Book excerpt: This is the second part of Elsie Frederick’s autobiography, so picking up from the first book and the astonishing saga of George’s Heart Transplant, this brings us right up to date. She is not an author; these are probably the only books she will ever write. At 70 years of age and locked down amidst the Corona Virus, Covid 19, epidemic, she has taken the opportunity to finish the story started over 30 years ago. The ensuing years brought more serious health issues to deal with. From Stroke through to Dementia, the problems she encountered could have been so much easier to deal with if she had received help from her extended family instead of denial, greed, avarice, deceit and lies. Her love and loyalty was tested to the limit. It shows the devastation that can happen between families when support and understanding is needed but not forthcoming. It became, eventually in 2013, catastrophic. What followed was almost too dreadful to believe. It has taken the last 7 years to get her head straight and finally heal herself. She will never get over what happened but at least she can now go forward. It has been a catharsis for her to write, excruciatingly painful but necessary, as it is a true record of what happened and the process has given her the freedom to live and laugh again... Regrets, yes of course, it should never have happened, but it did, and she regards it now as the Ultimate Survival.

The horrible images that surrounded the last days of the president’s life finally took over, and what little sanity I had left vanished as I plunged myself into an alternate state of reality. It was almost as if I was watching myself on a video as the events leading up to the president’s death began to unfold in the midst of my dreamlike state. At times, I could not tell whether I was actually dreaming or if I was really reliving the past. A sudden knock on the door seemed to jar me back to reality. -George-

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Once upon a time, I believed that rules were the start and end of my life. They defined me instead of the other way around. I’ll admit impulsiveness is a bit out of character for me. I always do the expected, which includes sticking to the rules, no exceptions, nor shortcuts. That was before I met him, Theo Jameson. A man who straddled the rules, never breaking or keeping them. Despite this, Theo is a good man, with a heart the size of the universe. God, how I loved him. Even with all of my quirks, he’d found a way around them, and the cavernous abyss of my heart. But this is me, we’re talking about, Nairobi Sinclair, a girl who runs away from relationships. Not because I don’t believe in them, but because they just never work out for me. Once you’ve been burned, it ruins it for all men. Theo is different, he’s changed me in ways I never dreamed possible or in my foreseeable future. I’ve never felt this way about anyone before. When Theo’s not near me, I miss him and reach for him when I’m asleep. Smile when I hear his voice, or when he leaves me a message. It’s real, and I realized it weeks ago. It scared me to admit it before because of what I went through with Brax. The bastard. But now I have a brand-new beginning, and for the first time in my life, I’m breaking all the rules.

Three internationally renowned artists have been murdered in the heart of Manhattan in as many weeks. The police are baffled because there are no motives, and the killer leaves no clues. Homicide detective Barney Wolfe takes over the case and together with Dawson, they search for the killer. Driven and relentless, they soon discover the killer’s identity. But will they be able to find and stop him in a city of eight million people before he kills again? After they learn who’s next on the killer’s list, Dawson and Wolfe use him as bait to bring the killer out into the open. A sound strategy or a fatal tactical blunder? But as the case unravels, and the two men unearth the motives behind the murders, they are suddenly confronted by an international Cold War crisis with catastrophic consequences. New York 1956 will keep you on the edge of the precipice where the dividing line between justice and revenge is blurred and the threshold leading to redemption is only a faint hope.

Book excerpt: Many of the details of the main character’s life parallel’s actual life events of the author. The author earned an MBA in finance, served four years in the military, and 14 years with the Department of Homeland Security. The motivation for the book arose when a Jewish friend asked him to describe his feelings about the afterlife. After that, he wrote the book with inspiration for the story being the Two Great Commandments from the Bible as well as thoughts from The Inescapable Love of God by Thomas Talbott and finally a lifetime of experiences. The author was highly inspired by a quote from the movie Gladiator, “what we do in life echoes in eternity.” The book was intended to be more action/romance than spiritual but as he experienced a spiritual awakening of his own, the author’s point of view of the world changed. People would ask, “how are you doing?’ and he would answer, “better than I deserve.” The author was dazzled at the extent of religious fervor in many communities but was all too keenly aware of the sadness and desperation brought about by generational poverty on the part of many and generational greed on the part of others. He was also deeply saddened at the spread of godlessness in the secular world. The author earnestly wants to produce an allegory showing a broken special ops soldier, representing every broken man or woman within the reach of this book, nevertheless making his way to heaven to experience the love of God. How can such a man, or any of us, achieve eternity in heaven with the Holy Father when faced with all that we have done? Joe, the special ops man, was told by the archangels that ever since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden there had been a vicious struggle in the Universe between God and the Devil for the souls of the living. The angels in heaven are tasked to assist the Heavenly Father in this struggle. Joe and other warriors were masters of the skills needed to help the Heavenly Father in this effort.
