Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I Remember Yesterday is an effort at reminding us that the past has a numerous lessons to be learned if we take the time to explore its content. We have a tendency to take the positive aspects of our lives for granted, and view the negative experiences as destructive, therefore the negative events instead of being evaluated and understood are quickly rejected and the valuable lessons that they portray are lost. Joseph Trevinos new book I Remember Yesterday are the memoirs of an individual who has experience a lot of good and negative thing in his life, and has developed the knowledge that events in our lives do not happen in a random fashion. People we meet, things that we do, places we visit, pleasant and negative events that we experience, all are a part of the master plan in our lives that determine our destiny. So many lessons to learn if we would only take the time to do so. Events depicted in this effort are authentic and by no means a figment of the authors imagination. They are convincing evidence there is a Guardian for each and every one of us that watches over us and on numerous occasions has led us from harms way. The role that we play during the cycle of life is important for all of us. Consider the numerous lives that we touch as we make our journey and the effect that we have on others. At the early age of seventeen while in the Navy during World War2, he saw combat aboard the USS Louisville during a devastating kamikaze attack that left him shaken to his soul. He firmly believes that without the wisdom he received for his beloved Mother Fidela during early development, he would not have survived those devastating trying times.

Book excerpt: America, still today, for many people throughout the world remains an attraction; instead, for many others, they see America as a beacon of hope from political and religious oppressions to the needs to overcome hunger from their countries poor economic conditions. Nevertheless, "Remembering Yesterday," talks about a timid little immigrant boy named Gregorio; his wonderful protective mother; his working, dedicated, and honest father, who was forced to immigrate to six different countries before coming to America, looking for work so his family could survive; and his two siblings: Andrea, the daring one; and Matteo, the thick headed one. The book opens up with the main character Gregorio Di Nardo as an adult teaching English as a Second Language at a local Community College, to immigrant adult students. the author then moves to narrate more about the main character as a little boy growing up in his little village. The story continues with some surprising and unexpected information: Gregorio and his family would be leaving their little town for America. The news upsets the little boy for abandoning his present existence, his friends, the piazza, and his small house; but his mother and siblings however, were happy as they could be to leave the poor conditions behind and embrace new ones knowing they were starting from nothing. The narration picks up with a long dangerous journey to America: first on a train, then on transatlantic boat named "Vulcania", and finally growing up to adulthood in the city of Newark with no language, no friends, no one to cling to except his parents and two siblings. The family settles in the city of Newark, where they lived and experienced Newark reality at its best and safest period; as well as its downfall. It is here where they first experienced one of the many gloomy embarrassments, despondent, sour moments of racism and hardships. The desperate souls came with nothing except their clothes, a strong will to work and produce; and to overcome the hunger they left behind due to poor economic conditions they were subjected to.

Book excerpt: The purpose of this book of poetry is that while I was in the military, I read poems by the then poet laureate of the United States. I used him as my mentor. These poems reflect the inside of me; sometimes lonely, sometimes in love, but mostly wondering what life is all about, which I am sure we all wonder. Book excerpt: In this heart-pounding mystery, a woman is found dead—but in a society where only the privileged have memories longer than a day, the chances of solving the crime seem futile. Imagine a world in which classes are divided not by wealth or religion but by how much each group can remember. Monos, the majority, have only one day's worth of memory; elite Duos have two. In this stratified society, where Monos are excluded from holding high office and demanding jobs, Claire and Mark are a rare mixed marriage. Clare is a conscientious Mono housewife, Mark a novelist-turned-politician Duo on the rise. They are a shining example of a new vision of tolerance and equality-until... A beautiful woman is found dead, her body dumped in England's River Cam. The woman is Mark's mistress, and he is the prime suspect in her murder. The detective investigating the case has secrets of his own. So did the victim. And when both the investigator's and the suspect's memories are constantly erased -- how can anyone learn the truth? Told from four different perspectives, that of Mark, Claire, the detective on the case, and the victim -- Felicia Yap's staggeringly inventive debut leads us on a race against an ever-resetting clock to find the killer. With the science-fiction world-building of Philip K. Dick and the twisted ingenuity of Memento, Yesterday is a thriller you'll never forget.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book breaks frontiers. It deals with human beings and their intrinsic relationship with time in the space of a week. Each day is different from another. There is nothing human without days. It is said that life is a single day, but one day is the measure of time in the rhythm of human life. Days, weeks, months, years, and decades are human organizations of time; the universe has no days. It is human beings who are time. We are literally the days of the week repeatedly until the week ends. In this book, there is a continuous search for the days’ identities, for their specific characteristics, for the way they open up to our consciousness in each of its parts. The book identifies the particular characteristics of each day and the specific relationship of human beings with time.

To describe to you all, what I see of the world in technicolour. Through poetry and song. I touch on subjects from Heaven to Hell and everything in between. It tackles the tough topics, like suicide and Drugs. Like money and God. Also, mental health and Love. All the poems and songs have strong messages but the songs are not complete without music. I am singer songwriter, not a musician. I am 58, and I have been writing for over 30 years. I know I can make a difference. The best is yet to come.

Book excerpt: Nat doesn’t know who she is or why she’s in Olaiya. This community in Territorial California seems pleasant enough, but the terrifying dreams she has every night tell a different story. Nat can’t remember anything about her life before a few days ago, although that’s more than other unit brothers seem to recall. She’s also figuring out that she has to be careful what she says—careless words can end with people going missing. Nat longs to leave this orderly but dangerous place. Is escape even possible? She’s becoming more aware, yet most of her time is wasted pretending to be clueless and trying to avoid the guards’ attention. The more alive she feels, the harder it is to blend in. Hoping to find answers about the community and her own lost memories, Nat joins a secret group called the Rebs. Still, Nat has difficulty knowing who in Building 8 is safe, and even the Rebs she trusts the most seem unwilling to tell her anything about her past. The cruel Olaiya Masters are trying to figure out who’s making noise at night and causing disruptions during the day, searching for the answer to one question. It’s the same question Nat is asking. Who is awake in Oliaya?
