Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Fullness Of Christ is a message of meditation based on the Bible and written by Octavius Winslow (1 August 1808 – 5 March 1878), also known as "The Pilgrim's Companion", was a prominent 19th-century evangelical preacher in England and America. A Baptist minister for most of his life and contemporary of Charles Spurgeon and J. C. Ryle, he seceded to the Anglican church in his last decade. Octavius's mother, Mary Forbes (1774 – 1854) had Scottish roots but was born and raised in Bermuda and was the only child of Dr. and Mrs George Forbes. On 6 September 1791, when she was just 17, she married Army Lieutenant Thomas Winslow of the 47th Regiment. Shortly after this, she came under spiritual convictions and was brought to gospel deliverance while pleading the promise, "Ask, and ye shall receive" Mary and Thomas Winslow went on to live in England and Octavius was born in Pentonville, a village near London, on 1 August 1808. He was the eighth of 13 children. Those children recorded in the family bible of Robert Winslow, brother of Octavius, are: • Thomas Forbes (1795) • Isaac Deblois (1799) • Edward (1801) • George Erving (1804) • Henry James (1806) • Robert Forbes (1807) • Octavius (1808, • Forbes (1810) • Emma (1813) • Mary (1814) Thomas and Mary had three children who died before their first birthday. They are: • Mary (1814) • Robert Deblois (1798) • Mary Elizabeth (1803). Octavius seems to have been given his name because he was then the eighth surviving child. As a child, Octavius and family would worship at Pentonville Chapel under the ministry of Rev. Thomas Sheppard. During this time of his life, he suffered from what seemed to be a life-threatening illness. While staying in Twickenham, a nurse accidentally administered an incorrect medicine that doctors would later say would have killed ten men. Octavius's father was from a wealthy family but by 1815, following his retirement from the army, he suffered ill health and the loss of his fortune due to one of several national financial disasters that occurred in this period. A decision was soon made to move to America, but before Mr. Winslow could join his wife and children in New York, he died. At the same time, their youngest child died too. Octavius was but 7 years old.

Insightful yet unobtrusive facing-page commentary explains the subtleties of the text, allowing you to unlock the power of its teachings and help prevent and resolve the conflicts in your own life.

Book excerpt: "As pragmatic as it is compassionate, this intimate, humorous, and ultimately relaxing invitation to re-wild yourself, stripping away all that is not your true nature, will leave you inspired and curious to discover the wild woman within" (Lissa Rankin, MD, New York Times bestselling author of Mind Over Medicine). For the high-achieving modern woman today, having a successful career, a fulfilling romantic relationship, and a satisfying personal life can feel like opposing goals. It has even become difficult to take the time to enjoy the simple pleasures in lives. We are stuck in "go-mode," damaging our romantic relationships, pleasure, and creativity. But what if there were a way to experience the simplest pleasures of our lives on a deeper level, freeing the body and psyche from these destructive patterns? Beyond our current stereotypes about femininity lies the ancient wisdom of the Wild Woman archetype, a model of building a feminine "body intelligence." By embodying this archetype and using tantra--not just in the bedroom, but also to build intimate connections to our senses and physical movements--we can break harmful psychological patterns. In The Wild Woman's Way, Michaela Boehm shares practical rituals and exercises drawn from years of experience as a celebrity relationship and life counselor and an expert in tantric yoga. She reveals the power of different types of touch, while also training you in forms of meditation and stretching that increase activity and sensual pleasure.

Book excerpt: Satan is on a quest to bring about the End of Days in this riveting thriller by Jerry Pollock. Satan, long banished from Heaven by God, begins his quest for world domination in the Garden of Eden, where he tempts Eve to eat a fig from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Traveling forward in time, Satan finds himself in present-day America-where the President and his son Cain are his descendants. Standing between Satan and his unholy mission are some unforgettable characters who represent the good in humankind. Abel Slobodkin is a righteous young man, and doesn't realize it, but he has been chosen by God to battle against Satan's evil plans. He will clearly need the help of his future mother-in-law, Dr. Elizabeth Corsini, a brilliant psychiatrist at a Washington, DC, hospital. In the course of treating a mental patient, reporter Esther Hirsch, Elizabeth begins to realize that Esther's recurring nightmare is not just the product of a troubled mind, it is both biblical in nature-and represents a covert operation being carried on by the White House. Elizabeth soon realizes there is a conspiracy in the works, called Code Name Daniel, and people involved are turning up dead. She realizes she is next to be killed unless she, and her sister, FBI agent Daniela Corsini, trade their information on operation Code Name Daniel, for their lives. A showdown takes place after the president wins reelection in 2020, and Cain becomes his powerful chief of staff. God and Satan order Abel and Cain to fight a duel, which takes place against the backdrop of Arlington National Cemetery. In a climax that is both harrowing and uplifting, God returns to make his presence known to Earth by performing miracles incredible to Him, and the hidden meaning of Gog and Magog is revealed.

As a result, many Christian men, single and married, are frustrated with their love lives and their sex lives. The authors of this book claim that Christian men should be the greatest lovers in the world and then work to show men how to do it. They help men: -learn what the Bible says about a healthy sex life -discover how to relate to women as men instead of as boys -address psychological and spiritual issues that interfere with healthy sexuality -learn specific techniques that create a strong relationship, great foreplay, and passionate sex Solidly based in Scripture and informed by the experiences of the authors, all respected sex therapists, What Wives Wish Their Husbands Knew about Sex dispels the myths that keep good Christian men from experiencing sex as God meant it to be. Perfect for any man, it is also a great book for counselors and pastors who work with men.
