The role of attachment has not been studied extensively and examination of this construct could provide insight on the development of poor psychological functioning. Therefore, this critical analysis aims to show how a secure attachment can serve as a protective factor from siblings developing b ehavioral and emotional problems. Included in this analysis are the implications of attachment in the object of study, as well as qualitative direction for future research.
