Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A variety of books on spiritual leadership exist written by respected authors with unique insights and perspectives. This book on revival leadership is no exception. Dr. K. Bobie Amankwatia, having served in several ministry capacities, including youth leader, senior pastor, church planter, Bible college teacher/administrator and Christian counselor for over 40 years, brings a fresh perspective to this important subject. He explores the leadership principles that helped Zerubbabel usher the Jews from the doldrums of brokenness, desolation and discouragement back to their ancestral home. There they reclaimed and maintained their inheritance with renewed vigor and faith in their God. Today’s body of Christ can benefit from these principles. Some of the principles addressed in this book help leaders set priorities, move in faith and conviction to accomplish the seemingly impossible, and confront challenges to ensure harmony in times of revival.

Book excerpt: The nature of evangelical identity in Britain is both a perennial issue and an urgent one. This is especially the case because evangelical Christianity has, throughout its history, been characterized by a remarkable degree of dynamism and diversity. These essays, by a distinguished list of contributors, explore the issue of evangelical identity and the nature of evangelical diversity by investigating the interactions of evangelicalism with national and denominational identities, race and gender, and its expression in spirituality and culture from the evangelical revivals of the eighteenth century to evangelical churches and movements of the present. A second volume will investigate similar issues in relation to evangelical interactions with the Bible and theology. Contributors: Rob Ambler, Andrew Atherstone, Kristin Aune, David W. Bebbington, David Goodhew, John Harvey, Andrew R. Holmes, David Ceri Jones, Ian Jones, Rachel Jordan, David Killingray, Ian Randall, Mark Smith, Brian Talbot, Peter Webster, Martin Wellings, and Eryn White.

Book excerpt: The Complete Works of Zacharias Tanee Fomum on Leadership (Volume 4) contains the following books: Laws of Spiritual Leadership The Ministers and Ministry of the New Covenant You, Your Team and Your Ministry Leading a Local Church, (Volume 1) Making Spiritual Progress, (Volume 2) Spiritual leadership does not happen by accident. It is not a haphazard thing. There is a science behind spiritual leadership. Travel with the author through this systematic science outlined in the laws of spiritual leadership. While following this sweet science of leadership, do not forget to take care of the horse that is drawing the cart. If the cart is taken so much care of and none is given to the horse, the horse may get sick and die, and the cart will no longer be drawn, and the journey will stall. The leader must take care of his body to keep it fit for service. The apostle Paul says, “For physical training is of some value...” (1 Timothy 4:8a). He must take care of his soul, spirit and heart to keep them in Christ (Philippians 4:7). The author tacitly brings into the equation how to lead a local church. When the Good Samaritan offered first aid to the man who was attacked and severely wounded by armed robbers on the highway from Jerusalem to Jericho, he did not leave him there. He took him to an inn where they took proper care of him over a long period of time. The local church is the best place where to keep your people safe as you lead them toward destiny. It is the surest and most secure place on planet Earth where to retain the people as you lead them into God’s purposes. Why? Rage as they may, the gates of hell cannot, and can never, overcome the church (Matthew 16:18). We send this fourth volume on leadership out with a cry to the Lord that He should use it to build many into leaders of His people capable of leading them into the totality of His purposes in this generation and beyond.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the story of the kids who built a world-class church — Heart of God Church started as a divine experiment to build a prototype Youth Church. Now it has developed into a proof of concept that Youths can build a STRONG CHURCH. GenerationS is a mindset-shifting, heart-changing book that shows you how to raise up generations of young people in your church to build His kingdom. After over 20 years, this youth church, operated by youths, for youths to reach youths, still has an average age of 22. “I see a great struggle in the global churches in keeping the young people… At Heart of God Church, things are different. After ministering in the biggest churches and conferences all over the world, what I’ve witnessed at Heart of God Church is unlike anything I have experienced before. What Heart of God Church has wonderfully modelled for us all should not only be applauded and admired; it should also be reproduced everywhere.” – JOHN BEVERE, International bestselling author The Bait of Satan, Co-Founder, Messenger International “On my most recent visit, one of my band was so wowed by the environment of the visual/video tech room – where he saw not just one operator at each station, but three... (This) was so impressive – there was one operator, one trainer and one trainee. These were people in their mid to high teens, some as young as 12 or 13... Considering the amount of responsibility a video/visual team carries in a large service, and how much specialised technical skill there is to learn... he was amazed. There was a beautiful trust being placed in these young people... and ultimately it’s the Jesus model of discipleship.” – MATT REDMAN, Two-time Grammy Award winner, singer-songwriter and worship leader Bonus #1: Contributors and ‘Inside Stories’ Read 1,000+ word contributions from 13 other contributing writers that provide an ‘inside look’ and 360º view of HOGC.

Book excerpt: This volume provides an account of the surprising ‘in-breaking’ of spiritual life that persists in our culture, despite the best efforts of atheist spokespersons and secular theorists. Spirituality in its varying forms is irrepressible, resisting our attempts to exclude it by continuing to seep through the cracks and leak through the gaps. When it is allowed to manifest itself through the Christian faith-tradition, it has the power to surprise, transform and renew everything it touches. This volume contains a series of case studies, each of which describes the inner-functionings and out-workings of the spiritual life as a transformative point of contact between God, world, society and self. Each chapter contains high-level inquiry, drawing on best-practice scholarship that is deeply aware of the needs and opportunities that confront 21st-century society.

