This book was released on 2013-01-15 with total page 101 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Trans-Himalayan Buddhism is not simply a cultural spectacle across spaces north and south, east and west of the Himalayas. It is also a subject of interactive behaviour among Buddhist communities who have been dispersed over the Kunlun mountains or the Kashgar markets that have been the meeting points of pilgrims, traders, merchants, envoys, military men, artists and scholar travelers. The northern reach of Buddhism is incomprehensible without reflections on shared histories and common concerns which the book tries to focus on. The ambit of Buddhist studies reflects not only the spiritual and philosophical domain of Buddhism but also a symbiotic relationship between the monastic establishment and protectors of cultural tradition-a trend that one sees in the context of Buddhist revivalist projects in Mongolia and Buryatia. The presence of a Buddhist order in the political realm has revived intellectual debates about the relationship between spiritual and temporal authority. The interface between South Asian and South East Buddhism on the one hand and Central Asian Buddhism on the other is also delicately balanced in Buddhist cultural discourse. The relevance of Buddhism in a globalized world has also given a new direction to the realm of Buddhist studies. This book takes into account the competing discourses of preservation and revival of Buddhism in the trans-Himalayan sector. It not only deals with the cultural ethos that Buddhism represents in this region but also the diverse Buddhist traditions that are strongly entrenched despite colonial intervention. Juxtaposed to the aesthetic variant is the extremely sensitive response of the Buddhist communities in India and Asiatic Russia centred round the issue of displacement. It is this issue of duality of common traditions and fractured identities that has been dealt with in the present volume.

Book excerpt: Why are prominent doctors, quantum physicists, and researchers all over the world interested in the seemingly chance encounter that Dr. Eric Pearl had with one of his patients? What was it about that encounter that would not only radically accelerate the trajectory of his life, but ultimately affect the lives of millions . . . and will most likely profoundly affect your life as well? What is this phenomenon? In his international bestseller, The Reconnection: Heal Others, Heal Yourself, Dr. Pearl taught readers how to access and tap into a comprehensive spectrum of energy, light, and information previously inaccessible to anyone, anywhere. In doing so, he allowed us to entirely transcend complex energy-healing "techniques" and bring about dramatic, often instantaneous, lifelong healings and life transformations! Since then, the world has clamored for Eric’s second book. His response? When I have something else to say. Today Dr. Pearl, in collaboration with Frederick Ponzlov, indeed has something else to say. You might have to reconsider everything you’ve read up until now about healing, consciousness, and our four-dimensional existence here on Earth. As guided by the spirit of Solomon, an extradimensional intelligence that speaks through Frederick, experience firsthand the insights imparted during the evolution of this unique transmodality known today as Reconnective Healing. Now you can discover these insights and apply them to your life—insights that have revolutionized the healing world and given us the key to access the immense power that we each have within our lives. This book was released on 2023-11-11 with total page 173 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The balance of the world needs to be restored by reactivating the heart - the world has reached a critical state of lovelessness. Time is important if we are to save this civilization from annihilation. A worldwide catastrophe could occur due to our lack of awareness of the seriousness of the imbalance resulting from the universal absence of caring. It has become desperately important for all of us to do whatever we can, to help to bring about a change, but we must do it first on ourselves. Both individually and in groups we can all cooperate to bring about the necessary changes, so we need to scrutinize the many different areas of activity in which people are involved, as well as all our different relationships. This survey can show clearly where the "heart" has been omitted and the "head" has become too dominant in every area of life as we experience it now. This book is a cry for help to all those who are truly dedicated to service, whether at the individual level or on a more widespread scale. It will take the commitment of as many willing people as possible to reverse the present trend toward destruction by re-instating the heart and with that re-connecting the heart energy.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Parents whose adult children have cut off contact wonder: How did this happen? Where did I go wrong? What happened to my loving child? Over time, holidays, birthdays, and even the birth of grandchildren may pass in silence. Anguish may turn into anger. While time, in and of itself, does not necessarily heal, actions do, and while every estrangement includes situation-specific variables, there are practical, effective, and universal techniques for understanding and healing these not-uncommon breaches. Psychotherapist Tina Gilbertson has developed these techniques and tools over years of face-to-face and online work with parents, who have found her strategies transformative and even life-changing. Gilbertson cuts through the blame, shame, and guilt on both sides of the broken relationship. Parents will feel heard and understood but also challenged — and guided — to reclaim their role as"tone setter" and grow psychologically. Exercises, examples, and sample scripts empower parents who have felt powerless. Gilbertson shows that reconciliation is a step-by-step process, but the effort is well worth it. It is never too late to renew relations and experience better-than-ever bonds.

