The wise endure the pain every day. The tile Yesterday My Pain Today My Poem Tomorrow My Praise is about painful experiences that we have that God turns to our poems today then praise tomorrow. We look back and see situations that God saved us and realized that our pain becomes our poem. When we are victorious after overcoming the painful situation we praise God for these testimonies. Pain if not attended to can lead to sorrow, shedding of tears that lead to depression and other diseases, ultimately death. It's important to pray about our pain. James 5:13 "Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms." King David prayed when he was in pain. In Psalm 51 he repents of his sin while in pain. Pain should be our teacher, not our tormentor. When a woman is in child labor she travails in agony knowing that she will have a child to carry in her arms. Recently I saw a two-month-old baby. The mother had a very difficult pregnancy. I encouraged her from when she was 5 months pregnant until she gave birth. She was sick during the pregnancy and God granted her the strength to carry the baby to full term. Today she forgot of all the sickness she had while pregnant and during childbirth. Our trials as Christians will come to an end when LORD Jesus Christ takes our souls. We will shed no more tears in heaven. In this world, we shed tears of sorrow. When a sports person exercise there is muscle pain but he/she knows that his/her muscles are being strengthened. Maybe you are in pain of some sort, I encourage you to tell heavenly Father about it. Our Savior is with us. So why not take time to pray. .

As I reflected: My eyes were suddenly drawn to a mountain. I never really took notice of before: Florence Grant knows that no matter how dark our nights, God speaks to us through our pain and inspires us, no matter our age, the place, or time in our lives. All we have to do is listen to that still, small voice inside. In a debut compilation of inspirational poems, Grant shares reflections intended to lift up anyone enduring pain or sleepless nights, feeling down or struggling to find their way, or seeking new love or lost love. Grant explores diverse topics such as the rare beauty found in nature, the memories of yesteryear, the puzzle of life, membership on heaven’s roll, the day Simon met Jesus, and much more that includes touching lyrical messages for discouraged pastors and praying parents. Pain Like a Mountain is a volume of inspirational poems that leads believers down a spiritual path into one woman’s heart as she reflects on life, death, love, and faith.

This book contains inspirational poetry for those touched by physical and emotional pain or suffering. Some excerpts: Though briars leave their mark on you They painfully succeed In driving you to seek the One Wholl heal you when you bleed. And so if I at first recoil And from Your cup retreat, I ask that You remind me, Lord, The aftertaste is sweet. The pain in my life is no detour, But part of His plan from the start. Its no disadvantage that I must endure My platformdirect from His heart. You have a bright tomorrow, Though yesterday left wounds. It is these very scars Hell use To grow His choicest blooms. But my ways are not Gods ways, And He knows best, you see, The sweetest song I ever sang Birthed through the pain in me. Ones thoughts directly affect ones emotions and actions. Therefore, the author includes the truth of Scripture to replace the lies and distortions of the enemy.

These tales of a neo-romantics spiritual quest take the reader on a rollercoaster of spiritual highs and carnal depths presented in a variety of forms ranging from traditional sonnets to urban verse. After years of musical and spoken word performances throughout themidwest, Asale Lara unleashes his first book of poetry, Praise, Pain & Lust. Asales bicultural heritage and Midwestern upbringing, as well as the various cultures surrounding him make themselves evident in this eclectic yet cohesive volume of work demonstrating enormous command of the English language while occasionally dipping into Spanglish. The themes of romance, spirituality, and the heartache often associated with both provide a truly universal scope making Asale Lara Americas dark poet for the twenty-first century.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hard times come for all in life, with no real explanation. When we walk through suffering, it has the potential to devastate and destroy, or to be the gateway to gratitude and joy. Elisabeth Elliot was no stranger to suffering. Her first husband, Jim, was murdered by the Waoroni people in Ecuador moments after he arrived in hopes of sharing the gospel. Her second husband was lost to cancer. Yet, it was in her deepest suffering that she learned the deepest lessons about God. Why doesn’t God do something about suffering? He has, He did, He is, and He will. Suffering and love are inexplicably linked, as God’s love for His people is evidenced in His sending Jesus to carry our sins, griefs, and sufferings on the cross, sacrificially taking what was not His on Himself so that we would not be required to carry it. He has walked the ultimate path of suffering, and He has won victory on our behalf. This truth led Elisabeth to say, “Whatever is in the cup that God is offering to me, whether it be pain and sorrow and suffering and grief along with the many more joys, I’m willing to take it because I trust Him.” Because suffering is never for nothing.

Book excerpt: When troubles arise the first thing we do is pray. We ask the Lord to quickly relieve the pain and suffering of the situation. But how often do we send up prayers of praise and thanksgiving? Let Amy Santi Bulls forty-five poems in this collection lead you on the path to showing the Lord how grateful you are for all He has done in your life. As in her other books, Believe and My Inner Strength, each poem in A Joyful Noise has five Bible verses that coincide with the meaning of the poem. These verses are listed in the Reference section following the poetry and show that praise and thanksgiving were offered to the Lord throughout time. So now, do you have a reason to be thankful? Do you have answered prayers? Then give the Lord the praises He deserves and let Amys poetry guide you along the way.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the harsh realities of physical and emotional pain to the healing hand of God, Poetry of Pain, Passion, Power, and Praise is the collection of powerful, authentic poetry by Angie Michelle James that explores four powerful emotions, each of which starts with the letter “P” and crystallizes the role each plays in shaping our lives. At once dramatic and stirringly sensitive, these poems come together to guide readers through an emotional journey that is designed to bring about positive change. Through meditations on pain, passion, power, and praise, the poems create a path that can also serve as a vital process for healing. The book examines the experience of pain; the passion that is vital to change that pain; the power that any individual must find to change; and, finally, the praise that accompanies the feels of gratitude for positive change. In the Pain section, “Silent Screams” exposes the social epidemic of child abuse, which often goes unheard, as a young girl repeatedly endures assaults at the hands of men who are disturbingly close to home. In the Passion segment, the poem entitled “What drives your passion?” mines the motivations that live within each of us, whether we are driven by power, fame, or winning. “I didn't give up,” a poem within the Power section of the book, lists the fierce obstacles that stand in the narrator's way, which include epilepsy, poverty, and unemployment, offering inspiration to others who may face circumstances that seem impossible to overcome. And in the deeply spiritual Praise portion of the book, the rousing poem, “From Suicide to Success,” reveals the power of God to transform a near tragedy into a meaningful life. Through rhyming verse that guides readers through a broad spectrum of the emotionally complex human experience, these raw, yet redemptive poems offer healing, insight, and catharsis for both young adults and adults who are looking for a brighter way.
