Pressure points for improving Eyesight Conclusion Author Bio Introduction Being very interested in alternative medicine forms like Ayurveda and being taught yoga as a part of our Academic curriculum, in our student days, I soon began to understand why the ancients in the East considered yoga to be an integral part of their lives. This book is going to introduce you to some of the more common ancient natural healing traditions practiced in the Indian subcontinent since ancient times. I was talking to an American audience about alternative Indian medicine, when I spoke about Ayurveda and yoga. A friend immediately said, “But that is religious, and is based on Hindu practices.” I would like to clear up this point once and for all. These practices are definitely not based to people belonging to one religion. Besides, the people who wrote these exercises and rules for right and proper living, and practiced them millenniums ago were Aryans and they gave this knowledge in their religious and spiritual books to the people of India who were practicing Hinduism. Practicing Hinduism? What do I mean by that? Consider Hinduism at that time to be a way of life, practicing nonviolence and following the wise teachings of the ancient ones. It is now a full-fledged religion, incorporating those same beliefs, traditions, and way of life in their manner of living and being. The ancient knowledge of those wise ones are now being practiced, as set down in the Vedas and the Puranas. I am definitely not a Hindu, but since childhood, I and my Hindu, Christian, Mussalman, Buddhist, Sikh and Jain Friends did all these yogic exercises every morning, during school assembly, and we never believed them to be part of a religious tradition belonging exclusively to the Hindus. Our teachers were sensible enough not to let even an inkling of this controversial idea blossom in our infantile, suspicious and susceptible minds, because that would mean that 17% of the students would immediately have their parents yelling “keep religion out of academics. This is unacceptable. ” This is an extremely touchy subject in the East. And because we considered these exercises to be part of PT, 15 minutes of this healthy workout kept us healthy and happy throughout our childhoods and youth. We never knew that they were yogic exercises! According to us, we were keeping healthy, in a natural manner. We definitely did not chant Hindu hymns while doing these exercises. That in itself would be anathema Maranatha to anybody not a Hindu, including I. So the idea that this universal healing tradition is limited to just one peoples, is definitely wrong, and it has been started by some lazy minded people, who would rather find excuses not to do a thing rather than work out. So here am I –not a Hindu!- telling all my friends all over the globe how they can keep healthy, through different natural remedy practices, which have been in vogue for centuries in the Indian subcontinent. These practices are going to include oil pulling, which is getting to be extremely popular in the West today, and also water therapy. All this information was taken by me from an experienced Ayurvedic doctor, so that all the information that is being given to you has been time tested and has been recommended by him. But before that, you would want to know a little bit more about the terms, which I am going to be using in this book.

Book excerpt: Using coconut, sesame, and other oils to heal chronic conditions, strengthen the immune system, and prevent illness • Details the process of oil pulling, including when to do it, how long to swish the oil in your mouth, and other oral care techniques that complement it • Explains the health benefits of 10 different cold-pressed oils, including sesame, coconut, and pumpkin seed, allowing you to choose the best oil for your needs • Includes a step-by-step 7-day detox plan and information on additional detox techniques that enhance the benefits of oil pulling Oil pulling is much more than an oral cleansing method. Originating in the ancient healing systems of Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine, where it is well known that “disease begins in the mouth,” this simple health practice triggers detoxification and healing throughout the entire body. The mouth and tongue are home to bacteria, fungus, and many toxins from the rest of the body. Oil pulling not only cleanses the mouth and tongue, preventing harmful bacteria and toxins from entering the bloodstream, it also triggers enzyme production in the digestive tract, which in turn activates cleansing processes throughout the entire body. Practiced daily, oil pulling leads to better dental and gum health, a stronger immune system, detoxification of major organs including the intestines, lungs, and liver, and healing from many conditions caused by internal toxins and chronic inflammation. In this practical guide, Birgit Frohn details the simple process of oil pulling, including when to do it, how long to swish the oil in your mouth, and other oral care techniques that complement it, such as tongue scraping. She explains the specific health benefits of 10 different cold-pressed oils that can be used in oil pulling, from traditional sesame oil to vitamin-packed pumpkin seed oil to highly popular coconut oil, allowing you to choose the best oil for your needs. She also reveals the vast number of ailments that can be healed and prevented by regular oil pulling practice, including: • Acne • Allergies • Canker sores • Arthritis • Eczema • Flu and Colds • Sinus infections and Bronchitis • Cavities and Gingivitis • Headaches and Migraines • Constipation • And many more . . . Frohn also explores additional detox techniques that enhance the benefits of oil pulling and concludes with a step-by-step 7-day detox plan for those who want to maximize the effects of oil pulling and accelerate their return to better health.

