Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: LIVING UR SONATA reveals the transcendent truth of Kurt Schwitters' 1920s epic of nonsense. The Nazis burned Ur Sonata and mocked Schwitters' visionary art as degenerate. Today widely performed, Ur Sonata inspires us to reject nationalism and overcome language barriers to embrace our common humanity. With urgency and humor, Andrew Laties brings tales of Kurt Schwitters' dramatic life into resonance with stories of Laties' own forty years performing, encouraging readers to seize the hour and sing along with Ur Sonata. Includes full text of Ur Sonata.
Book Synopsis Living Your Divine Life by : Orest Bedrij
Download or read book Living Your Divine Life written by Orest Bedrij and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2009-11-19 with total page 285 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Living Your Divine Life takes you beyond the monumental "peak experience", beyond priceless "enlightenment", and beyond human thought- to effortless living, nonstop miracles, God- conscious (Christ-in-us) reality, and ceaseless joy as your natural state. Before we learned to walk or feed ourselved with a spoon, we have to acquire these now second nature "information-processing" skills that originate beyond the conscious mind. Equally, if we want to realize the highest state of our being, happiness and prosperity, we can also bring these second nature (effortless, source code) skills into our daily lives. This mathematical source code, which scientists call the laws of nature, is the DNA of life or the software of God's inner structure. Living Your Divine Life shows you how to access that second nature "source code" on a constant basis. The words of Moses Jesysm Muhammad, Eistein, Bohr, Bohm, Wheeler, the Buddha, and many others reinforce this truth. We can observe "effortless" living in the inner workings of our own body and in the movements of electrons, stars and galaxies. By Living Your Divine Life, you can experience peace beyond peace and absolute knowledge at the center of yourself- by unfolding the Godhead within splendor of yourself.

Book excerpt: A few dead bodies are a small price to pay in the quest for immortality. In 2025 America, it’s hardly news when a renowned octogenarian scientist dying of cancer disappears from a local hospice, but when Kansas City Star reporter Rich Azadian begins to dig, he discovers that other elderly scientists around the world have also vanished recently—all terminally ill and receiving the same experimental treatment from a global health company. His investigation leads him to the reclusive Noam Heller, a brilliant researcher exploring new technologies to reverse-age cancer and other cells. Using revolutionary stem cell treatments and snippets of DNA from rare, immortal Arctic jellyfish, his breakthrough promises the genetic equivalent of the fountain of youth. But when Heller is murdered and his lab destroyed, Rich and his girlfriend Antonia become targets themselves. With the local police and federal authorities failing to see the big picture, he realizes he must take matters into his own hands to survive and stop the killing. His only hope is to mobilize his network of brilliant misfits and infiltrate the vast and lethal race—among cutthroat corporations, national intelligence services, rogue scientists, and a mysterious international organization—to control the new technologies and perhaps the secret of life itself. Skyhorse Publishing, as well as our Arcade, Yucca, and Good Books imprints, are proud to publish a broad range of books for readers interested in fiction—novels, novellas, political and medical thrillers, comedy, satire, historical fiction, romance, erotic and love stories, mystery, classic literature, folklore and mythology, literary classics including Shakespeare, Dumas, Wilde, Cather, and much more. While not every title we publish becomes a New York Times bestseller or a national bestseller, we are committed to books on subjects that are sometimes overlooked and to authors whose work might not otherwise find a home.

Book Synopsis Beethoven’s Dedications by : Artur Pereira
Download or read book Beethoven’s Dedications written by Artur Pereira and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2020-12-30 with total page 305 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The dedication of a piece of music is a feature generally overlooked, but it can reveal a great deal about the work, the composer, the society and the music world in which the composer lived. This book explores the musical, biographical and sociological aspects of the practice of dedicating new compositions in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, and makes a significant contribution towards a better understanding of the impact these tributes had on Beethoven’s life and work, and their function within the context of the musical, cultural and economic environments in which they appeared. As the first of its kind, this study demonstrates that, as a result of their different functions, published dedications and handwritten inscriptions are distinct from one another, and for that reason they have been classified in different categories. This book, therefore, challenges the idea of what exactly can be termed as a ‘dedication’, a concept which extends far beyond the dedication of musical works.
