Book Synopsis International Thermodynamic Tables of the Fluid State Helium-4 by : S. Angus
Download or read book International Thermodynamic Tables of the Fluid State Helium-4 written by S. Angus and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2016-04-20 with total page 293 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: International Thermodynamic Tables of the Fluid State Helium-4 presents the IUPAC Thermodynamic Tables for the thermodynamic properties of helium. The IUPAC Thermodynamic Tables Project has therefore encouraged the critical analysis of the available thermodynamic measurements for helium and their synthesis into tables. This book is divided into three chapters. The first chapter discusses the experimental results and compares with the equations used to generate the tables. These equations are supplemented by a vapor pressure equation, which represents the 1958 He-4 scale of temperature that is defined in terms of the vapor pressure of helium-4. The second chapter are devoted to various equation of state used for the determination of thermodynamic properties. The third chapter contains IUPAC Tables, including their construction, limits, use, and accuracy. This book will be of value to physical chemists and researchers in the field.

Book excerpt: International Thermodynamic Tables of the Fluid State - 7 Propylene (Propene) is a compilation of internationally agreed values of the equilibrium thermodynamic properties of propylene. This book is composed of three chapters, and begins with the presentation of experimental result of thermodynamic studies compared with the equations used to generate the tables. The succeeding chapter deals with correlating equations for thermodynamic property determination of propylene. The last chapter provides the tabulations of the propylene's thermodynamic properties and constants. This book will prove useful to physical chemists.

Download or read book Chlorine written by S. Angus and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2015-09-03 with total page 181 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Chlorine: International Thermodynamic Tables of the Fluid State-8 is a four-chapter book that covers available and estimated data on chlorine; estimation of the element's properties; the correlating equations for the element; and how the tabulated properties are calculated from chosen equation. The tables in this book give the volume, entropy, enthalpy, isobaric heat capacity, compression factor, fugacity/pressure ratio, Joule-Thomson coefficient, ratio of the heat capacities, and speed of sound as a function of pressure and temperature. Given in the tables as well are the pressure, entropy, internal energy, and isochoric heat capacity as functions of density and temperature, for the gas and liquid states from 0.025 MPa to 25 MPa at temperatures from 180 K to 900 K.

This book was released on 2016-08-12 with total page 125 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Thermodynamics and Thermochemistry: Thermodynamic Tables Project is a result of a chemistry conference in 1963. The text contains various studies, lessons, and experimental data that are relevant to the field. The book is divided into two chapters; the first one includes lessons about the constituent tables, encompassing the physical constants and fixed points, vapor pressure equations, PVT surface equations, and derived properties. For each of these topics, the corresponding formula is explained. Chapter 2 highlights the IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) tables and explores the table's physical constants and PVT equations, together with its relevant subtopics. The last part of the book illustrates different tables that are closely associated with the constituent and IUPAC tables. The text caters to people who are interested in studying this field of chemistry, including undergraduates and postgraduates.
Book Synopsis Methanol by : Thermodynamics Tables Project
Download or read book Methanol written by Thermodynamics Tables Project and published by Wiley-Blackwell. This book was released on 1993 with total page 295 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: World production of methanol is growing rapidly and its uses are expanding as a result of environmental legislation requiring the use of cleaner fuels. A new equation of state has been developed which represents the available reliable data to within their experimental accuracy. In particular the equation is able to represent the rapid increase in the heat capacity of the gas near to saturation which results from the association of the molecules due to hydrogen bonding. This book contains the tables of the equilibrium properties for both the liquid and the gas; complemented by a critical assessment of all the data and comparisons with the equation of state.
