This book was released on 2004 with total page 270 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book actually celebrates the integration of motivational theories, success theories, and wisdom/understanding theories. It is a step-by-step approach on how to start and manage your business, how to plan and budget for your family, and how to become successful as a person. The last chapter contains quotes created by the author that cover all spectrums of life. The book is meant to help you upgrade yourself, upgrade family resources, and upgrade your business. The work is very encouraging and uplifting. It gives insight into problem-solving resources that actually exist, but have been overlooked or taken for granted. It did more than tell one to mow the lawn, for example, without giving the resources like lawn mower or grass cutter to do the job. It shows one how to develop enough personal power and eliminate self-defeating methods of growth and doing business. The fine analysis of the spiritual and the natural settings will compel you to recharge your self-confidence, and boost up your achievement level. Furthermore, this book persuades you to take a hard look at what "success" really means to you and encourages you to motivate your efforts toward reaching a realistic goal. You will develop new strategies for "success", build an unimaginable level of confidence, and elevate your problem-solving and decision-making skills. You will learn how to shape your management style to fit a particular problem that you want to solve, and not basing your approach on some sort of assumed or speculative circumstances. As a matter of fact, the best in you will come out and manifests itself by you new improvements, new ways of thinking, and new ways of doing things. More importantly, the book reminds you, through series of analogical paradigms, that success without wisdom from God in your life is like a water tank with an invisible leak. When you wake up in the morning, the water in your tank is gone and you cannot tell how or why.

Book excerpt: The hospitality sector is facing increasing competition and complexity over recent decades in its development towards a global industry. The strategic response to this is still that hospitality companies try to grow outside their traditional territories and domestic markets, while the expansion patterns and M&A activities of international hotel and restaurant chains reflect this phenomenon. Yet, interestingly, the strategies, concepts, and methods of internationalization as well as the managerial and organizational challenges and impacts of globalizing the hospitality business are under-researched in this industry. While the mainstream research on international management offers an abundance of information and knowledge on topics, players, trends, concepts, frameworks, or methodologies, its ability to produce viable insights for the hospitality industry is limited, as the mainstream research is taking place outside of the service sector. Specific research directions and related cases like the international dimensions of strategy, organization, marketing, sales, staffing, control, culture, and others to the hospitality industry are rarely identifiable so far. The core rationale of this book is therefore to present newest insights from research and industry in the field of international hospitality, drawing together recent scientific knowledge and state-of-the-art expertise to suggest directions for future work. It is designed to raise awareness on the international factors influencing the strategy and performance of hospitality organizations, while analyzing and discussing the present and future challenges for hospitality firms going or being international. This book will provide a comprehensive overview and deeper understanding of trends and issues to researchers, practitioners, and students by showing how to master current and future challenges when entering and competing in the global hospitality industry.

Book excerpt: Seminar paper from the year 2009 in the subject Business economics - Personnel and Organisation, grade: 2,3, University of Applied Sciences Essen, course: International Human Resource Management, language: English, abstract: 1. Introduction Nowadays with globalization human resources are becoming more and more important, less in the sense of their "performing activities " (Gutenberg 1979) but rather in that of "dispositive activities" focussing on inventiveness, creativity and motivation. Most problems in a corporation don't originate from technical but from communicative causes. Globalisation implies changes in corporation structures all over the world. Only active and fully motivated personnel can meet the challenges of mergers, hostile takeovers, acquisitions and changes of corporate structure due to new technologies. These changes require a basic improvement of corporate communication. The aim of internal communication is to enable employees to see constant changes as an opportunity. Communication ought to be a continuous process. To begin with, introductory explanations of human resource management and communication will be given. General conditions of successful communication will be described. 2. Internal communication 2.1. Human resource management explained Human resource management consists in influencing the behaviour of subordinate employees. Human resource management must be aware of the fact that the human beings that are to be guided are no mere objects but personalities with ideas, moral concepts and interests on their own.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book comprehensively describes social responsibility and sustainable development, with contributions from scientists and representatives from industry working in the field. The papers are innovative, cross-cutting and many share practice-based experiences, some of which may be replicable elsewhere. Prepared by the Inter-University Sustainable Development Research Programme (IUSDRP) and the World Sustainable Development Research and Transfer Centre (WSD-RTC), it reiterates the current need to promote social responsibility. Social responsibility and sustainable development are two different concepts, whose integration over the years has led to significant advances in the way enterprises see and perceive their operations. It is not only about policies or steps taken to meet legal requirements, but is also about social equality and environmental accountability, also bearing in mind the links with eco-efficiency, innovation, and the health and wellbeing of workers. According to ISO 26000, social responsibility is the responsibility of an organisation for the impacts of its decisions and activities on society and the environment, through transparent and ethical behaviour that: a) contributes to sustainable development, including health and the welfare of society b) takes into account the expectations of stakeholders c) is in compliance with applicable law and consistent with international norms of behaviour d) is integrated throughout the organisation and practised in its relationships. But even though the relations between social responsibility and sustainability are strong, it is still necessary to encourage organisations to adhere to, or at least follow the principles of sustainable development in their operations, giving something back to the community. As such, there is a need for a better understanding of how social responsibility is related to sustainable development, and of the identification of processes, methods and tools that may help the integration of these two important elements. There is also a real need to showcase successful examples of how to structure behaviour and institutional practice in line with the sustainability challenges we face today.
