We include a message spoken by Brother Lee to the serving ones in the church in Taipei in 1960 on the building up and the need for consecration for the building. All the work in the New Testament is for the building up of the church as God’s habitation, and the practical building requires that we offer ourselves up in consecration to God. This consecration is twofold: According to Romans 6, it is the presenting of our specific members to live a life of sanctification and righteousness in Christ, and according to Romans 12, it is the presenting of our whole being to be the material for God’s building. The following six messages are from the first half of the Living Stream Ministry’s Summer Training of 1997, entitled The Crucial Contents of God’s New Testament Ministry. On June 9, 1997 our Brother Lee rested from his labors and went to be with the Lord. This training, which followed immediately after our brother’s departure, was a thorough review of the contents of the New Testament ministry, which he brought to us over many years. In 2 Timothy 3:14 Paul says, “But you, continue in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from which ones you have learned them.” The messages in this series are a tribute to and a reminder of the ones through whom we learned the things of God’s New Testament ministry. In this training the local churches raised up under this ministry resolved anew to continue in these things. Lastly, we report on the Lord’s move in His ministry on the earth. Letters from Berlin, Germany and Warsaw, Poland testify of the opened door in Europe through the blending of the churches and the publications of the ministry.

The general subject of the blending conference is "The Vision, Ministry, and Ministers of the Age." In every age there is a particular vision given by God, a specific ministry of that age, and a minister or ministers used by God to fulfill their commission to bear, release, and trumpet the ministry of that age. In every age God gives a particular vision that guards, controls, and governs His people so that they may serve Him according to the vision of that age. The governing vision of the Bible is the Triune God working Himself into His chosen and redeemed people in order to saturate their entire being with the Divine Trinity for the producing and building up of the Body of Christ consummating in the New Jerusalem. The vision that the Lord has given to His recovery is an all-inclusive vision--the all-inheriting vision of the age. Our vision extends all the way from Adam's vision of the tree of life in the garden of Eden to the New Jerusalem with the tree of life. The ministry of this age builds up the Body of Christ, which is to build up the New Jerusalem; prepares the bride of Christ, which is to prepare the New Jerusalem because the New Jerusalem is the bride of Christ; and brings in the kingdom of God, the ultimate manifestation and consummation of which is the New Jerusalem. Therefore, the ministry of this age fulfills the direction of the Lord's move today. The ministry of the age ministers the present truth to God's people. The present truth, the highest peak of the divine revelation given to us by God through the ministry of this age, is the revelation of the eternal economy of God. God becoming man so that man might become God in life and in nature but not in the Godhead is the essence of the entire Bible, the "diamond" in the "box" of the Bible, the eternal economy of God. God and man will become one entity, and that one entity is the mingling of divinity with humanity, which will consummate in the New Jerusalem, the conclusion of the entire Bible. The ministers of the age are those who have the vision of the age and the ministry of the age and know what God is speaking and doing in the present age. The ministers of the age are patterns to the believers so that they may be perfected to do the work of the ministry for the building up of the Body of Christ. The ministers of the age have four characteristics: First, they are men who allow their natural ability to be terminated by the cross so that all their ability is in resurrection. Second, they are tree-of-life persons. Third, they know the central work of God. Fourth, they pay more attention to life than to work. The general subject of the special conference is "Special Fellowship concerning the World Situation and the Lord's Move." Messages 4 and 5 of this special conference were spoken in English and therefore are included in this issue. The following statement encapsulates the burden of the conference: The Announcements section at the end of this issue contains a list of upcoming conferences and trainings hosted by Living Stream Ministry and a website link for information related to similar events in Europe.

Having survived much persecution to be translated into many languages and dialects today, the Bible is a precious gift that the Lord has bestowed on us. Therefore, we believers should treasure it. The contents of the Bible are profound and mysterious, being a revelation and explanation of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself and the processes through which He passed. Therefore, we should highly regard the Bible, read it diligently, and come to it to receive the Lord as life. The following six messages are from the 2000 Memorial Day Conference in San Jose, California, entitled “A New Revival—Becoming the New Jerusalem.” In this series of messages, the New Jerusalem is presented not in a general way, but in a way that specifically focuses on becoming the New Jerusalem. Hence, the burden of these messages can be summarized in the following four statements: 1) the New Jerusalem is the consummation of God becoming man and man becoming God in life, in nature, and in expression but not in the Godhead; 2) the Triune God and we become the New Jerusalem by the divine dispensing of Himself into us as the flowing Triune God for our enjoyment to be our eternal blessing for His eternal glory; 3) we become the New Jerusalem, the enlargement of God, the corporate God-man, through the process of God’s organic salvation; and 4) the consummation of God’s organic salvation is the New Jerusalem, the processed and consummated Triune God incorporated with His regenerated, sanctified, renewed, transformed, conformed, and glorified tripartite elect. Last of all, we include an announcement which contains information concerning upcoming conferences and gatherings in Europe.
