Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The title of this book is derived from the book of Leviticus, chapter 18 vs 24 & 25: Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: and the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth our her inhabitants . Good readers of the Bible will notice that some expressions used in scripture would require spiritual interpretation before the message God is relaying through such expressions can be properly understood. The above scripture quoted from the book of Leviticus was talking about certain sins which the original inhabitants of the land of Canaan were committing for which they were being vomited out. In that same chapter 18, in the earlier verses before verse 24, these sins were listed. They ranged from all manner sexual sins to sins of idolatry and witchcraft. These sins will be examined in detail in subsequent chapters. The simple interpretation of the above scripture is this: The sins of the people defile the land, and God therefore punishes the land for their sins. But then the land refuses the punishment and therefore vomits out the perpetrators of such sins. There are so many strange things happening in our world today that are defying human explanations. Some of these we will be looking at in the light of the above quoted scripture. One thing about the word of God is that it never grows old and neither does it expire. The effect the word had in Biblical times is the same as today. Humanity has grown so much in terms of technological advancement that God and His word are becoming more and more unreal in their eyes. This book will attempt to offer explanations to why disasters happen in certain areas and in people s lives based on that statement in Leviticus 18 about the earth vomiting out a people from an area.

Book excerpt: Originally published in 1899, The History of Creation was the first book of its kind to apply a doctrine to the whole range of organic morphology and make use of the effect Darwin had on biological sciences during the 19th century. Haeckel looks at Darwin’s reform of Descent Theory and its establishment through the doctrine of selection. He introduces Descent Theory into the systematic classification of animals and plants and finds a "natural system" on the basis of genealogy - that is, to construct hypothetical pedigrees for the various species of organisms. The book will be of interest to those studying natural history and the origins of modern scientific thought, it will appeal to researchers both in the natural sciences and in history.

Book excerpt: A once peaceful planet of refugees faces complete annihilation in this hard science fiction sequel to Brightness Reef. Book Two in the Uplift Storm Trilogy It’s illegal to occupy the planet Jijo, but six castaway races have managed to coexist there for some time. They’ve successfully hidden from watchful law enforcers of the Five Galaxies—until now . . . After making an amazing discovery far away—a derelict armada whose mere existence triggered interstellar war—the Terran exploration vessel Streaker and its crew of humans and dolphins arrive at Jijo in search of sanctuary from the Galactic forces out to destroy them. But they were followed. As behemoth Galactic starships descend upon Jijo, heroic—and terrifying—choices must be made. Together, human and alien settlers must choose whether to fight the invaders or join them. The crew of the Streaker, meanwhile, discovers something that just might save Jijo and its inhabitants . . . or destroy every last one of them. “Well paced, immensely complex, highly literate . . . Superior SF.” —Publishers Weekly, starred review “An imaginative drama of excitement and wonder . . . The sheer virtuosity of the prose alone makes this book worth reading.” —SF Site
