La translation opérée par Bertrand Lavier met ainsi au jour une dimension refoulée de la reproduction, qui au-delà du stéréotype accède à une forme d'universalité. En ce sens, Walt Disney Productions ne constitue pas le commentaire ironique de l'art moderne raconté aux enfants, mais nous rappelle, comme le remarque l'artiste, que "c'est le monde virtuel qui nous permet d'approcher plus profondément la réalité".
