Book excerpt: A search is performed for mixing and CP violation in D[sup 0] decays from a 57 fb[sup -1] dataset acquired by the Babar experiment near the Upsilon(4S). The time-dependence is measured of wrong-sign decays D[sup 0] --> K[sup +] [pi][sup -] and also the lifetime ratios [tau](D[sup 0] --> K[sup -][pi][sup +])/[tau](D[sup 0] --> K[sup -]K[sup +]) and [tau](D[sup 0] --> K[sup -][pi][sup +])/[tau](D[sup 0] --> [pi][sup -][pi][sup +]). For the decays D[sup 0] --> K[sub s][sup 0]K[sup [+-]][pi][sup -] and D[sup 0] --> K[sub s][sup 0]K[sup +]K[sup -], preliminary measurements are presented of their branching fractions relative to that of D[sup 0] --> K[sub s][sup 0][pi][sup +][pi][sup -], together with an analysis of their Dalitz plot distributions.

Book excerpt: The authors present a precision measurement of the mass of the {Lambda}{sub c}{sup +} and studies of the production and decay of the {Omega}{sub c}{sup 0} and {Xi}{sub c}{sup 0} charm baryons using data collected by the BABAR experiment. To keep the systematic uncertainty as low as possible, the {Lambda}{sub c}{sup +} mass measurement is performed using the low Q-value decays, {Lambda}{sub c}{sup +} {yields} {Lambda}{sup 0} K{sub S}{sup 0}K{sup +} and {Lambda}{sub c}{sup +} {yields} {Sigma}{sup 0} K{sub S}{sup 0}K{sup +}. Several hadronic final states involving an {Omega}{sup -} and a {Xi}{sup -} hyperon are analyzed to reconstruct the {Xi}{sub c}{sup 0} and the {Omega}{sub c}{sup 0}.

Book excerpt: The BABAR detector, which operates at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric e[sup+]e[sup -] collider at energies near the[Upsilon](4S) resonance, started operation on the 26th of May 1999. They present the first study of sin2[beta], with samples of B[sup 0][yields] J/[psi] K[sub s][sup 0] and B[sup 0][yields][psi](2S) K[sub 2][sup 0] decays, using 9.0 fb[sup -1] of data recorded between January and July 2000 at the[Upsilon](4S) resonance and 0.8 fb[sup -1] recorded 40 MeV below the[Upsilon](4S) resonance. A preliminary result of sin2[beta]= 0.12[+-] 0.37(stat)[+-] 0.09(syst) was obtained. Details of the analysis are given. Moreover, they present measurements of charged and neutral B meson lifetimes and B[sup 0][bar B][sup 0] oscillation frequency.
