Book Synopsis PHYSICAL AND THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF POTASSIUM. by :
Download or read book PHYSICAL AND THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF POTASSIUM. written by and published by . This book was released on 1966 with total page 72 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This report is an up-to-date compilation of potassium physical and thermodynamic properties. Data for the solid phase is presented, where available, over a temperature range from 0 F to the melting point. Liquid and vapor physical properties are tabulated, in most cases, from the melting point to 2400 F. The thermodynamic compilation extends from 740 F to 2340 F and includes superheated vapor properties evaluated at pressures down to 0.1 psia. These properties are presented both on a table and on a Mollier diagram. Listed properties include density, viscosity, surface tension, electrical resistivity, thermal conductivity, specific heat, vapor pressure, latent heats of fusion and vaporization, enthalpy, entropy, acoustic velocity, critical pressure and temperature, thermal neutron absorption and activation cross sections, ionization potential, and relative magnetic susceptibility.

Book Synopsis The Thermodynamic Properties of Potassium-antimony Compounds by : G. F. Voronin
Download or read book The Thermodynamic Properties of Potassium-antimony Compounds written by G. F. Voronin and published by . This book was released on 1969 with total page 11 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The vapor pressure of potassium over solid melts of potassium in antimony was measured depending on concentration and temperature, and the thermodynamic functions of four intermetallic compounds were calculated (K3Sb, K5Sb4, KSb, KSb2). Measurements were made with the help of a surface ionization detector. Five phase regions were observed and equations were calculated for the saturated vapor pressure of potassium in each of these regions. The heat of vaporization for potassium at 400 degress K was calculated -- 20.9 plus or minus 0.1 kcal/gm times atom. Thermodynamic potentials and heats of formation were calculated.

Download or read book HIGH-TEMPERATURE PROPERTIES OF POTASSIUM. written by C. T. EWING and published by . This book was released on 1965 with total page 87 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A reporting of the experimental results for potassium (saturation and superheat properties of the vapor, density and specific heat of the liquid) is presented together with a thermodynamic treatment of the data. Two equations of state are advanced, one virial and one quasi-chemical; and additional saturation and superheat properties of the vapor are derived from these equations. Either of two paths can be used in deriving absolute thermodynamic properties, the monomeric gas path or the liquid path; but results obtained by the former procedure are believed to be more accurate. Enthalpy, entropy, specific volume, specific heat, and compositional information (weight fraction of dimer, weight fraction of tetramer, and average molecular weight) are tabulated for some 800 selected vapor states in the temperature range from 1400 to 2525 F and in the pressure range from 0.2 to 35 atm.
