Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Join the authors on their hikes through four Southern Oregon counties and our rugged Klamath-Siskiyou mountain wilderness that we share with Northern California. Years of hiking and exploring the mountains long rumored to be home to the elusive Sasquatch, have resulted in a hiking guide like no other! Connect online with over 1800 color photos of their hikes and excursions and use the driving directions and GPS coordinates to choose your adventures. The first hiking book was so successful that by request, the authors have added actual Sasquatch sightings and encounters submitted by their readers and other local Bigfoot enthusiasts. 43 hikes and another 38 historic places of interest with photos of almost all destinations are included. Also included due to overwhelming requests by readers of their first hiking guide, are actual Bigfoot encounters and sightings reported by hikers, campers, gold miners and residents. You will also read about the historic records of the "Almeda Mine Murders." This story was brought to life by research into old records by the noted author, Zane Grey, who had a cabin on the Rogue River not far from the site where the miners were killed by "mysterious apelike creatures!" Read about the Sasquatch that killed a huge cougar by ripping its head and tail off, which according to local officials, is a customary trait of the Bigfoot likely due to its fear of the lions; and the resident gold miner who had a one ton boulder pushed onto his storage shed at his claim; and many more tales of these close encounters of the "wild kind!" Hike into one of America's few remaining wilderness areas, and you may also come to understand why the authors' started their journey as critical of any possibility of Sasquatch, and now they agree that, "with the vast amount of wilderness areas that no human has ever touched, combined with several unexplainable occurrences, ' the possibility that Bigfoot creatures exist certainly would explain a lot of things, and it's entirely believable now that we've been in its beautiful home!" They ask that you treat its home with respect and tread lightly while you enjoy your visit!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our favorite hikes and sightseeing adventures are yours; with GPS coordinates and driving directions to make the trips easy to find. Included is your connection to over 1800 online color photos so you may preview each excursion in advance, and to keep as a permanent record of the trip to view over again, and re-live what we feel to be our adventures of a lifetime! We thoroughly enjoyed our years hiking in Southern Oregon and found ourselves repeating some of them many times over, because there were always new sights, discoveries, branch trails, animals and birds to keep it exciting. Many of our hikes continue far past where we have turned around, and one (The Rogue River Trail) stretches 40 miles one way from Grave Creek to Big Bend. Some of the mountain lake trails have alternate routes where the trails split and head off in opposite directions to eventually meet up again before continuing. Some of these scenic treks are so beautiful that we have not only taken them full circle, but returned again to hike to a halfway point, and then to turn around and return the same way, due to the incredible scenery. Most all of our travels were for pure enjoyment of the magnificence of this gorgeous country; not for the physical torture of extreme exercise. For this reason, many of our adventures are easier to follow than many hikes, because the exertion comes more from the distance traveled than the difficulty of the terrain. So very often, the scenery is so spectacular that one just has to stop in order to appreciate the grandeur of such wild and untouched beauty! This book includes 43 hikes and 38 side trips. During our adventures, we seldom met many travelers, as Southern Oregon's splendor is so vast there could be thousands of hikers in these mountains at the same time, and yet meeting or passing others is a rarity. On occasion, we would meet hikers that carried the excitement of having seen or had an encounter with a Sasquatch, and on those occasions, they were very anxious to share their experience. These stories, along with others we have collected, are contained in our three Sasquatch books (They Saw Sasquatch, Sasquatch Encounters, and Bigfoot Uncovered).

