Por otro lado, se analiza el ODS 16 (Paz, justicia e instituciones sólidas), con el fin de destacar la necesidad de que impere la paz y la justicia en el estado de Tamaulipas, ya que en las últimas décadas se ha visto asolado por la inseguridad debido a la constante violencia ligada al crimen organizado.
