Download or read book Mental Bondage in the Name of God written by Aidid Safar and published by Trafford. This book was released on 2007-02 with total page 398 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A comprehensive study of one of the three main religions from its original scriptural text. It exposes the manner of how the enemies of a prophet distorted the 'words' to create a religion of 'Islam' as we know and see it today. Like Judaism and Christianity, the religionists have invented the Arab religion. Obviously, this research shocks the Muslims around the world, yet it sovereigns the bondage of the critical minds among them - it is a revelation to humanity.

Book Synopsis Corpus Inscriptionum Arabicarum Palaestinae, Volume Two: -B-C- by : Moshe Sharon
Download or read book Corpus Inscriptionum Arabicarum Palaestinae, Volume Two: -B-C- written by Moshe Sharon and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2021-07-26 with total page 460 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Western Palestine is extremely rich in Arabic inscriptions, whose dates range from as early as CE 150 until modern times. Most of the inscriptions date from the Islamic period, for under Islam the country gained particular religious and strategic importance, even though it made up only part of the larger province of Syria. This historical importance is clearly reflected in the hundreds of inscriptions, the texts of which cover a variety of topics: construction, dedication, religious endowments, epitaphs, Qur'anic texts, prayers and invocations, all now assembled in the Corpus Inscriptionum Arabicarum Palaestinae (CIAP). The CIAP follows the method established at the end of the 19th century by Max van Berchem, namely, the studying of the Arabic inscriptions 'in context'. Van Berchem managed to publish two volumes of the inscriptions from Jerusalem: the CIAP covers the entire country. The inscriptions are arranged according to site, and are studied in their respective topographical, historical and cultural context. In this way the CIAP offers more than a survey of inscriptions: it represents the epigraphical angle of the geographical history of the Holy Land. Volume One: (A) was published in 1997, Volume Two: (B-C) in 1999, Volume Three: (D-F) in 2004, Volume Four: (G) in 2008, an Addendum in 2007, Volume Five: (H-I) in 2013, Volume Six: J (1) in 2016 and Volume Seven: J (2) Jerusalem 1 in 2021. All volumes are still available.

Book Synopsis Iran and the West by : Margaux Whiskin
Download or read book Iran and the West written by Margaux Whiskin and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2018-04-27 with total page 372 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the age of the Sasanian Empire (224-651 AD), Iran and the West have time and again appeared to be at odds. Iran and the West charts this contentious and complex relationship by examining the myriad ways the two have perceived each other, from antiquity to today. Across disciplines, perspectives and periods contributors consider literary, imagined, mythical, visual, filmic, political and historical representations of the 'other' and the ways in which these have been constructed in, and often in spite of, their specific historical contexts. Many of these narratives, for example, have their origin in the ancient world but have since been altered, recycled and manipulated to fit a particular agenda. Ranging from Tacitus, Leonidas and Xerxes via Shahriar Mandanipour and Azar Nafisi to Rosewater, Argo and 300, this inter-disciplinary and wide-ranging volume is essential reading for anyone working on the complex history, present and future of Iranian-Western relations.
