What kind of entrepreneurial ecosystems have evolved for tech start-up promotion? What is their structure? What role do they play in the nurturing of tech start-ups to the advantage of regional economies? This book examines the trend of evolving entrepreneurial ecosystems for tech start-ups in India, ascertains its structure and examines its role in the nurturing of tech start-ups over its lifecycle, to bring out its implications for Indian economy. At the outset, it traces and conceptualizes what it terms an "ideal ecosystem" for tech start-ups in the Indian context, and explores the historical evolution of entrepreneurial ecosystems in two of the six leading start-up hubs in the country, namely, Bangalore and Hyderabad. It describes the characteristics and the structure of these ecosystems as they prevailed in the two start-up hubs, and analyses the role that they play in nurturing the development of tech start-ups. Finally, this book explores the ecosystem gaps that exist in the two cities, the factors causing these gaps, and makes policy recommendations to encourage the growth of a "healthy and vibrant" entrepreneurial ecosystem for the accelerated growth of tech start-ups in these two cities in particular, to promote employment, innovation and economic growth in the country at large. Policy makers, researchers, engineering and management students, technology and business mentors, angels, venture capitalists, and MNC executives will find the book informative, revealing and a source of valuable insights into a new, rapidly emerging entrepreneurial India.

This new breed of self-starter is taking local turmoil and turning it into opportunities, making millions, creating thousands of jobs and changing the face of modern entrepreneurship at the same time. To tell this story, Lacy spent forty weeks traveling through Asia, South America and Africa hunting down the most impressive up-and-comers the developed world has never heard of....yet. It is important as evidence has suggested that the probability of entrepreneurs’ success enhances when they thoroughly appreciate the components of the entrepreneurial process as well as how to effectively use them. The fact that nearly 33 percent of new firms fail within the first two years while twenty percent fail within four to five years of their existence makes it evident that while many people are highly motivated to start new firms, motivation alone is not sufficient, rather it should be coupled with relevant information, a strong business idea, a well-crafted business plan, and sound execution to maximize chances for success. This work offers an insightful and a practical guide to the process of launching and growing an entrepreneurial organisation with success. It will therefore serve as an important resource to students of Entreprenuership and to anyone interested in the field, academically or practically.

This book was released on 2018-10-10 with total page 444 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many standard BOP models have been undergoing radical transformations. Newer functioning models with inclusivity with holistic, systems approach is the mantra. Development has morphed into community leadership, and societal fabric building now frames the effect of corporate governance activities on shareholder value. Not surprisingly, new voices have been calling for reinvention of marketing. CEO's cannot get clear, compelling answers about marketing's impact on the bottom line. The adage of Sam Wanamaker- that he knows that 50 percent of his advertisement works but he does not know which half –still haunts management. Consider the following: Economic liberalisation has given a new impetus to the hospitality industry. It costs an average of US$50-80 million to set up five-star hotels with 300 rentable rooms in India. The gestation period is usually between three and four years. Movements in real estate prices have to be watched, though they have stabilised in the past three years or so. Non-five-star hotels are obviously cheaper and have smaller gestation periods, but international chains are expected to go into the five-star category. Biswajit Pattajoshi offers not only a candid critique of eradicating poverty, through bottom of pyramid spins but more important a clear agenda –indeed the Samaritans agenda-for meaningful change in end of poverty by immortal brand equity white horse. He calls upon leadership to deliver value and solutions, not physicality colours. He believes that the stalwart must understand their building blocks and operations from finance to supplier partnerships. They must co-operate and compete on multidisciplinary teams, because BOP model fails whenever any part of greater agenda fails to cohort with great acres. BOP's are posing titan challenges to manage marketing tornadoes, many of which are exemplary spectaculars in waves of shareholders. Marketing change agents have led to innovative, community building indispensability models that track futuristic transformation eradicating poverty, establishing peace revolution. If community building model's take-off profits are harnessed by the BOP.
