Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The holy cave of Vaishnov Mata (Holy Virgin) is situated at a distance of 13 KM from Katra town of Jammu Province of the Jammu and Kashmir State. From Jammu city, the cave is situated at a distance at 64 KM. The cave is 5,200 feet above sea level, and is carved in the heart of a triple-peaked mountain called Trikuta. It has a narrow entrance and is about 100 feet long. Along its length, flows a stream of cold and crystal water. In the sanctum sanctorum of the cave there are three projections over a rock which symbolically represents the powers of Vaishnov Mata (Holy Virgin). Along the trek from the base camp at Katra there are important halting stages which have a mystic significance for the true pilgrim. The upward journey starts from Bana Ganga. The main halting stage of Ad Kunwari (Primordial Virgin) is half-way between the cave and the base camp at Katra. From Ad Kunwari begins the steep climb to Hathi Matha (Elephant's Brow). Every year, millions of pilgrims visit the holy cave of Vaishnov Mata. However, the story and the philosophy behind the great shrine is very little known to the people. In this world some great ideas, with the passage of time, suffer perversion. Perverted form of these ideas gives rise to devilish cults which plague the world and destroy peace and harmony, and prevent the spreading of true knowledge. After a certain period of time some great event takes place which paves the 6 way for the destruction of the bushy growth of dark cults; and the minds of men and women are liberated from the shackles of ignorance. In the poem ‘The Holy Virgin’ a sincere attempt has been made to divulge every aspect of the story behind the great shrine of Vaishnov Mata. In the poem you will find Krishna, accompanied by his consort Kamni, going on the pilgrimage to the holy cave. After starting the trek from the base camp, Kamni has some apprehensive vision. Krishna explains the meaning of the dreadful vision, and then through the power of Yoga makes Kamni, in his own companionship, visualize the whole story and philosophy behind the shrine.

Based primarily on the famous revelations of Ven. Anne Catherine Emmerich and Ven. Mary of Agreda, it also includes many episodes described in the writings of St. Bridget of Sweden and St. Elizabeth of Schenau. To read this book, therefore, is to share in the magnificent visions granted to four of the most priviledged souls in the history of the Church. In complete harmony with the Gospel story, this book reads like a masterfully written novel. It includes such fascinating details as the birth and infancy of Mary, her espousal to St. Joseph and her Assumption into Heaven where she was crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth. For young and old alike, The Life of Mary As Seen by the Mystics will forever impress the reader with an inspiring and truly unforgettable understanding of the otherwise unknown facts concerning Mary and the Holy Family.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 'The Miracles of the Virgin Mary', written c. 1135 by the Benedictine monk and historian William of Malmesbury (d. 1143), is important on several counts. It belongs to the first wave of collected miracles of the Virgin, produced by English Benedictine monks in the 1120s and '30s. These collections were to be influential across Europe because the stories in them were not connected with a particular shrine, but international. Although only two copies of William's collection survive in anything like its complete and original plan, in a dismembered form it too was influential across Europe and through the rest of the medieval period.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book offers a clear, beautiful exposition of Catholic beliefs about Mary. Not a history or a compendium, it was written by a Carmelite monk who spent decades praying and pondering the mysteries of the faith concerning the Mother of Jesus. Catholic Mariology has matured through centuries of meditation upon both the Bible and the Church's faith in the Incarnation. The Marian dogmas of the Church are guarantors of the full meaning of the statement in the Gospel of John that "the word became flesh and dwelt among us" (1:14). Fr. Wilfrid Stinissen shows that Mariology corrects any attempt to minimize the good news that God became man so that man could become like God. In writing about Mary, he underlines the astonishing truth that God has initiated an intimate communion with mankind. In a world that strives to reduce human dignity, Mary reveals the very high value of man in God's eyes and God's wondrous love and plan for each one of us.