If you suffer from asthma, diabetes, arthritis, migraine headaches, or any chronic illness, and have not found relief, this book could have the solution you need. All disease starts in the mouth! As incredible as it may seem, most of the chronic and infectious illnesses that trouble our society today are influenced by the healthy of our mouths. Our mouths are a reflection of the health inside our bodies. If you have poor dental health, you are bound to have other health problems. Despite regular brushing and flossing, over 90 percent of the population has some degree of gum disease or tooth decay. Most people aren’t even aware they have existing dental problems. Recent research has demonstrated a direct link between oral health and chronic illness. Simply improving the health of your teeth and gums can cure many chronic problems. More brushing, flossing, and mouthwash isn’t the solution. What will work is Oil Pulling Therapy. Oil pulling is an age-old method of oral cleansing originating from Ayurvedic medicine. It is one of the most powerful, most effective methods of detoxification and healing in natural medicine. In this book, Dr. Fife combines the wisdom of Ayurvedic medicine with modern science. The science behind oil pulling is fully documented with references to medical studies and case histories. Although incredibly powerful, Oil Pulling Therapy is completely safe and simple enough for even a child.

This book was released on 2020-10-27 with total page 180 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Discover the Secrets of Harmonizing Your Vata Dosha! Are you underweight? Do you experience restlessness, anxiety, and trouble focusing? Are you prone to dry skin, joint stiffness, and digestive issues? Do you often feel cold, have trouble sleeping, or struggle with irregular routines? If so, it’s a clear sign that you need to balance your Vata Dosha. Ayurveda, which derives from ancient Vedic scriptures, is a 5,000-year-old medical ideology and philosophy based on the idea that we are all made up of different types of energy. There are three doshas in Ayurveda that describe the dominant state of mind and body—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. While all three are present in everyone, Ayurveda suggests that we each have a dominant dosha that is unwavering from birth and ideally an equal (though often fluctuating) balance between the other two. When doshas are balanced, we are healthy. But when the doshas are out of balance, our well-being is hampered. Each of the doshas has its special strengths and weaknesses, and with a little awareness, you can do a lot to remain healthy and balanced. I’ve made a complete series of these three, one for each. This is Vata; the other two are also available. You can use this series to adjust your lifestyle and routine in a way that supports your constitution. Vata reflects the energy of motion and is therefore always associated with the Wind (and the element of Air). It is the invisible force of movement—composed of Ether and Air. It controls breathing, blinking, contraction of muscle and tissue, pulsation of the heart, and all movements of the cytoplasm and cell membranes. Vata encourages innovation, creativity, and versatility in a balanced way. But it also causes fear and anxiety when out of control. Vata Dosha is the lightest and most innovative of all doshas. When Vata types are out of control, their creative minds and bodies, which are always on their way, will overwhelm themselves with fear and chaos. In this book, we’ll dive deeper into what Vata means, what throws Vata out of balance, and how to identify the Vata Dosha in your environment, in yourself, and in others. With this book, I’m going to share with you everything you need to know in order to balance your Vata Dosha and use it for your overall vitality, joy, and well-being. Inside This Book, You'll: ✔️Explore the intricacies of Vata Dosha and its unique characteristics. ✔️Discover the subdoshas that influence your constitution. ✔️Gain insights into the disorders that arise from Vata imbalance. ✔️Understand the factors that can disturb your Vata harmony. ✔️Learn effective strategies to nurture and stabilize your Vata Dosha. ✔️Embrace a Vata-friendly lifestyle with practical tips and rituals. ✔️Clarify the relationship between Vata Dosha and fasting practices. ✔️Discover the role of warming foods in balancing Vata energy. ✔️Uncover the secrets of a nourishing Vata diet, including preferred tastes. ✔️Identify foods to pacify and avoid for Vata balance. ✔️Master the art of eating for Vata equilibrium. ✔️Indulge in a collection of delicious, Vata-friendly recipes. ✔️Navigate the seasons with a Vata-specific guide. ✔️Embrace yoga poses that promote Vata harmony. ✔️Harness the power of essential herbs for your Vata constitution. ✔️Experience an ideal oil massage ritual to balance Vata energy. Do you often feel lethargic, heavy, and sluggish? Do you struggle with weight gain, congestion, or water retention? Are you prone to depression, complacency, and attachment? Is your skin oily and prone to congestion and dullness? Do you find it difficult to adapt to change and feel resistant to new experiences? If so, it's a clear sign that you need to balance your Kapha Dosha. Each of the doshas has its own special strengths and weaknesses, and with a little awareness, you can do a lot to remain healthy and balanced. I’ve made a complete series of these three, one for each. This is Kapha; the other two are also available. You can use this series to adjust your lifestyle and routine in a way that supports your constitution. In Ayurveda, Kapha is characterized by Earth and Water elements, making it the heaviest and most stable of the three doshas. In the body, Kapha is liable for solidity and all structures, as well as the right volume of body fluids. It regulates the weight, growth, lubrication of the joints and lungs, and the creation of all seven tissues—nutrient fluids, blood, muscles, bones, marrow, and reproductive tissue. Protection is the primary feature of Kapha. Kapha types are calm, rooted, and genuine when they are in harmony. If Kaphas get out of balance, they binge-eat and under-exercise, triggering weight gain and diabetes. Stubbornness and commitment can become a matter for the emotional body. The unbalanced Kapha skin exhibits heavy oiliness, inflammation, cystic acne, blackheads, and large pores. In this book, we'll dive deeper into what Kapha means, what throws Kapha out of balance, and how to identify the Kapha Dosha in your environment, in yourself, and in others. With this book, I'm going to share with you everything you need to know in order to balance Kapha Dosha and use it for your overall vitality, joy, and well-being. Within These Pages, You'll: ✔️Dive deep into the essence of Kapha Dosha and its distinctive qualities. ✔️Explore the various subdoshas that contribute to your constitution. ✔️Uncover the disorders that arise from an imbalanced Kapha. ✔️Gain insights into the factors that can disrupt your Kapha harmony. ✔️Discover effective strategies to nurture and balance your Kapha Dosha. ✔️Embrace a Kapha-balancing lifestyle through practical tips and rituals. ✔️Find clarity on Kapha Dosha about fasting practices. ✔️Learn about foods that pacify Kapha and those to avoid. ✔️Embrace a nourishing Kapha-specific diet, including recommended tastes. ✔️Master the art of eating for Kapha equilibrium. ✔️Delight in a collection of delicious, Kapha-friendly recipes. ✔️Navigate the seasons with a Kapha-specific guide. ✔️Embrace the best yoga poses to balance your Kapha energy. ✔️Harness the power of essential herbs for your Kapha constitution. ✔️Indulge in an ideal oil massage ritual to invigorate Kapha energy. Book excerpt: Because of increasing antibiotic resistance, stronger antibiotics are reserved for serious active infection, paving the way for a greater use of herbal antibiotics. This book helps dentists in implementing safe and effective natural medicine therapies to complement the current practice guidelines. Oral diseases continue to be a major health problem world-wide. Oral health is integral to general well-being and relates to the quality-of-life that extends beyond the functions of the craniofacial complex. The standard Western medicine has had only limited success in the prevention of periodontal disease and in the treatment of a variety of oral diseases. The dentist needs to be more informed regarding the use, safety and effectiveness of the various traditional medicines and over-the-counter products. Herbal extracts have been used in dentistry for reducing inflammation, as antimicrobial plaque agents, for preventing release of histamine and as antiseptics, antioxidants, antimicrobials, antifungals, antibacterials, antivirals and analgesics. They also aid in healing and are effective in controlling microbial plaque in gingivitis and periodontitis and thereby improving immunity. The 26 chapters in this unique book explore all the measures to utilize the natural oral care obtained from plants, animals and mineral drugs for dental care.

