Download or read book Talks with Dad written by Ronald Webb and published by Page Publishing Inc. This book was released on 2023-05-12 with total page 105 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In our day-to-day lives, we are all bombarded with loud and intrusive voices and messages. The people who "chose us" to be their friends rather than the other way around weigh heavily in our life decisions. We have given them permission to have great influence over us, just like how social media controls our lives if we want to fit in and be accepted! The problem is these things, right or wrong, shape our way of thinking and how we act and treat ourselves and treat others. This book tells the story of a young man who has to make some life-changing decisions and turns to a man, a trusted friend, who gives him the advice he needs to learn to think for himself.
Book Synopsis Las Charlas Del Abuelo by : Juan José Guerrero Roiz De La Parra
Download or read book Las Charlas Del Abuelo written by Juan José Guerrero Roiz De La Parra and published by Palibrio. This book was released on 2012-09 with total page 111 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Curious written by Ian Leslie and published by Basic Books. This book was released on 2014-08-26 with total page 250 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A fun yet provocative look at the importance of staying curious in an increasingly indifferent world Everyone is born curious. But only some retain the habits of exploring, learning, and discovering as they grow older. Those who do so tend to be smarter, more creative, and more successful. But at the very moment when the rewards of curiosity have never been higher, it is misunderstood and undervalued, and increasingly monopolized by the cognitive elite. A "curiosity divide" is opening up. In Curious, Ian Leslie makes a passionate case for the cultivation of our "desire to know." Drawing on fascinating research from psychology, economics, education, and business, Leslie looks at what feeds curiosity and what starves it, and finds surprising answers. Curiosity is a mental muscle that atrophies without regular exercise and a habit that parents, schools, and workplaces need to nurture. Filled with inspiring stories, case studies, and practical advice, Curious will change the way you think about your own mental life, and that of those around you.
Book Synopsis Teaching Tech Together by : Greg Wilson

Book excerpt: Hundreds of grassroots groups have sprung up around the world to teach programming, web design, robotics, and other skills outside traditional classrooms. This book presents evidence-based practices that will help you create and deliver lessons that work and build a teaching community around them. Topics include the differences between different kinds of learners, diagnosing and correcting misunderstandings, teaching as a performance art, what motivates and demotivates adult learners, how to be a good ally, fostering a healthy community, getting the word out, and building alliances with like-minded groups. The book includes over a hundred exercises that can be done individually or in groups, over 350 references, and a glossary to help you navigate educational jargon.
