Book Synopsis Hurry Up and Lose Weight Slowly by : Janet Valabek
Download or read book Hurry Up and Lose Weight Slowly written by Janet Valabek and published by . This book was released on 2017-07 with total page 51 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I lost over 65 pounds and have kept it off for over four years. I did it by recording all the calories I ate and exercised off and then making little changes in the process in order to lose weight. You can do that too but you need to start. Start now. Quick, weigh yourself. Write down everything you've eaten today. Hurry up and start and begin to create good habits and then lose the weight slowly. When you lose weight quickly you can damage your metabolism permanently and losing weight afterwards will become very difficult. Try to lose one pound a week and never stay hungry. If you get hungry, eat a little something so that you don't get ravenous and eat EVERYTHING. Make a list of 50-100 calorie snacks that you really like. This program is not a diet. I will not tell you what foods to eat. You will eat foods that you like and you tweak the ingredients and the size of the servings to modify their effect on your body. You'll be amazed at how easy this comes to you. Diets don't work; life style changes do.

Book Synopsis Boost Your Metabolism for Sustained Weight Loss by : Ron Kness
Download or read book Boost Your Metabolism for Sustained Weight Loss written by Ron Kness and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2016-06-26 with total page 54 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: You've probably heard someone say they can't lose weight because they have a naturally slow metabolism. You may have even said this yourself. Popular diet programs and exercise DVDs promise to "crank up your metabolism" for maximum fat burning, weight loss potential. It seems that this thing called metabolism is somehow directly related to losing weight, and healthy weight management. All of those points beg the question, "What exactly is metabolism, and is it possible to manipulate it to sustain weight loss?" By eating right and keeping active, you keep your metabolism operating properly. This means unneeded fat and waste products are eliminated instead of being stored as fat, or as poisons and toxins in your liver, leading to multiple chronic conditions. Later in this book you will discover proven ways to boost your metabolism through exercise and nutrition. It is possible ... and I'll show you how.

Download or read book Slow Jogging written by Hiroaki Tanaka and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2016-05-10 with total page 176 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Running is America’s most popular participatory sport, yet more than half of those who identify as runners get injured every year. Falling prey to injuries from overtraining, faulty form, poor eating, and improper footwear, many runners eventually, and reluctantly, abandon the sport for a less strenuous pastime. But for the first time in the United States, Hiroaki Tanaka’s Slow Jogging demonstrates that there is an efficient, healthier, and pain-free approach to running for all ages and lifestyles. Tanaka’s method of easy running, or “slow jogging,” is an injury-free approach to running that helps participants burn calories, lose weight, and even reverse the effects of Type-2 diabetes. With easy-to-follow steps and colorful charts, Slow Jogging teaches runners to enjoy injury-free activity by: • Maintaining a smiling, or niko niko in Japanese, pace that is both easy and enjoyable • Landing on mid-foot, instead of on the heel • Choosing shoes with thin, flexible soles and no oversized heel • Aiming for a pace of 180 steps per minute • And trying to find time for activity every day Accessible to runners of all fitness levels and ages, Slow Jogging will inspire thousands more Americans to take up running and will change the way that avid runners hit the pavement.
