It is hoped this volume contributes to the body of knowledge for Marion County--an important county in Northwest Alabama.

Beginning in 1936 the State of Alabama required more information on their marriage licenses including full birthdates and full names of both parents. This information was included if reported. This book is a handy tool for those with ancestors in Blount or adjoining counties.
