Elle propose le dépassement de la division traditionnelle entre les domaines de protection interne et externe, pour analyser la dynamique entre la conception juridique d’une « diplomatie des droits de l’homme » de l’Union européenne – à travers une analyse de l’évolution des cadres institutionnel, normatif et politique – et la réalisation de cette nouvelle forme de diplomatie à l’aide de moyens d’action juridiques tirés aussi bien du droit international que du champ spécifique de l’Union.
