Book Synopsis China's New Consumers by : Elisabeth Croll
Download or read book China's New Consumers written by Elisabeth Croll and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2006-09-26 with total page 746 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Exploring China's consumer revolution over the past three decades, this book shows a continuing cycle leading to excess supply and disappointing demand, at the centre of which lies exaggerated expectations of China's new consumers. Combining economic trends with the author’s anthropological background, China’s New Consumers details the livelihoods and lifestyles of China's new and evolving social categories who, divided by wealth, location and generation, have both benefited from and been disadvantaged by the past two decades of reform and rapid economic growth. Given that consumption is about so much more than shopping and spending, this book focuses on the perceptions, priorities and concerns of China's new consumers which are an essential part of any contemporary narrative about China's domestic market. Documenting the social consequences of several decades of rapid economic growth and the new interest in 'all-round' social development, China's New Consumers will be of value to students, entrepreneurs and a wide variety of readers who are interested in social trends and concerns in China today.

His ranch is the talk of exclusive Paradise Cove. But it's his gorgeous neighbor who's arousing the California cowboy's fantasies. Charli Reed sits a horse like no woman Warren's ever seen. Instead of pushing him away, her blatant lack of interest only increases his desire to execute the ultimate seduction. Just because Warren's as rich as Midas doesn't make the entrepreneur turned rancher a hero in Charli's eyes. And how can she trust a Drake—her family's most hated enemy? But Warren's sensual passion is slowly melting her resistance. Working together to catch the thieves who could turn their dreams to dust, Charli has to choose: hold on to the past or risk her heart for a love that's the most priceless treasure of all….

Book Synopsis Fighting Only Gets You Somewhere by : Samantha Hartley
Download or read book Fighting Only Gets You Somewhere written by Samantha Hartley and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2013-11-05 with total page 611 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Everyone has a battle in life that theyve had to face. For me, well, it wasnt something that a typical teenage girl had to deal with. No, it wasnt a lifelong disease or some crippling addiction I was trying to beat either. But, in a way, I guess you could say it was. My battle only got harder and 10 times more complicated when I met a Nixon. Then it got even worse when I met the rest of the Nixon clan. While I wouldnt say that my life was normal before I met William Nixon, I was actually trying to make it that way. I was trying to distance myself from what Id wrapped my whole life around. But one mistake one stupid decision to go back to the warehouse undid two years worth of hard work. Now I was back to where I started addicted, bloodied, crippled, and diseased. Only, I wasnt really. That would mean I was home and in reality I was the furthest thing from it. If I were home that would mean most things would be back to the way they were. But they werent. They couldnt be. There was only one thing that always seemed to stay the same. The place I could never escape. The place that drew me back time and time again. The warehouse. All I can say though is fighting only gets you somewhere. And I learned that the hard way.
