L'éducation thérapeutique offre une prise en charge de qualité par les professionnels de santé pour répondre à ce besoin et améliorer la qualité de vie des patients. Méthode : Etude descriptive des représentations de l'éducation thérapeutique par douze étudiants de la santé en fin de formation, lors d'un séminaire pluridisciplinaire, utilisant un questionnaire et une échelle de valeur type Likert à taille humaine. Résultats : L'éducation thérapeutique nécessite une relation de confiance impliquant connaissances, organisation, communication et investissement de la part de chaque intervenant. Notre rôle de soignant est de définir des objectifs avec le patient et de l'accompagner pour le rendre acteur dans sa prise en charge et capable de prendre soin de lui. Discussion : L'éducation thérapeutique suit une méthode et nécessite une formation. Ses bénéfices se répercutent sur le patient, le soignant et la société. L'intérêt d'un travail en groupe pluridisciplinaire permet une meilleure communication et une approche centrée sur le patient avec partage de compétences pour un partenariat de qualité. Conclusion : Cette réflexion interdisciplinaire nous amène à penser qu'une formation en éducation thérapeutique lors de nos études aiderait chaque professionnel à se sentir concerné et à remettre en question ses pratiques pour appliquer une posture éducative au quotidien, dans l'intérêt du patient.