Book excerpt: There's no doubt about it: every conflict in every relationship involves two people with two different perceptions, and every solution requires two partners to arrive at a single shared perception. You can't repair a damaged relationship by yourself, and you can't change your partner into someone else. Does that mean the situation is hopeless? Absolutely not! In Reconnecting, Dr. Joseph Luciani, the celebrated author of the renowned Self-Coaching series, introduces a proven, practical method you can follow to encourage your less-than-cooperative partner to join you in a meaningful healing process, even if you have to take the first steps on your own. Dr. Luciani begins by helping you evaluate your own level of insecurity and, using his Self-Talk technique, do something to improve it. He shows you how to use Self-Talk to become a catalyst for change in your relationship by eliminating your contribution to the problem. You'll identify your own personality patterns and use Self-Talk to let go of personal baggage, stop listening to what hurts you, and see the problem as a whole. Next, you'll learn how to apply Catalytic Self-Coaching to your relationship. You'll find out what it means to create a relationship vacuum, and you'll start working with Self + Self = Us Portraits. You'll also discover how to risk trusting each other and to begin coaching each other away from destructive habits and toward a more truthful and loving relationship. This eye-opening and life-changing guide offers constant support on your journey toward a more loving and rewarding relationship. You'll find plenty of prescriptive advice to help you make sense of your own personality patterns and cope with the anxiety and depression that often accompany difficult relationships. Dr. Luciani's success stories of patients who have changed their lives will help you realize that you're not alone and there is hope. Complete with a valuable discussion of the essential principles of successful relationships and how to put them into action every day, Reconnecting is the resource you need to break free of destructive habits and create a new, more secure relationship that brings you the companionship, commitment, trust, and true love you need.

Book excerpt: Renowned authority on science and philosophy Dr. Ervin Laszlo explores the implications of the new quantum sciences to move beyond the of limits of reality as we know it—and find our way again in our “in-formed,” purposively evolving universe. Reconnecting to the Source is a powerful new book on the science of spiritual experience by Dr. Ervin Laszlo. A well-known figure in the fields of new science, consciousness, and spirituality, Dr. Laszlo has inspired some of today’s most important figures in science and philosophy. In Reconnecting to the Source he unpacks the science behind spiritual experience, investigating the ways in which we can access realms of experience beyond the everyday. It is in these moments, when our conscious minds are in contact or perhaps even overridden by our unconscious selves, that we can explore the depths of spiritual meaning. In addition to a foreword by Deepak Chopra, the book includes new, never before published contributions from a long list of well-known writers and public figures—including Jane Goodall, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Zhi-Gang Sha and many more. Each contributor has written about a unique spiritual experience of their own, sharing moments in their lives that are outside of the boundaries of the usual and reflecting on the importance of these moments. This revolutionary and powerful book will challenge you to reconsider the boundaries of our own experience and change how we look at the world around us. It is a unique, never before available resource for people who want to know how they can consciously align with the forces and “attractors” that governs the universe, and brought us, living, conscious people on the scene in the great processes of evolution that unfold here on Earth.

Book excerpt: The rapid changes taking place in the structure and governance of national and regional agri-food markets in developing countries seriously affect the ability of agriculture, especially small-scale agriculture, to contribute to economic growth and sustainable development. Reconnecting Markets is the second volume of case examples from the Regoverning Markets programme (2005-2008). It focuses on the keys to inclusion of small-scale farmers and rural SMEs into dynamic national and regional markets. The cases document specific arrangements that appear to have played a positive role in supporting greater inclusion, such as public policies and business initiatives, collective action by farmers and support from development agencies.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Although the contributors to this book do not belong to one particular ‘school’ of linguistic theory, they all share an interest in the external functions of language in society and in the relationship between these functions and internal linguistic phenomena. In this sense they all take a functional approach to grammatical issues. Apart from this common starting-point, the contributions share the aim of demonstrating the non-autonomous nature of morphology and syntax, and the inadequacy of linguistic models which deal with syntax, morphology and lexicon in separate, independent components. The recurrent theme throughout the book is the inseparability of lexis and morphosyntax, of structure and function, of grammar and society. The third and more specific common thread is case, which in some contributions is adduced to illustrate the more general point of the link between word form on the one hand and clausal and textual relations on the other hand, while in other papers it is at the centre of the discussion. The interest of the proposed volume consists in the fact that it brings together the views of leading scholars in functional linguistics of various ‘denominations’ on the place of morphosyntax in linguistic theory. The book provides convincing argumentation against a modular theory with autonomous levels (the dominant framework in mainstream 20th century linguistics) and is a plea for further research into the connections between the lexicogrammar and the linguistic and extralinguistic context.