Book excerpt: Oil Pulling for Cleanse - The Oil Pulling Cleanse Handbook for Beginners Simply put, oil pulling is the process of swishing one of many different types of vegetable oil around in your mouth in order to draw the toxins out of your body through your mouth. It's a practice that's meant to cleanse the body thorough your mouth, by drawing toxins out so that you can spit them out instead of leaving them in your body. It's considered a folk remedy because not only is it a homeopathic and completely natural remedy, but because there are very few scientific research studies to provide evidence to support its benefits. However, there are plenty of those that have first-hand experience with the practice that have seen great changes after beginning their oil pulling routine. If you search the web for a few minutes, you'll find numerous first hand reports of normal, everyday people that have included oil pulling into their daily life and found great successes with it. Chapter 1 – Introduction Chapter 2 – The Benefits Chapter 3 – How it Works Chapter 4 – A How to Guide Chapter 5 – Creating a Routine Conclusion

Nutritionists and functional medicine specialists have seen positive results. Although the oil pulling concept has already started to gain steam in the Western World in recent years, dental professionals are still confused when it comes to proper responses to patient cases who have already adopted this particular alternative therapy. The thing is the longer you do the swishing of oil into your mouth (specifically the teeth and gums), the more microbes will be dug and taken away. You have to swish the oil enough until it turns into milky white. When this happens you can be certain that harmful bacteria has been removed.

This oral condition is so prevalent that it is considered as the nation’s top chronic disease. Further, tooth decay is even more prevalent than asthma. Cavity prevalence is surprising considering that tooth decay is preventable. If you look at the numbers, the pervasiveness of dental cavities becomes even more startling. In a study (2011-2012) done by the National Institute for Health, together with the Center for Disease and Prevention reports that 91% of adults with age ranging from 20 to 64 have dental cavities. Further, 5% of adults with the same age range have no remaining teeth. The study also predicts that when these adults reach 65 years of age, the rate would have increased to 96%. A 2016 National Center for Health Statistics survey shows that 18.6 percent of children aged 5 to 19 and 31.6 percent of adults aged 20 to 64 have untreated dental cavities. The high percentage of children and adults with cavities should be a cause for concern. Research has shown that there is a link between oral health and general health, like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, stroke, dementia, and respiratory illnesses. Several theories have been advanced by experts in dental health which link cavities to general health. One such link is the mouth-body connection which happens to be an old theory you can trace back to the time of Hippocrates. At this point, you may wonder how tooth decay which is a preventable disease could rise to such a high level of prevalence. You may also wonder about the conditions which give rise to cavity development. The crucial question, though, is how to reverse cavities the natural way to prevent the dental problem from developing into a serious oral health condition.
