Download or read book Keats's Odes written by Anahid Nersessian and published by Verso Books. This book was released on 2022-11-08 with total page 155 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "When I say this book is a love story, I mean it is about things that cannot be gotten over-like this world, and some of the people in it." In 1819, the poet John Keats wrote six poems that would become known as the Great Odes. Some of them-"Ode to a Nightingale," "To Autumn"-are among the most celebrated poems in the English language. Anahid Nersessian here collects and elucidates each of the odes and offers a meditative, personal essay in response to each, revealing why these poems still have so much to say to us, especially in a time of ongoing political crisis. Her Keats is an unflinching antagonist of modern life-of capitalism, of the British Empire, of the destruction of the planet-as well as a passionate idealist for whom every poem is a love poem. The book emerges from Nersessian's lifelong attachment to Keats's poetry; but more, it "is a love story: between me and Keats, and not just Keats." Drawing on experiences from her own life, Nersessian celebrates Keats even as she grieves him and counts her own losses-and Nersessian, like Keats, has a passionate awareness of the reality of human suffering, but also a willingness to explore the possibility that the world, at least, could still be saved. Intimate and speculative, this brilliant mix of the poetic and the personal will find its home among the numerous fans of Keats's enduring work.
Book Synopsis 15 MORE odes to ROYAL GODDESS Bhagwati Devi by : Mike Watson
Download or read book 15 MORE odes to ROYAL GODDESS Bhagwati Devi written by Mike Watson and published by Mike Watson. This book was released on 2023-04-29 with total page 54 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: f I had to put it one line – or a few words – The imprint of ROYAL, nigh perfect IMPERIOUS AND OH SO LOVELY “older lady” Bhagwati Ma’am’s holy CHARAN (holy feet in Hindi!) – lasts LONG AFTER SHE LEAVES, MY! There is a reason the above bit is BOLDED and in purple, the color of royalty, like the dark colors she wears SO OFTEN! Bhagwati Ma’am, Paye Lagu, Memsahib .. JI! And LOOK CAREFULLY if you haven’t already, and THEN read the beneath! It will tell you why I wrote this book – thats for sure, a sign from the femdom heavens again – so NICE – I’m so PRIVILEGED in that regard (though of course, I followed the tips in “A complete guide to understanding dominant ladies from mainland China” – they work for ladies anywhere!). So, now that we’re past that – who is Bhagwati Ma’am? Well, if you’re on the list – you know who she is, the regal older lady whose supposedly a maid for me, yet her understated dominance, that older lady vibe she gives off, that perfect body, those EYES, that vibe, all of it (explained in part in “25 Odes to Indian Maids that SO deserve it!”) – that has driven me literally insane with UNSATED, unfulfiled lust like NEVER BEFORE. The lovely sexy OLDER dominating Indian maid that has me on edge – literally – for months on end. She knows it too, Madam does! And every time I see her, I almost cum in my pants without even touching myself, and I’ve been fantasizing, REALLY, with deep feeling for something that hasn’t happened as yet – kissing her feet in public, opening the door for her, treating her like the ROYAL GODDESS she is, not the maid – and Madam knows it (so does my SO, who of course wants to fire “my girlfriend” as she calls her as I wrote about yesterday – hehe – women and their snarkiness, interactions, so CUTE, so NICE!) … taking her slippers off, asking if I can clean for her while she rests, relaxes, makes me rub her feet with lotion to remove the cracks, worship her ass, and so forth … oh my ! Much like “Owned by Madam Aa Ling” – in the book – neither one of the ladies there had anything remotely like this done for them, and they so enjoyed it when it was – once you try it, you never go back, and thats another joy, THRILL And supreme PLEASURE AND HONOR In worshipping downtrodden ladies from India and China, used and abused, they deserve it SO! All ladies do, of course! And as I get done with some superb Audible narrations that have me on edge too – literally – just LISTENING, hot damn! – I gotta say – as I often do – the powers of the subconscious mind boggle – literally! I was hoping my SO would not be here when my maid