Book Synopsis Refusing to Wait for Heaven by : Steve Baney, M. Div.
Download or read book Refusing to Wait for Heaven written by Steve Baney, M. Div. and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2015-05-19 with total page 129 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Do I have to wait for heaven to receive blessings from Jesus? What if my life needs blessings right now? What did Jesus mean when he said he makes all things new? What if I refuse to wait? This book will change your entire perspective on life, salvation, and heaven. We need newness. Find it through this study of God's Word. This is salvation. This is good news. This is what it means to be made all new. Too many religious leaders and church members have offered little more than new information. What people crave has much less to do with information and much more to do with transformation. What difference does it make? People who are frustrated with their life situation - hurt by wounds, and mourning loss - are craving something new. They're craving change, not information. The information about finding mercy in Jesus Christ is good news for me. But it's incomplete. I also want my life to be new. This is why I've decided that I'm Refusing to Wait for Heaven. Includes reflection questions.

Book Synopsis Risking Leadership: Training Timothy for today’s church by : Steve Baney, M. Div.
Download or read book Risking Leadership: Training Timothy for today’s church written by Steve Baney, M. Div. and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2014-12 with total page 68 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Leadership is no simple task. To lead in a godly way involves a considerable amount of risk. Paul understood this truth when the Holy Spirit inspired him to write his first letter to his disciple, Timothy. By studying Timothy's ministry (as recorded in Acts) and the instruction he received from Paul, we have much to learn about discipleship and ministry leadership. Risking Leadership is designed as a self-guided study and/or a group study, taking the reader step-by-step through the entire letter of 1 Timothy, with special emphasis given to application to today's life and ministry leadership. It begins with a brief biography of Timothy, based upon Acts and other biblical texts that describe him. This study is essential for effectiveness in the way you follow and serve Jesus Christ. "I have sent to you Timothy, my son whom I love, who is faithful in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which agrees with what I teach everywhere in every church" (1 Corinthians 4:17 NIV).

Book Synopsis Political Pamphlets by : George Saintsbury
Download or read book Political Pamphlets written by George Saintsbury and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 1923 with total page 788 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Political Pamphlets By George Saintsbury It is sometimes thought, and very often said, that political writing, after its special day is done, becomes more dead than any other kind of literature, or even journalism. I do not know whether my own judgment is perverted by the fact of a special devotion to the business, but it certainly seems to me that both the thought and the saying are mistakes. Indeed, a rough-and-ready refutation of them is supplied by the fact that, in no few cases, political pieces have entered into the generally admitted stock of the best literary things. If they are little read, can we honestly say that other things in the same rank are read much more? And is there not the further plea, by no means contradictory, nor even merely alternative, that the best examples of them are, as a rule, merged in huge collected 'Works, ' or, in the case of authors who have not attained to that dignity, simply inaccessible to the general? At any rate my publishers have consented to let me try the experiment of gathering certain famous things of the sort in this volume, and the public must decide. We are delighted to publish this classic book as part of our extensive Classic Library collection. Many of the books in our collection have been out of print for decades, and therefore have not been accessible to the general public. The aim of our publishing program is to facilitate rapid access to this vast reservoir literature, and our view is that this is a significant literary work, which deserves to be brought back into print after many decades. The contents of the vast majority of titles in the Classic Library have been scanned from the original works. To ensure a high quality product, each title has been meticulously hand curated by our staff. Our philosophy has been guided by a desire to provide the reader with a book that is as close as possible to ownership of the original work. We hope that you will enjoy this wonderful classic work, and that for you it becomes an enriching experience.
