The trainers are: • Klaus Balkenhol: Olympic Individual Bronze and two-time gold Team medal winner; coached the German Olympic gold medal team including the individual silver and bronze medalists and the USA Olympic bronze medal team. •Ernst Hoyos: trained Ulla Salzgeber, winner of two Olympic Team gold medals, and Lisa Wilcox, member of the United States Equestrian Team bronze medal squad. •Dr. Uwe Schulten-Baumer: trained Nicole Uphoff and Isabel Werth, Olympic equestrian record holders of four gold medals; Dr Schulten-Baumer Jr., winner of team gold medal in the 1980 Alternate Olympics and 1978 World Championships •George Theodorescu: trainer of many top international teams and riders, including his daughter Monica, three-time Olympic Team gold medalist Each chapter includes insightful descriptions and sequence photographs of exercises and other teaching techniques, and the book concludes with a detailed index that cross-references training problems as a handy guide for the reader-rider's own program. Book Synopsis A Better Way of Training and Riding Horses by : Richard Chamberlin
Download or read book A Better Way of Training and Riding Horses written by Richard Chamberlin and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2012-05-31 with total page 104 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: My aim with this book was twofold. I wanted a book that could be kept with your tack as a handy reference and to give easy, understandable information that all can make good use of. This book is about having the chance to try a better way to understand riding and training. It covers most things people need to train themselves and their horses. It goes through some simple to understand ideas so everyone can try. More advanced understanding can come through my other books or your own studies.I consider horses are the same, when born, everywhere in the world. If a horse has a problem, man put it there, therefore studying how past masters evolved horsemanship is important. They have tried it all before and then handed their understanding to us. There seems to be a lot of new techniques and ways to train horses like “Horse Whispering”, “Equine body language”, “Parelli” and others. All this work has been carried out before, and if people thought about it, most of it people already do. It is good to understand all aspects of horsemanship, from equestrian science to Classical Dressage, but it is important to not lose sight of the art and passion for training horses. I consider horse owners to be intelligent people who know when something is right, but due to the confusion of so many methods sometimes lose sight of where they're going. This book gives all the tools needed to produce a horse that is enjoyable to ride, whether your chosen discipline is dressage, show jumping, eventing or just hacking. You don't need gadgets, just thought and common sense. People who don't ride will find this interesting and informative, helping them to understand those who do. Good riding is not something that can only be carried by a few, but can be achieved by all. This book is a needed guide to help people start to understand and remind those that do about the true art of riding and training.

Book Synopsis The Art of Liberty Training for Horses by : Jonathan Field
Download or read book The Art of Liberty Training for Horses written by Jonathan Field and published by Trafalgar Square. This book was released on 2014 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "At its most basic, many think of liberty as playing with a horse without halters, leads, or other tack. True liberty, says Field, is much more than simply removing equipment and stepping outside the pen or arena: it is moving with your horse, communicating only with intention, and creating a seamless, smooth, and rhythmic dance ... Developing communication skills and your relationship with your horse through liberty benefits all that you do with your horse - whether on the ground or in the saddle; whether competing or riding for pleasure. Quick responses to subtle cues, clear aids, and a relaxed and attentive horse ... With Jonathan Field's step-by-step liberty training method, you learn to have a better feel, to reward the horse sooner, and to time your aids just right to ensure you get the response you want. Plus, you discover how to approach things from the individual horse's perspective - an important key to getting a horse to act because he wants to, rather than because he has to"--Publisher's description.