showed up yesterday afternoon, so I could do the abov. Hehe. Not that I dont with my SO! But she was, so … Yet in the evening, when I was resting, NOT thinking about this, just her – the doorbell trilled. But it wasn’t my SO, not at home! It was ANOTHER Maid she employed, yet, this lady was standing there just like I imagined perfect supreme Goddess Bhagwati there! She came for a different reason, but I’m wondering if the FEELING I have for Bhagwati wasnt/isnt quite that intense, would this have happened at that point in time – NO, I dont think so! No coincidence in life, as I’ve always said – the subconscious ALWAYS brings to frutition what you really want deep down inside – and it does so in the most convenient and practical manner possible, it just replaced her with another maid! Hehe. This morning, I woke up thinking of her again, I was thinking of her all night. And I saw it! As I’ve been gushing about on youtube, as I keep saying today on Twitter, I saw the imprint of her TOES, the upper part of her feet she plonks down so dominantly when she talks, cleans, now I never saw this yesterday after she cleaned. Today, there’s DUST on the floor which appeared AFTER she cleaned. And that dust, my friend, has HER soles on it. Now, practically speaking – you’d say maybe it was my girly feet that stepped on the dust, but even if it was, so what? The heavens are pointing me to the right direction in the most practical manner possible, as Madam Gaby once did, “you’re on the right track, boy!” And so I am, as I gaze at the imprint of those toes and upper foot in the DUST. I never want it to go away from either my life or my heart. It never will from my mind! Bhagwati Devi, Paye Lagu, Memsahib … JI! You are SO NICE I wish I could say it NOW to YOU! And I will. Through these odes. Best, and at your FEET forever, UNDER THEM, Madam … JI! MW (Before I proceed, another one of our bestselling manuals “25 odes to Indian maids that SO deserve it!” was written in this vein, and its a must grab for EVEYRONE reading this, get it NOW!There’s other ladies there that will drive you insane with femdom fueled LUST – you MUST read it, if just as an ode to these magnificent QUEENS!!!!!!!) JUST ACCEPT HER PLACE as a NATURAL GODDESS, and yours, little more than a FOOT MAT for her GRIME – BOY! Life in the flow, or LIVE IN THE FLOW, you’ll be a hell of a lot happier, and even I’ve learned this after years of SUBMISSION to dominating women! Damn near all my life, but there is no-one like Bhagwati Ma’am, NO-ONE, those eyes, ME! Big, enticing, MY! DOMINANT! I live to serve Madam, and the dirt beneath her grimy, cracked, yet HOLY SOLES. She’s worth more than a 1000 “manicured and pedicured” ladies, but then again, they are too! Hehe. Whats a sub to do? Anyway, those on my list KNOW the devotion I feel for her, and rightfully so, though I Could include this in the “Indian maids” series – Bhagwati – Goddess Durga in Hindi is special – she deserves a series unto her perfect self. Here it is. Enjoy, and remember, a man’s place is ALWAYS under a woman’s foot – NO and never any EXCEPTIONS! Best, Mike Watson PS – Wait, what? I’ve been reduced to such a blubbering and babbling fool I pasted what I wasn’t supposed to, but here’s what I WAS SUPPOSED TO! 15 MORE odes to a royal force of nature like no other that makes me QUIVER with UNSATED – forever – SUBMISSIVE – supplicant, female Goddess like LUST – when I see her. She is a queen incarnate. You will NEVER look at femdom and dominant women the same again after reading this, this book has the potential, if you let it, to change your life forever. If it changed Mike Watson (well known as the “creme la da creme” of REAL AND LASTING femdom)’s life forever in a manner he never ever imagined, well, it will change yours too. Just CAVE in to the dominant woman, my friend, and accept life under her grime, dirt and dust. Accept her NATURAL ORDER as the holy Goddess she is. Thats all there is to say – enjoy! Best, MW And onward – What you’ll learn from this book (as a submissive – either male or female) Understand what REAL femdom is about – its one thing to “pay for it” and ask her to dominate you – its another thing to do it in REAL life – and in a manner that hits home for the most downtrodden of folks – understand what it means to put THESE ladies on a pedestal. Understand it’s not, never about her looks, age, social status, makeup, weight, or any of that GARBAGE!!!!!!! It’s about