Book excerpt: LIFE ON EARTH IS FAR FROM PERFECT. THAT'S WHY ELDERS OF THE PLANET OGAN, A PERFECT world populated by intelligent trees, have sent Ogos there. His mission is simple; eradicate pain and misery. From his landing spot in a city park, Ogos watches the world go by; creating a zone of peace and comfort around him that touches everyone who steps into his cool shade. A group of park-goers adore the tree that never wilts, and they find themselves consistently drawn to Ogos, who has the power to cure their minds and their bodies. It seems that Ogos can cure everything, from homelessness to illness. But there is one thing that Ogos does not have the power to change, and that is his own isolation, for as a tree, he cannot experience the same life as his newfound friends. On this new, imperfect planet, how can Ogos make a difference and be truly happy? So, he found a way to become human. This is a story about kindness, about selflessness, and togetherness in a world that insists on the opposite.

Download or read book Deep Inner Thoughts written by Esther B. Jimenez and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2015-11-09 with total page 140 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is not about how to cope with grief nor about dwelling on it. It is about my own facing of the uncertainty of death. The uniqueness of this book is that, it is a confession of an ordinary woman like me. (actually this is my own confession) about pondering on how to face death gracefully and focusing on doing so, without valid reason such as suffering from terminal illness of any sort. It is indeed just plain boldness on my part. It is a challenge not to fear death, but a challenge to love death as a friend and to treat it as a blessing. My goals in this book are: to express my inner thoughts and feelings, to share my concept of death to the readers, to let the world know that there is a healthy way, a healthy approach to death and utmost-ly to spend the time given to live a "quality life".

Download or read book A Black Man's Inner Thoughts written by Kim R. Prout and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2012-08 with total page 126 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This poetry book is contributed to the continue struggle in my life, personal, and professional, to the overall things that is in my heart that happens each and every day. It's the way of the world being expressed on paper. It's what I see with my eyes that other refuse to see or say or just realize. It's being expressed from the abusive stages, to failure relationships, to lack of parenting, to the love of my mom. It's my way to be able to speak out loud and be heard. There's happy time, to the extreme devastation in the circle of the society life surrounding me. Again writing poetry is my way to express my inner feelings that was locked inside of my soul. It's away to relax and sooth my mental stages that affects my physical presents. It was a way to say how love, death, reality can motivate or depress my life without me being in control. It was my way to cry on paper and not be afraid of what anyone thinks about the things I have to say because it's my feeling and my beliefs. I can say the things that men won't admit to or reject because of taking it personal. It's a way to express reality and at the same time talk real talk. It was my way to express my sorrow for the systems i.e. educational, welfare, and for the kids of the future in this society. It's my way of keeping it real with me, and anyone who's willing to believe what I'm saying. 1st of all I would like to thank the man above because he has watched over me and have protected me through out. I would like to dedicate this poetry book to my wonderful mom (Jeraldine Williams), because without the strength of her for always believing in me none of this would have been possible. So I dedicate this book in behalf of my buddy, my chick, my best friend, my mom. Thank you!

This book was released on 2014-05-29 with total page 135 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: These collection of poems, are my own personal thoughts and poetry throughout my years of growing up. I expressed my thoughts through my poetry, when I couldn't confide in others or feel comfortable talking to someone about what I was thinking or the things I have been having to go through. I have been encouraged by my grandmother and family to publish my poems for others. I have finally got the courage to do just that. I feel publishing them may help others know, they are not alone. If I can help just one individual with my words and thoughts, then I have reached who I needed to, to bring change into their lives, and to help them see anything is possible, if you just be yourself and believe in yourself. You can do anything you imagine, for nothing is impossible. This is for my grandmother, family, and friends whom have all touched my life in one way or another. Many blessings with love and light always, Namaste and Blessed Be! )O(CMD

Book Synopsis Shakespeare and the History of Soliloquies by : James E. Hirsh
Download or read book Shakespeare and the History of Soliloquies written by James E. Hirsh and published by Fairleigh Dickinson Univ Press. This book was released on 2003 with total page 474 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Provides the first systematic and comprehensive account of the conventions governing soliloquies in Western drama from ancient times to the twentieth century. Over the course of theatrical history, there have been several kinds of soliloquies. Shakespeare's soliloquies are not only the most interesting and the most famous, but also the most misunderstood, and several chapters examine them in detail. The present study is based on a painstaking analysis of the actual practices of dramatists from each age of theatrical history. This investigation has uncovered evidence that refutes long-standing commonplaces about soliloquies in general, about Shakespeare's soliloquies in particular, and especially about the to be, or not to be episode. 'Shakespeare and the history of Soliloquies' casts new lights on historical changes in the artistic representation of human beings and, because representations cannot be entirely disentangled from perception, on historical changes in the ways human beings have perceived theselves.
Book Synopsis REVIEWING 2013 New World Translation of Jehovah's Witnesses by : Edward D. Andrews
Download or read book REVIEWING 2013 New World Translation of Jehovah's Witnesses written by Edward D. Andrews and published by Christian Publishing House. This book was released on 2018-01-28 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: REVIEWING 2013 New World Translation of Jehovah’s Witnesses is going to challenge your objectivity. Being objective means that personal feelings or opinions do not influence you in considering and representing facts. Being subjective means that your understanding is based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or ideas. If the reader finds these insights offense, it might be a little mind control at work from years of being told the same misinformation repeatedly, so ponder things objectively. We can also have preconceived ideas that have been a part of our thinking for so long; we do not question them. Preconceived is an idea or opinion that is formed before having the evidence for its truth. If we are to be effective, we must season our words, so that they are received well. Then there is the term preconception, which means a preconceived idea or prejudice. Seasoned words, honesty, and accuracy are distinctive features of effective apologetic evangelism.
