Alex Connor's life was turned upside down when the god of light Arre summoned him to the world of Lehask. Alex went from being an ordinary high school student who loved fantasy games to living in a true fantasy world. Despite that the only monsters he'd ever killed were on his computer screen, Arre compelled him to kill the Demon King. Against all odds, the former nerd gamer completed the mission, but he was badly wounded and the friends he brought along to help him fell. As payment for his bittersweet victory, the evil avatar attempted to kill him and murdered the girl he loved. Following his narrow escape from Arre, Alex is found by a powerful mage who hides, heals, and apprentices him. Using transformative magic, Alex makes himself stronger and harder as he plots his revenge. But, to take on the demiurge who betrayed him, he'll need to be nearly invincible…and ready to face rivals on other planets in the Divine Realm if and when he becomes a god himself.

Book excerpt: The Christian world has been rocked by the number of prominent leaders, in both church and parachurch organizations, who have been compromised by moral, ethical, and theological failures. This pace-setting volume addresses this alarming problem and offers Christian leaders valuable guidance in dealing with the inherent risks of their work. Using biblical and current examples, the authors describe the characteristics of five types of leaders and the problems that are most likely to develop if their particular dysfunctions develop unrestrained. McIntosh and Rima offer a series of steps for leaders to consider so they can take control of their dark side and learn to harness its creative powers. This edition includes a new introduction, updated information throughout, a self-assessment tool, and other additional material. Includes endorsements from John Maxwell, Leighton Ford, Leith Anderson, and Rob Angel.

Book excerpt: The only true and unedited telling of the life of Christ—his life and times, in historical context, but not lacking the psychology behind his physical being and spirit. Unlike other books seeking to strip Jesus' story to reveal only the human being, Romano Guardini's The Lord gives the complete story of Jesus Christ—as man, Holy Ghost, and Creator. Pope Benedict XVI lauds Guardini's work as providing a full understanding of the Son of God, away from the prejudice that rationality engenders. Put long-held myths aside and discover the entire truth about God's only begotten Son.

Book excerpt: The figure of the alchemical Mercurius features ubiquitously and radically in Jung’s later works, but despite this, there has been little research concerning Mercurius in Jungian studies to date. In this book, Mathew Mather explores the figure of the alchemical Mercurius and contextualises and clarifies its significance in Jung’s life and works. Placing the alchemical Mercurius as a central concern reveals a Jungian interpretation in which the grail legend, alchemy and precessional astrology, as three thematic threads, converge. In such a treatment, Jung’s belief in the dawning of a new platonic month emerges as a central consideration and an esoteric perspective on Jung’s life and works is brought more fully to light, constructing a life-myth interpretation. The book is comprised of three parts: Aurea Catena: locating the figure of the alchemical Mercurius within the Western esoteric tradition Daimonic Encounter: the relevance of this figure in Jung’s personal life Magnum Opus: Jung’s portrayal of this figure in key texts such as Synchronicity, Aion, Mysterium Coniunctionis; and Emma Jung and von Franz’s The Grail Legend. The Alchemical Mercurius is a unique contribution to analytical psychology, substantially revealing ‘esoteric Jung’ and providing valuable perspectives on the theme of his myth for our times. The book will appeal to researchers and academics in the field of analytical psychology as well as postgraduate students.

Book excerpt: If someone else reincarnated, even if they were trash, they would still be human. Why am I reincarnated as a cat? It's fine if I turned into a cat. Other people entering the academy to act cool and have a relationship was fine, but I became a teacher with my life on the line. Furthermore, the class I took was the most useless one in the entire academy. It's not suitable for me to play the pig to eat the tiger. I can only slap my face to make it look fat. Everything is as I remember it ... 

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is the universe? What does that mean? I will try to explain to those persons who want to know. The universe is the large emptiness we see all around and parts we do not see yet. It is easy for us to see through it and reach out, and we touch nothing. The universe does exist because there are things that we can touch and feel. There is space around everything; this empty space. It did not exist before any parts or trees, grass, animals, people, so there was emptiness. This is called es or ethrea and exists millions and billions of years ago. There was a super intelligent being, whom we call Jehovah, and Jehovah looked all over this empty space and found no other being or no other part or thing in this emptiness that exists. He called it ethrea; he found nothing existed besides him. So he thought and thought for quite some time and decided he would create a being called animal, but there was nothing to be like him. It does not need to look like me. Nothing can be like me. It must have a place to move and a part that helps it move. It must have legs and feet to touch something to move on. So Jehovah discovered that he could speak and lots of stuff would come into existence. Now how can make this stuff form into balls, or better, Ill call it a planet or nebula. If I make it go around like a whirlwind, it will come to a center. So he caused the stuff to go round and round, and he discovered it got hot with friction. When it cooled down, it became a large ball, and he called it the sun. Some of the spinning stuff became smaller balls, and he could call those the planets and the smaller ones as moons. There were so many of these planets and moons. What could he do with them? He could make grass and trees and animals and people that could be companions. It would take many years of experiments to do this, and he had so many planets to cause to grow and many years to make the animals able to talk, and they will need to be able to eat.

Book excerpt: A New translation with Introduction, Glossary of terms used by Feuerbach and timeline of his life and works. Feuerbach's 1837 work, "Geschichte der neueren Philosophie von Bacon bis Spinoza" (History of Modern Philosophy from Bacon to Spinoza), is an important contribution to the study of philosophy and intellectual history. The work traces the development of philosophical thought from the seventeenth century to the Enlightenment and examines the key figures and ideas that shaped this period. He argues that philosophy is not a static set of ideas, but rather a dynamic and evolving process that is shaped by social, political, and cultural factors- the basic Materialist Anthropology adopted by Marx. Schopenhauer and Nietzsche both take their satirical distichons about religion from Feuerbach, and every aspect of Marxism can be found here in Marx's favorite Philosopher. Feuerbach is a critical figure in the development of not merely Marxism, but Atheism and Humanism in general. This is Volume I in the The Complete Works of Ludwig Feuerbach by LP
