This book was released on 2024-06-05 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is intended to serve as a technology reference for graduate students, researchers, and engineers on various microwave engineering subjects. The chapters encompass a wide range of topics in microwave engineering from its core science for developers to state-of-the-art applications for its users. Besides the fundamental technology-related chapters, such as advanced analysis techniques of microstrip structures using the finite difference time domain in Julia and tunable microwave filter designs, there are chapters covering implementations of microwave technology in different applications such as medical imaging, medical heating, food drying, and remote sensing for radio astronomy. The chapters are written based on a collection of theses, research papers, and case analyses by field experts and academicians. The title of the book reflects that each chapter elaborates on a recent advancement or a brand-new application of microwave engineering.

This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 639 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume contains the lectures given at the NATO Advanced Study Institute "The Study of Fast Processes and Labile Species in Chemistry and Molecular Biology Using Ionising Radiation" held in Capri, Italy, September 7-l8th 1981. The aim of the Institute was to summarise the present position of the use of pulsed ionising radiation in chemical and biological chemical research. For background an outline of the basic radiation chemistry and physics involved and descriptions of techniques and equipment in current use was presented. It was followed by comprehensive coverage of the state of this research to date in various areas of chemistry and biological chemistry. It was hoped to demonstrate to researchers not directly involved with ionising radiation how this technique is now at a stage in its development where it can have wider applications in various branches of chemistry and biology. The fifty participants did indeed form a wide spectrum of scientific interest covering inorganic, physical and organic chemistry, molecular physics, molecular biology, radiobiology and bacteriology. They also represented a wide variety of countries viz. Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, India, Italy, Poland, Turkey, U.S.A., U.K. and Yugoslavia.

Book Synopsis Microwave Propagation in Ferrimagnetics by : M. S. Sodha
Download or read book Microwave Propagation in Ferrimagnetics written by M. S. Sodha and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-11-21 with total page 418 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: During the last three decades, interest in the field of interaction of microwaves with ferrimagnetics has steadily increased. Investigations in tlris field have led to the development of a number of devices used for a variety of applications. The initial emphasis of the investigators was on the microwave behavior of ferrimagnetics placed in cavities and metallic waveguides and associated devices. This work has been presented in various books, monographs, and reviews written during the sixties. In recent years, interest in microwave propagation in ferrimagnetics has shifted from loaded waveguides to relatively new areas, e. g. , magnetostatic and magnetoelastic waves in layered structures, microwave propagation in ferrimagnetic strip lines and microstrips, etc. Such investigations are important from the viewpoint of devices such as delay lines, filters, convolvers, guided wave amplifiers, striplines, and microstrip phase shif ters, circulators, edge guided mode isolators, etc. As such, we feit the need for a text (meant for graduate students starting work in these areas as weil as practicing electrical engineers and applied physicists) which presents a coherent account of the various aspects of propagation of microwaves (electromagnetic as weil as magnetoelastic) in biased ferrimagnetics and discusses the relatively recent developments in the theory and operation of the aforementioned devices, and this book is the result. A biased ferrimagnetic is, in the mathematical sense, a complicated medium, electromagnetically as weil as elastically.
