With this book, the transmission of this helpful knowledge continues. kriyas are actions performed to resist, weaken, and remove mental and physical conditions which blur, distort, and restrict our awareness.Removal of these obstacles allows yoga--the return of awareness to itsoriginal, natural state of wholeness--to be consciously realized. Because attentive practice of Kriya Yoga methods purifies the mind, improves overall health, clarifies awareness, increases receptivity to grace, and quickens spiritual awakening, it is referred to as the path of light. These principles and practices are based on natural laws that can be discovered and verified by anyone.

Book excerpt: This is a scriptural commentary of Lahiri Mahasaya on The Upanishads. If we scan the word Upanisad, we see that Upa means sitting and nisad means near. Thus, the very word Upanisad specifies personal relationship: the Guru-param-para, Master to Disciple learning from the living lips of a Guru. In ancient times, the disciples sat near the Guru to learn the spiritual discipline from the living lips of their Guru to realize the supreme Self. They practiced strictly in accordance with the instructor they received personally from the living lips of their Guru. This is a Kriya Yoga book intended to be read and practiced by everyone, with/without initiation. Please note that the Guru here means the Kutastha, i.e., the place between the eyebrows, also known as The Third Eye. Every word uttered by a Yogi has a special meaning that is totally unintelligible to even the highly intellectual people. This book is written in such a way that everyone can follow it up while trading the path of Kriya. People think that they are very intelligent, but if they try to understand very seriously, they realize perfectly that nothing is happening according to their intellect. Only those whose breath is not blowing in the left or right nostril are intelligent in this world. When breathing is faster, then in one day and one night respiration can flow up to 113,680 times. Normally during the same time, the figure is 21,600 times. During a day and night, if respiration is faster than usual, the breath can flow in and out 113,680 times. Normally, in the course of a day and night, there are 21,600 breaths. This figure is reduced by Kriya practice to 2,000 times. So, breathing 1,000 times in the day and 1,000 times in the night, in a normal course, provides greater Tranquility to a Yogi. One of his breaths takes about 44 seconds. Such a Yogi is matured in Kriya practice. Thoughts are inseparably related to breathing. So, when the number of breaths is reduced, thoughts are reduced proportionately. Eventually, with the tranquilization of breath, thoughts are dissolved. Thereby, the seeker can attain the After-effect-poise of Kriya, or eternal Tranquility, which is Amrita, nectar proper.

Book excerpt: • Explains the basic techniques of the practice, detailing proper posture, breathwork exercises (pranayama), bandhas, third-eye gazing, and the use of mantra • Presents advanced, yet simple, techniques that accelerate a contemplative practice by micro-modulations related to posture, respiration, visualization, and sound • Includes wisdom from the author’s teacher Ganesh Baba on the importance of the spine in Kriya yoga and the Cycle of Synthesis, a model of the human experience Kriya yoga is an ancient meditation technique that focuses on breathing and the spine to unlock deep states of awareness, self-realization, and spiritual growth. Kriya can provide a fast path to awakening, yet its practice has been shrouded in secrecy, passed only from master to initiate for millennia. Introduced into Kriya 40 years ago, Keith Lowenstein, M.D., offers an accessible yet detailed guide to Kriya yoga. He explains the basic techniques of the practice step by step, detailing proper posture, breathwork exercises (pranayama), visualization practices, and mantra. He reveals how Kriya is a scientific art--if practiced consistently, it will allow you to quickly enter deep states of meditation and ultimately experience inner stillness. He also explores how the practice of Kriya leads to healing and the development of compassion and the freeing joy of the union of Nature and Spirit. Sharing the wisdom of his Kriya yoga teacher Ganesh Baba, the author adds a detailed understanding of anatomy, especially the importance of the spine in Kriya yoga and energy flow. The author explores Ganesh Baba’s teachings on spirit-infused science and the integration of Vedic philosophy, quantum mechanics, prana, and spiritualization illustrated in the Cycle of Synthesis. He also discusses the relationship between the exercises of Kriya yoga and Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras as well as teachings from his other teachers, including Paramahansa Hariharananda. With this guide, you will gain an understanding not only of the practice of Kriya yoga but also of the spiritual wealth it brings, including the ultimate self-realization of non-dual reality.

Book excerpt: After the success of my book "God and Self-Realization" (Scientific and Spiritual View a theoretical book), published in 2002, many valued readers suggested the need to write on the practical techniques about "Kundalini & Kriya Yoga", which may help the readers as their spiritual Guide, sitting in their homes . This book is based upon on author's whole life yogic experiences, spiritual studies and blessings of the great saints. The covers detailed subtle experiences of Life-force, Chakras, Nadis, Samadhi, merging of your soul with God during deep meditation. What an Aspirant should do what he shouldn't do. What he should read and what he shouldn't. The most of the books available on this subject are neither according to the scriptures, nor concise and nor comprehensive. Some have diverted the main topic and have added too much superfluous information like the details of human anatomy, unlimited description of minor chakras and innumerable nadis in the body. This creates confusion and takes us away from the real goal of Self-Realization. Some have ignored, distorted and twisted the most essential aphorisms of Yama & Niyama and have added their own objectionable views to misguide the innocent readers. Although the subject is very vast, author has tried his best to be concise and to cover the entire necessary information on the subject, in an easy to understand language with glossary of yogic terms. "Kundalini & Kriya Yoga" covers both theoretical and practical knowledge in the search of God. It is the journey of soul back to God. This book is based upon author's 36 yrs long practical experience of Asnana, Pranayama & Meditation, learned from various advanced saints in Himalayas and YSS. India has given the great gift to the world, like Holy Scriptures, Avataras, many realized miraculous saints, many religions to the world. The theoretical and practical knowledge of the great Vedas and Scriptures is available to the seekers of God, but not in easy to understand language. Aspirants can get the direct, contact, interaction and guidance of great Gurus in seeking their spiritual path, but their family life is disturbed, if they live in their Ashrams. Alternatively, this book can serve as your day to-day spiritual practical guide, right sitting at your home or office, without disturbing your family life and source of livelihood.

The book that demystifies and uncovers the true state of Enlightened beings. This book is based on Turiya, which is the highest potential a human can aspire to achieve in this world. The teachings and expositions in this book are unlike anything you've ever seen. Special paragraphs were written with the underlying purpose of dismantling the illusory constructs that your ego-mind has created. The unseen and immeasurable existence of who we are, once discovered, awakens an instantaneous insight that everything is a speck of dust in comparison to the Ultimate Reality. But even this speck of dust is worth celebrating once we know our timeless Being. After all, life is supposed to be a celebration of love. Turiya makes that celebration possible! The natural manifestation of enlightenment is truly the highest celebration in life. This book reveals the truth about how enlightenment manifests in Self-Realized human beings in this world in terms of: body - energy - mind - ego - kundalini - consciousness - samadhis - behaviors - psychological traits - thoughts - tendencies - emotions - apparent desires - residual habits - perception - duality - non-duality - life - dreams - sleep - death. And it will also disclose: What is the God State and why it is so critical in our spiritual journey; The reason why the perfect "being" or perfect "Guru" doesn't truly exist; The usually erroneously interpreted "degrees of Enlightenment;" How is it to live from permanent Samadhi; A practical and comprehensive guide to the process of surrender and presence--the two essential ingredients of your spiritual journey; How spiritual practice clears away the subconscious debris, purifying the psyche; Why restlessness commands your life and how to go beyond it; And much more. It is time you dive into the ocean of bliss within--with no oxygen tank--or do you prefer to stay in the arid desert of dissatisfaction? It's your choice--now or never.
