Book Synopsis Knowledge Production Modes between Science and Applications 1 by : Jean-Claude Andre

This book was released on 2024-02-28 with total page 141 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Inventing isn’t easy! In this book, twelve “valleys of death” are identified which, following a linear approach, correspond to the various obstacles that limit the various passages from an original idea to invention, and then to industrial innovation. These various limiting factors have a variety of origins: disciplined scientific training, weak general and scientific culture, New Public Management, hierarchical support, funding, evaluation, proof of concepts, complexity management, and heuristic and interdisciplinary approaches on the one hand, and attractiveness for the new on the other. After an idea is formulated, these contexts bring small elements of science into play, but above all human aspects ranging from motivation and the quality of exchanges to responsibility. In short, it is a possible dynamic way of living together to promote innovations stemming from science. This is not easy, but if the invention is profitable for society, the downstream sector can greatly facilitate the various stages of commercialization.
Book Synopsis Le statut juridique des migrants admis à des fins d'emploi by : Ryszard Cholewinski
Download or read book Le statut juridique des migrants admis à des fins d'emploi written by Ryszard Cholewinski and published by Council of Europe. This book was released on 2004-01-01 with total page 104 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

This book was released on 1982-10-31 with total page 480 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume constitutes the proceedings of the NATO Advanced Study Institute on Water Resources and Land-Use Planning that was held in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, July 3-14, 1978. In the pre paration of the two-week NASI, we identified 12 major goals and objectives, knowing well, at the time, that the satisfaction of all priorities would be an impossible task. It is instructive that we share these early goals and objectives with our readers prior to evaluating the NASI's contribution. 1. Relate and analyze water resources (water quantity and quality, surface and groundwater) and related land resources in a multi objective framework. 2. Identify and relate the scientific, technological, institu tional, societal, legal and political aspects of water and related land resources to policy decisions. 3. Promote and foster the transfer of technological information and assistance in water related land resources within the var ious levels of government. 4. Analyze the above three objectives and goals in light of the experience gained by the institute participants via case studies. 5. Improve communication and understanding among the various dis ciplines involved in water and related land resources. 6. Discuss and analyze the applicability of advanced planning methodologies germane to water and related land resources. 7. Identify current and projected future water and related land resources problems and issues and suggest ways to alleviate their respective and interrelated impacts.

Book Synopsis L'évaluation de l'information : Confiance et défiance by : CAPET Philippe
Download or read book L'évaluation de l'information : Confiance et défiance written by CAPET Philippe and published by Lavoisier. This book was released on 2013-05-01 with total page 303 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
