Como toda a proposta contra-hegemônica, enfrenta resistências e desconfianças tanto por docentes como por estudantes sobre sua real capacidade de produzir profissionais de saúde comprometidos com a transformação da realidade por meio da intervenção crítica e criativa. Entre os motivos das resistências citam-se a baixa apropriação teórica e prática dos educadores e da comunidade acadêmica em geral sobre suas bases teóricas e metodológicas. Outras resistências vêm da dificuldade de se definir com clareza quais são as competências, habilidades e atitudes a serem desenvolvidas nos egressos e como implementar esse processo por meio das metodologias ativas. Talvez esta última deva ser o maior desafio e o principal objeto de reflexão de professores: modelar o processo de ensino e aprendizagem em prol da formação de competências profissionais. Assim, este livro oferece ao leitor uma grande oportunidade de mergulhar nessa temática. O primeiro capítulo apresenta as bases teóricas e as principais modalidades de metodologias ativas em saúde. No segundo capítulo, denominado “Ensino do processo de enfermagem na graduação: estudo baseado na Metodologia da Problematização l”, tem-se a oportunidade de aprofundamento em uma das correntes com maior identidade com a realidade brasileira. Os capítulos 3 ao 7 brindam aos leitores com as bases teóricas e metodológicas de algumas das estratégias mais utilizadas dentro do escopo das metodologias ativas: o Team Based Learning (TBL), o Problem Based Learning (PBL), a sala invertida e a simulação realística. Outro aspecto fundamental das metodologias ativas consiste no processo de avaliação da aprendizagem, visto que todas as abordagens aqui propostas estão ancoradas em processos de formação de profissionais de saúde e educação, que têm intencionalidade explícita de formação de competências técnicas e atitudinais. Assim, a avaliação é abordada nos capítulos 8 ao 14. Em todos esses capítulos são apresentados aspectos teóricos e práticos da avaliação coerente com as técnicas apresentadas. Por fim, o livro também aborda um desafio: a formação das competências dos docentes para os processos de avaliação de ensino e aprendizagem, num capítulo em que a autora propõe preencher uma importante lacuna de conhecimento no âmbito da formação pautada por metodologias ativas de ensino e aprendizagem.
