With this column the author has been connected for more than twenty years as contributor or editor-in-charge. Some of these prayers have gone around the world and come back in British, South African, Indian and Australian publications. Some have been widely used in public worship. About fifty were included in "Closet and Altar," a book published by The Congregationalist in 1899, and long out of print. A selection for a single month appeared under the same title and is still on sale by The Pilgrim Press. From all these books and papers it seems time to call these wandering children home.