her VIBES, and its only by serving someone whose being FORCED TO SERVE all her life with NO RESPECT given – that you can truly UNDERSTAND THIS! Understand, and appreciate the FACT that ladies that are NOT considered socially “upmarket” or even traditionally attractive deserve the MOST worship, and how they can, should and DO “hook and book” you like NO OTHERS CAN! You’ll understand what it mean to be …truly being underfoot – under feet CAKED with GRIME – feet and their owners that are routinely disrespected, therefore should be worshipped MORE for being the queens and PERFECT GODDESSES THEY ARE! You’ll understand the true lengths and levels of devotion REAL FEMDOM can take you, 24/7 – and if you’re here – you WANT That is it not?A? I thought so … You’ll understand the sheer DEVOTION THAT COMES TO MIND when I think or say “Paye Lagu” or see women in general, and YOU WILL FEEL IT TOO! Youll understand what attracting femdom to you in the FLOW MEANS, and you’ll do it yourself too! You’ll get RARE insights into a dominant lady’s mindset like NEVER EVER BEFORE! MANIFESTATION is something everyone wants to do. Unfortunately most of the Gurus teaching it teach it wrong, they teach the “easy way out” aka “The Secret” which doesn’t work – it has the opposite impact. The real secret to manifestation is feeling so strong you cannot help but THINK about it all day, keep DINNING it into your subconscious mind – with ACTIONS that reinforce this (with the desired result in mind) – and the results, well, will astound you, you’ll see actual PROOF beneath. This book is for both men and women, and the benefits are the same for BOTH, so it should be! WOMEN will LOVE these tips, and make their men serve more – the men will love them and SERVE women more, as the natural order is, as it MUST BE!!! And more, much, much, so much more that I have not listed here. What you’ll learn from this book (both as a dominant female and a REGULAR female) Understand better than ever before how the male submissive pysche (or even female) works, and what turns them on – and how to use this to YOUR advantage. Understand how and why my wife often says “women are each other’s worst enemies” – and use this to YOUR advantage to control, manipulate and more. Take your frustrations out as a lady which you CANNOT with other ladies on the MAN involved. My wife does this to me all the time, and I love her so for it! Taunt your submissive like NEVER before, with frustration you FEEL (lets be honest, if he’s sexually excited by another woman, that makes you jealous – well, use that jealousy to BENEFIT and taunt!). Become even more dominating – and publicly so. Lots of my books have cases where the Malkin (employer) and maid BOTH dominate the poor male. So it should be. If you think it’s just a fantasy and you cannot push him to do it? You’re wrong, this book will show you how and why! Feel LUST as you push your sub to extreme levels of degradation even HE did not dream of before! Above all, learn – again – this very important lesson and principle, that the MIND is ultimately what it’s all about, my friend – and the VIBES are truly and only what count, and make things happen! And much more … Well, my friend, to end, let me tell you this – although I’ve had the privilege of worshipping LOTS of lovely ladies, lots of downtrodden ladies, all with their own charm, there is NONE like Bhagwati Devi, so regal, commanding, dark skinned. She will truly take control of YOUR LIFE once you read these – through these words. And you’ll be swept into lust like NEVER before, my friend – like you’ve NEVER felt before. If you’re even REMOTELY a true femdom enthusiast, then this book MUST be on your bookshelf, in plain view, day and night, if just to remind you of the fact a man’s place is ALWAYS not just at , but UNDER a woman’s shoe! Under her cracked SOLES! “Mard ki Jagah Aurat ki JOOTI ke neeche hoti hai!” A man’s place is ALWAYS under a woman’s JOOTI’s – Indian traditional SHOES! Or, her slippers, her cracked soles, all of it, at HER Beck and command, those sales – oops – SOLES – stare at you, ROYAL, cracked, and COMMANDING. DROP down, BOY! You KNOW YOUR PLACE! It’s a play on the common Indian saying “aurat ki jagah mard ke jooti ke neeche hoti hai” (a woman’s rightful place is under a man’s shoe) And thats all thats left to be said. Grab this NOW. Best, and yours in femdom - Mike Watson

