Book excerpt: O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a influência das características de Liderança (Visão, Percepção, Interação, Humildade) no processo de gerenciamento de mudança organizacional, por aqueles que exercem cargos de chefia, na organização em estudo. Para alcançar os objetivos desse trabalho, realizou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa numa empresa do ramo de telecomunicações do estado de Goiás, com a participação de 44 gestores que passaram por grandes processos de mudança organizacional. Os gestores que possuem essas características de liderança (percepção, visão, interação, humildade) podem influir e ajudar na construção de um ambiente saudável de trabalho onde as pessoas estão inseridas, e conseqüentemente gerar resultados mais positivos no processo de mudança organizacional. Os resultados da pesquisa baseados no caso analisado, segundo a prática dos gestores, mostraram-se coerente e semelhante quando comparados à literatura da área. Verificou-se que as características analisadas existem nos gestores, porém em intensidades diferentes nos níveis hierárquicos e elas interferiram nos resultados do processo de mudança da organização em estudo, principalmente contribuindo para a permanência ou não de gestores na organização, frente ao processo de redução do quadro de pessoal. Este tema adquire relevância principalmente considerando aos inúmeros processos de mudanças organizacionais que estão acontecendo hoje no mundo globalizado e competitivo onde necessariamente o capital humano se constitui no único agente capaz de gerar para as empresas o seu diferencial competitivo.

Book excerpt: O objetivo principal do presente estudo consistiu em analisar como o capital de liderança, baseado em seus modelos mentais e em seu estilo de liderança, percebem, conduzem e interferem na mudança organizacional com vistas à gestão do conhecimento em uma organização do setor de eletromecânica de Santa Catarina. Acredita-se que a reorientação dos esforços para gestão dos ativos intangíveis, no caso para implementação de modelos baseados no conhecimento, implica aderir-se implicitamente a um novo conjunto de procedimentos. No que se refere aos líderes, implica reavaliar a forma que conduzem o relacionamento com seus liderados e a sua liderança frente às mudanças organizacionais. A compreensão da mudança organizacional, da gestão do conhecimento, bem como do capital de liderança, por meio da formação de modelos mentais e a escolha do estilo de liderança constituíram a fundamentação teórica deste estudo. A pesquisa contou com a participação de líderes e liderados de duas empresas do Grupo de empresas do setor eletromecânico de Santa Catarina, totalizando 35 pessoas entrevistadas, 12 líderes e 23 liderados. Foi realizado um estudo de caso com abordagem predominantemente qualitativa, por meio da análise do conteúdo dos relatos dos lideres e liderados pesquisados. As técnicas de investigação utilizadas foram entrevistas semi-estruturadas e observação assistemática. Para verificar a influência do líder na mudança organizacional rumo à gestão do conhecimento foram analisadas as seguintes categorias: mudança organizacional, modelos mentais, estilo de liderança e gestão do conhecimento. A análise dos dados, na perspectiva dos sujeitos de pesquisa, evidenciou a necessidade de flexibilidade e adaptabilidade diante das mudanças, principalmente decorrentes do dinamismo do ambiente, assim como a atitude pró-ativa dos líderes como agentes de mudança na organização, influenciando o comportamento de seus liderados. Em relação aos modelos mentais, percebeu-se uma dificuldade em aceitar a reavaliação destes, principalmente em virtude da influência da posição hierárquica como determinante nos relacionamentos. O estilo de liderança observado na organização foi o participativo deliberativo, ainda com indícios de comportamento diretivo, contudo a participação é uma característica cultural da organização, baseada no seu modelo de gestão participativa que influencia a forma de liderança dos líderes entrevistados. Quanto aos aspectos da gestão do conhecimento, a organização estudada não possui um programa formal de implementação deste tipo de gestão, existem algumas iniciativas isoladas e práticas organizacionais que a caracteriza como um terreno fértil para o desenvolvimento de um projeto como este. A influência do capital de liderança na implementação de práticas de gestão do conhecimento foi percebida visto que a maioria das práticas observadas nos departamentos analisados foi proveniente de iniciativas dos líderes.
