Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book you hold in your hands is unique among publications on biblical prophecy, for it looks at the books of Daniel and Revelation as if they were one book, written by God through two men who lived hundreds of years apart. The author, Allan Nueske, then folds that extended book in two and demonstrates with amazing clarity that the books, one from the Old Testament, and the other from the New Testament, are mirror images. This chiastic approach, which is a rhetorical practice that examines symmetrical patterns in prose, allows Daniel to simplify the confusing parts of Revelation, while Revelation brings the stories of Daniel into practical application for those of us who live in the last days of this earth's history. In this volume you will compare and contrast Daniel's old Jerusalem with Revelation's New Jerusalem. You will discover powerful comparisons between ancient Babylon and the spiritual Babylon of Revelation. As you read, you will feel the power of these comparisons. Your faith in the prophecies will be strengthened, and your walk with the Lord of creation will be empowered.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book in your hands is the second part of The Chiasm of Daniel and Revelation. Unique among publications on biblical prophecy, it looks at the books of Daniel and Revelation as if they were one book written by God through two men living hundreds of years apart. Author Allan A. Nueske uses the insight that the two books are connected in mirror-like fashion to simplify the confusing parts of Revelation by using the simpler book of Daniel, and he brings the stories of Daniel into practical application for those living in the last days of this earth’s history by his use of the parallel section in Revelation. Nueske describes how mankind’s creation provides the final witness on behalf of God, eternally resolving the great controversy over God’s law and constant love. He shows that the history of the church is a repeat, in many ways, of the history of ancient Israel.

Book excerpt: "And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever" (Daniel 2:44). The message of Daniel is that Jesus the Messiah is now ruling over the nations. Daniel tells us that Messiah's kingdom will advance in the whole world from "generation to generation" (Daniel 4:4,34). Christ's dominion is "given to the people of the saints of the most High" (Daniel 7:22). Our purpose then is to see "all people, nations, and languages serve and obey him" (Daniel 7:14,27). "This meticulously researched and thorough treatment of Daniel from a preterist perspective includes over 700 pages of commentary, historical background and setting, New Testament allusions, and much more. It is enhanced with charts, tables, maps, illustrations, and topped off with helpful, thorough indexes." - Kenneth L. Gentry, Jr., Th.D.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book of Daniel records major prophecies that will be fulfilled during the time of the book of the Revelation. One such prophecy is given in Daniel 2:44, which foretells the establishment of God's kingdom of heaven brought down to earth. This event can be studied in Revelation 19:11 20:6. Another of these prophecies is found in Daniel 7:24 25, and its fulfillment is recorded in Revelation 13:1 3. This prophecy speaks of the Roman Empire coming to life again during the tribulation period and, indeed, has already been formed under the name of the European Union. Because of this special relationship between Revelation and Daniel, I have put together the two books in this particular format to expedite and simplify its study.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Most evangelical Christians believe that those people who are not saved before they die will be punished in hell forever. But is this what the Bible truly teaches? Do Christians need to rethink their understanding of hell? In the late twentieth century, a growing number of evangelical theologians, biblical scholars, and philosophers began to reject the traditional doctrine of eternal conscious torment in hell in favor of a minority theological perspective called conditional immortality. This view contends that the unsaved are resurrected to face divine judgment, just as Christians have always believed, but due to the fact that immortality is only given to those who are in Christ, the unsaved do not exist forever in hell. Instead, they face the punishment of the "second death"--an end to their conscious existence. This volume brings together excerpts from a variety of well-respected evangelical thinkers, including John Stott, John Wenham, and E. Earl Ellis, as they articulate the biblical, theological, and philosophical arguments for conditionalism. These readings will give thoughtful Christians strong evidence that there are indeed compelling reasons for rethinking hell.

Ellen White promoted a careful study of the two main books of prophecy in the Bible - Daniel and the Revelation.Ellen White suggested that the books of Daniel and the Revelation should be bound together and published, showing they are related to the same subjects. She also advised that the prophecies of Daniel and the Revelation should be printed in small books with necessary explanations added. This little book fulfills this need. It contains the entire books of Daniel and the Revelation, along with condensed explanations and Ellen White clarifications. Studies on Daniel and Revelation is a perfect study companion for any Bible student.

Book excerpt: The book of Revelation pulls back the curtain to reveal the secrets of the past, present, and future, but nearly two thousand years after it was written it still seems to be shrouded in mystery. A Revelation of Jesus takes a fresh look at the familiar themes of Revelation such as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the mark of the beast, the battle of Armageddon, the Millennium, and many others, using the Bible itself as a guide to cut through the maze of confusion that so often surrounds these vital subjects. The last book of the Bible is not just a collection of enigmatic symbols and metaphors. Using symbolic language, it documents the cosmic struggle between good and evil that began with Satan's rebellion in heaven before the creation of the world. Author David Lackey seeks to unmask Satan's subtle deceptions and point readers to our Creator and Redeemer who will vanquish all evil and usher in a new existence characterized by love, joy, and peace. The purpose of this book is to unpack the prophecies of Revelation to reveal the beauty of Jesus so that in seeing Him more clearly we may fall in love with Him more than ever before and be ready for His soon return.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Daniel and Revela-tion have been studied a long time now, and even some persons have con-cluded that some prophe-cies in Daniel and Reve-lation are multiple appli-cation prophecies. But this commentator has never before seen a book with parallel applications of the prophecies. That is here provided for the reader. The reader will notice that the parallel applications of Daniel 2, 7, 8, and 9 have only three parallel applications drawn out, whereas a portion of Daniel 11 has more drawn out. That is because the commentator has found seven legiti-mate applications of a portion of Daniel 11 (ending with the Ottoman Empire; Nazi Germany; Syria; Iraq; Northern United States; Russia; and the United Nations). To present the seven applica-tions of a portion of Daniel 11, the scriptural text had to be repeated. The Historic application was also repeated along-side the text for com-parison purposes with the other applications. All of the prophetic applications shown or un-shown are or were con-ditional prophecies. For the first applications, however, the conditions have already been met, and the prophecies have been fulfilled. For those applications still un-ful-filled, however, they can be truncated (shortened) at any time by a Rev. 11:15-19 experience.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Written in moments of history when the forces of hell appeared to have taken control of the earth, Daniel and Revelation are the two most intriguing and often difficult Bible books for the average reader to interpret. However, to avoid them is to miss their messages of hope and faith for today's Christians living in a world seemingly engulfed by evil. With easy to understand explanations of why and how apocalyptic literature was written, Dr. Efird strips away the mystery surrounding the strange visions and symbols. Putting them in their proper perspective, he leads the reader to the heart of the biblical writers' very simple message - ÓGod is always in control.Ó Dr. Efird presents Daniel and Revelation not as mere road maps for the end of the world, but as magnificent biblical literature to give Christians confidence in the supreme majesty and power of God. Excellent for personal or group study with reflective questions for each chapter.
