Do we disintegrate into nothingness or there's a life after this life? What is a soul? Are we the souls and have these bodies or do we have souls? In this small book we present our recent conversations with various souls. We have been conversing with souls for more than two decades. It started as a fun thing to do when we were young but as we matured, so did our conversations. Earlier our questions were focused around our careers, studies, love life, future, money, however with time we started asking questions about life's purpose, what happens in afterlife and what kind of life is out there. In this book we have captured conversations with various souls. Questions are kept standard to understand individual experience as well as to verify information from various sources. Questionnaire mostly focuses on what happens when we die and rules and regulations of soul's world. In the process of these interviews, we got better understanding of levels of souls, life purpose and reasons of reincarnation. Our intention to write this book is to use the knowledge of afterlife, to be able to live a purposeful life today.
Book Synopsis The Berlin Discussion of the Problem of Evolution by : Erich Wasmann, S.J.
Download or read book The Berlin Discussion of the Problem of Evolution written by Erich Wasmann, S.J. and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2016-04-14 with total page 147 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: First published in 1909, this book collects the author’s lectures on the ‘problem of evolution’ and the resultant debate. The first considers the validity of the Theory of Evolution and whether it is in opposition to the Christian view of creation. The second examines the assertion that evolution harmonises only with Monism rather than Theism and which of the two views is preferable. It also looks at the popular identification of Darwinism with evolution, if it is scientific and the results this leads to. The third looks at man’s position in the problem of evolution — whether we are bound to bring in considerations higher than the zoological — and the evidence for our descent from ‘brutes’.
Book Synopsis The Soul of the German Historical School by : Yuichi Shionoya
Download or read book The Soul of the German Historical School written by Yuichi Shionoya and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2006-01-20 with total page 207 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume is a collection of my essays on Gustav von Schmoller (1838– 1917), Max Weber (1864–1920), and Joseph Alois Schumpeter (1883–1950), published during the past fifteen years. These three intellectual giants are connected with the German Historical School of Economics in different ways. In the history of economics, the German Historical School has been described as a heterodox group of economic researchers who flourished in the Germ- speaking world throughout the nineteenth century. The definition of a “school” is always problematic. Even if the core of a certain idea were identified in the continuous and discontinuous process of the filiation and ramification of thought, it is still possible to trace its predecessors, successors, and sympathizers in different directions, creating an amorphous entity of a school. It is beyond question, however, that Schmoller was the leader of the younger German Historical School, the genuine school with a sociological 1 reality. Schmoller was indeed the towering figure of the Historical School at its zenith.

Book Synopsis The Soul: The Quality of Life by : Alice A. Bailey
Download or read book The Soul: The Quality of Life written by Alice A. Bailey and published by Lucis Publishing Companies. This book was released on 2023-11-01 with total page 270 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This compilation from the books of Alice Bailey seeks to increase understanding of the immortal soul, addressing many aspects under sixty two headings. The creative nature of the Soul: On its own plane, the soul knows no separation, and the factor of synthesis governs all soul relations. The soul is occupied not only with the form that the vision of its objective may take, but with the quality or the meaning which that vision veils or hides. The soul knows the Plan; its form, outline, methods and objective are known. Through the use of the creative imagination, the soul creates; it builds thought-forms on the mental plane and objectifies desire on the astral plane. It proceeds then to externalise its thought and its desire upon the physical plane through applied force, creatively actuated by the imagination of the etheric or vital vehicle. Yet because the soul intelligence, motivated by love, it can (within the realised synthesis which governs its activities) analyse, discriminate and divide. The soul likewise aspires to that which is greater than itself, and reaches out to the world of divine ideas, and thus itself occupies a midway position between the world of ideation and the world of forms, This is its difficulty and its opportunity.

Book Synopsis Logos and Psyche in the Phaedo by : Jesse I. Bailey
Download or read book Logos and Psyche in the Phaedo written by Jesse I. Bailey and published by Lexington Books. This book was released on 2018-01-19 with total page 243 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book offers an original interpretation and close reading of Plato’s Phaedo, focusing on the relation between logos and the soul in order to illuminate the ethical and political dimensions of philosophy as “care of the soul.” Jesse I. Bailey argues that the central issue of the dialogue is the relation between logos and the defining activity of the soul. The soul, in accord with logos, gathers the multiplicity of phenomena into the intelligible wholes of experience. This definitive activity also applies to the soul itself, as the soul gathers itself to itself in logos. Ethical living demands the development of a harmonious unity in the self through this activity. Thus, the book argues that the traditional “pillars” of Platonism—the immortality of the soul and the Forms—are presented not as fully-developed theories to be accepted by the reader whole cloth, but rather as provocations for thought.
