on them and sent them off" (Acts 13:2-3). Barnabas and Saul were sent out to serve from the presence of the Lord to the work to which God had called them. They were ministering in His presence when He sent them away to minister on His behalf. All service of the Lord ought to begin that way. Serving the Lord is invariably tied to resurrection life. No one can truly serve the Lord without that He, the Lord of all glory, has taken the initiative to bring that one into His service. This is so because those who serve Him must know death with Christ and resurrection with Him. Service is the flow of the life of God, and without resurrection life, there can be no flow. People can do many things in the Lord's name, but only that which flows from life will last, and to have the flow of life there must, first of all, be death. A person will minister in proportion to the extent to which he has died and risen with Christ. Those who spare them¬selves the hard demands of the cross will find that they have also spared themselves the ministry of life. The extent to which a person surrenders himself to death to the world and the flesh, is the extent to which that one will know resurrection life and resurrection ministry. There can be a work in might and power that is not fully of the Holy Spirit. Samson ministered in power, although he was out of vital fellowship with the Holy God. God demands holiness from all who would serve Him to His satisfaction. Finally, we want to say that Christian work is acceptable in His sight and satisfies His heart only to the extent to which it is in harmony with His will and under His direction. Every work that is outside His will and direction is not only useless; it is an abomination to Him. Too many believers today are doing nothing for the Lord. They are shy and withdrawn and lack boldness and a clear sense of direction. Where are those who would dare to step out at His command and take entire villages, towns, provinces, nations, and continents for Him? Where are those who would seek great things for Him? My prayer is that the Lord of the harvest should use these messages to raise servants and slaves unto His glorious Son, and that such will start in His presence and, as He directs, end in the uttermost parts of the world. Lord Jesus, ignore the weaknesses and shortcomings both of these messages and of the human messenger, and use them, Lord, for Your glory. Amen.

Anyone whowould like to do a book by book study of grace in the New Testament epistles and the Bible as a whole will find this book immensely helpful. Therefore, I see this book finding a significant audience amongst all sorts of Christians. - Kevin Miller The Way of Grace opens up a whole fresh understanding of the gift of grace revealed through the New Testament epistles. In its concise examples of how grace works to build on our relationship with Jesus Christ, this book will assist many Christians in understanding the full power and extent ofthis infinite gift of God. - John Stanley “And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; ... Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]!” (Isaiah 30:18a,c)

It was called this because Jesus Christ's advent, life, death, and resurrection did not focus upon theology as such or doctrines as such or upon achieving warm, fuzzy feelings as such. Jesus's teachings and life were all focused upon a way of life. A way of life focused upon a relationship with God, and a way of life focused upon our relationships with our fellow men and women. Jesus shined a spotlight on how we are to live yearly, weekly, daily, act by act, step by step, decision by decision under the watchful eyes of a gracious, loving God who knows us and calls us by name. Even Jesus's death and resurrection were pointers revealing the way, the way of the journey we will all take one day. This small book is called The Way because it focuses, as Jesus did, upon the how-tos needed to cope with an increasingly irreligious, if not anti-Christian culture. How do I deal with fear? How do I deal with my guilt? How do I? From my observation and experience, these are the questions in the mind of the man or woman in the pew. There are ways. There is a way. They were pioneered for us by Jesus. He and his way is The Way.

Book excerpt: A revolutionary love movement is circling the globe. Broken lives are being transformed and the love of Jesus is being gossiped into the most remote regions of the planet. However, in the West, the church is in decline. The brand image is broken. Christianity is not seen as radical or revolutionary and some of those who claim to be "Christian," seem to bear little resemblance to the life and teachings of Jesus. Through national and international engagement in Christian ministry, Paul Kroeker has witnessed this development firsthand. He has come to realize that "Though we thought we were rich, we are really poor, and though we thought they were poor, the international church has the riches we need to live the abundant life Jesus describes" (inspired by Revelation 3:14-22). In the Way of Jesus takes readers on a journey of renewed hope found in the person of Jesus Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit. Through personal anecdotes and biblical insights, Kroeker lays out the path of discipleship that leads to an intimate relationship with Jesus: "When someone has been with Jesus, their love becomes authentic and compelling. They eagerly share what Jesus has done for them. Their joy is infectious. They are an open book-evidence of God's love and forgiveness. Their love for one another becomes extraordinary and reveals the good news of the Kingdom of God. Brand image and reality are one and the same. This alone will lead to the awakening of the church in the West, allowing for a new tide of God's redeeming love to move across our nation and heal our land." In the way of Jesus you become a disciple who will love, live and serve like him. Love, Live, Serve like Jesus.
