Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents the current state of knowledge concerning developments in organisational behaviour and human capital management in the new millennium. It features an in-depth study among managerial staff in the manufacturing sector in Malaysia to reflect employee perceptions of organisational justice, organisational citizenship behaviour, job satisfaction and manager-employee exchanges. Specifically, it seeks to establish the relationships between these constructs to better manage human capital. With globalisation and the increased career mobility of young talents, organisational citizenship behaviour is of paramount importance in order to retain these workers. The study’s greatest contribution is its identification of key indicators that influence organisational citizenship behaviour. Knowing which type of organisational justice is salient for each construct allows the management to proactively improve conditions at the workplace. In essence, this book is intended to draw attention to those aspects of managing human capital that ought to receive the most attention, but are often overlooked in practice. In light of ongoing global challenges, it seeks to improve governance at the workplace. It offers a valuable resource for researchers and practitioners alike, as well as graduate students writing their dissertations.

Book Synopsis Emerging Strategies in Research—Going Beyond Disciplinary Boundaries by : Santosh Dhar
Download or read book Emerging Strategies in Research—Going Beyond Disciplinary Boundaries written by Santosh Dhar and published by Allied Publishers. This book was released on 2023-04-17 with total page 260 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Going beyond the disciplinary horizons is an emerging trend of research now-a-days. It is becoming increasingly important for addressing society's most pressing needs. Within the disciplinary framework, the ability to solve problems through the generation of knowledge has traditionally been addressed from discipline-specific perspective. However, it has become apparent that the research needed to address today's complex problems requires the expertise from multiple disciplines. Trans-disciplinary, Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary contributions combined concepts and knowledge not only used by academicians and researchers but also other stakeholders in the civic society, including representatives of the private sector, public administrators, and the public. These contributions enable the cross-fertilization of knowledge and experiences from diverse groups of people and contribute towards holistic vision of a subject, as well as new explanatory theories. Rather than being an end in itself, this kind of research is a way of achieving innovative goals, enriched understanding, and a synergy of new methods.