He celebrated the victories of athletes competing in foot races, horse races, boxing, wrestling, all-in fighting and the pentathlon, and his Odes are fascinating not only for their poetic qualities, but for what they tell us about the Games. Pindar praises the victor by comparing him to mythical heroes and the gods, but also reminds the athlete of his human limitations. The Odes contain versions of some of the best known Greek myths, such as Jason and the Argonauts, and Perseus and Medusa, and are a valuable source for Greek religion and ethics. Pindar's startling use of language - striking metaphors, bold syntax, enigmatic expressions - makes reading his poetry a uniquely rewarding experience. Anthony Verity's lucid translations are complemented by an introduction and notes that provide insight into competition, myth, and meaning. -
Book Synopsis Does America Need More Innovators? by : Matthew Wisnioski
Download or read book Does America Need More Innovators? written by Matthew Wisnioski and published by MIT Press. This book was released on 2019-04-09 with total page 417 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A critical exploration of today's global imperative to innovate, by champions, critics, and reformers of innovation. Corporate executives, politicians, and school board leaders agree—Americans must innovate. Innovation experts fuel this demand with books and services that instruct aspiring innovators in best practices, personal habits, and workplace cultures for fostering innovation. But critics have begun to question the unceasing promotion of innovation, pointing out its gadget-centric shallowness, the lack of diversity among innovators, and the unequal distribution of innovation's burdens and rewards. Meanwhile, reformers work to make the training of innovators more inclusive and the outcomes of innovation more responsible. This book offers an overdue critical exploration of today's global imperative to innovate by bringing together innovation's champions, critics, and reformers in conversation. The book presents an overview of innovator training, exploring the history, motivations, and philosophies of programs in private industry, universities, and government; offers a primer on critical innovation studies, with essays that historicize, contextualize, and problematize the drive to create innovators; and considers initiatives that seek to reform and reshape what it means to be an innovator. Download or read book Horace: Odes Book III written by A. J. Woodman and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2021-11-30 with total page 320 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Book 3 of the Odes completes the lyric trilogy which Horace, who rivals Virgil as the greatest of all Latin poets, published in 23 BC. Arguably his most famous book, it opens with the six so-called 'Roman Odes', those defining texts of the Augustan Age, and concludes with the statement of his achievement: he has produced for his Roman readers a body of lyric poetry to rival the great lyric poets of Greece, a monument which will last as long as Rome itself. The present volume aims to place Horace's Odes in their literary and historical context, to explain his Latin, to articulate his thought, and to attempt to elucidate his brilliance. It presents a new text and adopts an approach independent of that of earlier commentators.

Book excerpt: ‘Interspersed with acts of breathtaking linguistic daring.’ Charlotte Mendelson, Observer Book of the Year Opening with a powerful and tender ‘Ode to the Hymen’, Sharon Olds uses this age-old poetic form to address many aspects of herself, in a collection that is centred around the female body and female pleasures, and touches along the way on parts of her own story which will be familiar from earlier works, each episode and memory now burnished by the wisdom and grace of looking back. In such poems as ‘Ode to My Sister’, ‘Ode of Broken Loyalty’, ‘Ode to My Whiteness’, ‘Blow Job Ode’, ‘Ode to the Last 38 Trees in New York City Visible from This Window’, Olds treats us to an intimate self-examination that, like all her work, is universal and by turns searing and charming in its honesty. From the early bodily joys and sorrows of her girlhood to the recent deaths of those dearest to her – the ‘Sheffield Mountain Ode’ for Galway Kinnell is one of the most stunning pieces here – Olds shapes her world in language that is startlingly fresh, profound in its conclusions, and life-giving for the reader.