It draws extensively on original empirical research that explores school leaders’ perceptions of how leadership and management training impacted their professional practices, and how these practices in turn impacted the dynamics of school operations. This book addresses a critical need to understand how to support leadership development for all Pacific schools, but especially in schools that are faced with the increasing challenges of learning and teaching conditions. In small island developing states in the Pacific region, school leaders face a myriad of challenges due to limited human and material resources, and a fragile economic base. Written by Pacific Islander authors, this book provides insights from different countries in the Pacific Islands. It shows how contextual challenges can exert enormous pressure on school leaders who are leading and managing schools without any leadership preparation. Given the importance of effective leadership practices and its impact on student learning outcomes, this book aims to be a source of reference for practitioners and educational authorities who have a vested interest in the provision of quality education in the Pacific region and beyond.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The idea of the ‘enterprise culture’ has been much vaunted over the last few decades: the growth of self-employment and small business ownership has been an important feature of the restructuring of the British economy. Because it is a concept that is difficult to evaluate, controversial and politically sensitive, social scientists were slow to analyse it. Consequently, it had been caricatured and many questions about its impact on society and the economy had been left unanswered. This collection, which was first published in 1991, presents a critical analysis of the various manifestations of the enterprise culture. Drawing upon a range of research, it deals with a number of related topics. The result is a powerful analysis of the material and ideological role of the petty bourgeoisie in contemporary capitalism. Its multidisciplinary approach, which contributions from leading scholars in the field, makes this book of interest to anyone wanting to make sense of the socio-economic restructuring of Britain.

This book was released on 2016-09-06 with total page 743 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This first volume of the complete works of Zacharias Tanee Fomum on leadership carries five fascinating titles: BOOK 1: KNOWING THE GOD OF UNPARALLELED GOODNESS BOOK 2: THE SECRET OF SPIRITUAL REST BOOK 3: BROKENNESS: THE SECRET OF SPIRITUAL OVERFLOW BOOK 4: SPIRITUAL NOBILITY: THE STORY OF JOSEPH BOOK 5: LEADING GOD’S PEOPLE: THE EXAMPLE OF MOSES The messages in this book were shared during two leadership courses in the city of Yaounde in the years 1979 and 1980. They are produced here just as they were prepared for those meetings. There was no thought in our minds then that they would ever go into print. God has however confirmed many of the things that he led us to share with his people then and we feel led to put them into book form and share them with as many of His children as He will allow us to. God calls into spiritual leadership all who make spiritual progress. all believers are called to be spiritual leaders. Some will lead one person, others will lead ten people and others will lead one thousand people and so forth. You are a spiritual leader! Someone is looking on you to lead him to Christ or to lead him along the christian way. You must become and continue to be the leader that God meant you to be. God has called you to lead one, two, ten, one hundred, one thousand or more people. He has called you to lead them out of the captivity of sin and self into the fullness of the obedient and sanctified life. In order to accomplish your job, you must be rightly related to Him. Spiritual leadership is conditioned on a profound and intimate knowledge of God. The spiritual leader is a man hungry for God, a seeker after God. Without a deep and intimate knowledge of God, any leadership that is exercised is merely natural based on natural talent and this can never satisfy the heart of God. leadership is conditioner in a life sacrificed, wasted and sold out for others. Without this, a man may just be a seeker after God. With this, the seeker after God becomes, in addition, a seeker of men and that is spiritual leadership. God gives limitless authority to those whom He puts into leadership. He backs them without reservation and judges them with greatest severity. Divine privileges carry with them great responsibilities. All who are called by God into leadership must walk carefully before Him or be disqualified. Victory is possible for the obedient leader. Be one such. These messages are sent out with prayer that the Lord will use them to reach out to the needs of some in the Body of His son; they are sent out with prayer that the Lord will use them to encourage those who are called to leadership in the Bride of His son.

Book excerpt: In Separation from the Common, author Zacharias Tanee Fomum shares his personal journey of obedience to God's call to live a life of separation from the ordinary. Fomum's journey began with small steps of obedience, like giving away his suits when God asked him to, but it soon became a radical commitment to living a life different from what obtains in the world around him. Using biblical examples and others from Church history, Fomum makes the case that all who are called by God to specific tasks are called away from the ordinary life and to uncommon lifestyle, He argues that success and distinction come at a great price and that responsibility curtails a person's freedom. Fomum's book challenges readers to consider whether they are willing to pay the price for success and follow the narrow way that Jesus walked. Through his own story and reflections on the Scripture, Fomum offers encouragement to those who are willing to heed God's call to a life of separation from the common. He reminds readers that they can hear God's voice and that He will be their guide and helper on the path to success in Him. Separation from the Common is a challenging and inspiring call to a radical commitment to Christ and a life that stands out from the crowd.
