Previous books and articles have provided a well documented story of the Iron Brigade which the regiment was a part of. The problem with previous research is that a majority of them do not focus on the 19th Indiana as a regiment of its own, with its own unique history and combat record. As a result it was decided that the objective of this documentary would be to create an updated visual historical record of 19th Indiana. What was accomplished was a 46 minute documentary using a combination of interviews, animation, archival material, and reenactment to provide an entertaining documentary for future audiences to learn more about the 19th Indiana.