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Enter the mysterious world of Sasquatch! "Bigfoot Uncovered" is the third in our collection of true stories about Sasquatch sightings and encounters. The majority of the stories in "Bigfoot Uncovered" took place in the Pacific Northwest and there are also encounters that happened in Colorado and Idaho. These exciting stories have never appeared anywhere in print until now. These authors come from all walks of life; including doctors, educators, state and federal employees, and a myriad of people whose lives and careers could be affected if their identities were revealed. We have taken great care to guarantee the privacy of every author, and due to having proven our confidentiality, these new stories have arrived from submitters, many of whom have held back for years out of privacy concerns. They finally are able to share their excitement! So how did we get these stories of sightings and encounters with this obscure and reclusive creature? It is a result of our hiking book, "Hiking Sasquatch Country." The years we spent hiking the beautiful and rugged Southern Oregon and northernmost California areas brought us into contact with many hikers, campers, gold miners and those rugged individuals who live "off the grid!" While also documenting our hikes with over 1,800 online photos, we met a great many people who mentioned experiences with Sasquatch, and though we had heard of the creature we had never seen one; that is until...that's another story. We put out the word that we would publish actual sightings and encounters and guarantee total anonymity to our submitters (if they so wished), and the stories began coming in. The first submissions were included in "Hiking Sasquatch Country," and then for the people not interested in the hikes, but only the stories; we published "They Saw Sasquatch." "Sasquatch Encounters" is another book of additional reports by more people who had personal stories of sightings and encounters while visiting the Pacific Northwest and from residents who were reticent about their experiences for fear of being construed as "wacky," as several submitters commented, but they still wanted to tell their story. There are also Bigfoot stories in "Sasquatch Encounters" that happened in other Western and Midwestern states. Our sincere thanks to our authors, and we look forward to feedback on the theories espoused by a few of these writers on why Bigfoot bodies are never found. Three people actually had a hold of one until the treacherous Rogue River wrenched it away!

Book excerpt: After retiring in southern Oregon, we began hiking through the spectacular scenery and taking photos for later reminiscences and records for return trips. That led us to introducing a unique guide to our favorite hikes with a link to over 1,800 online color photos. That book is entitled "Hiking Sasquatch Country" and it contains commentary as well. Not too long after starting this project, we had our first encounter with Sasquatch! Our next surprise came when due to our amazement at this event, we began talking to other hikers we met on the trails about our venture, and that's when we learned just how very many people out there who have had sightings and encounters, but who seldom talk about their experiences for fear of others questioning their sanity! That started a series of published reports from people who began sending us their accounts of their personal experiences with the Bigfoot/Sasquatch, with the promise of confidentiality. We are pleased to announce our latest collection of personal experiences by those who have encountered Sasquatch. They shed new light on the subject of hibernation and we are becoming even more certain that the Bigfoot likely does so in colder climates, but perhaps not in warmer parts of the country with more mild winters. The majority of the encounters in this book come from the Pacific Northwest, but there are also stories from Montana, Minnesota and British Columbia. We take them in order of receipt out of fairness. Many gold miners, hikers, hunters and those living on rural properties have had experiences and sightings with these elusive creatures, and they want to share their stories with you.

Book excerpt: The majority of the encounters in "They Saw Sasquatch" were submitted by residents of the Southern Oregon area where we spent years hiking the beautiful and rugged mountains. We personally had several mysterious events which can only be logically attributed to the actual existence of a creature the likes of which is so human-like, that we now are able to accept the many reports as likely! Included are encounters reported by a U.S. Forestry Service agent, two Bureau of Land Management agents, a fireman, a sheriff's deputy, a doctor, ranchers, rural property owners, an accredited Sasquatch hunter, hikers and full-time goldminers, as well as some tourists and river rafters. Some of our contributors have chosen to remain anonymous, so we have protected their identities. We hope you enjoy reading about these interesting and sometimes frightening encounters as much as we did!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The encounters and sightings in "Sasquatch Encounters" have never been published in print or online before! These incidents came to us from many states and they are in the words of those who met the Bigfoot. The events and sightings in this book include a well-accredited professor of anthropology offering his confirmation of the probability of the existence of these creatures and a fellow professor who had an actual encounter with Sasquatch before he ever met the other doctor. The encounter by Evel Knievel's father as was told to the author by his personal friend, Nic Knievel, brother of the famed motorcycle stuntman. Al Capone's shooting incident was found in a very old article that was prepared for printing in the Chicago Sun Times newspaper, but for reasons unknown was never submitted. Possibly due to fear of retaliation by the Capone gang. There are several incidents that came from the personal journals of early gold miners that were submitted by their descendants; proof that the Bigfoot has been there all along. We did not start out belonging to the Bigfoot believers camp, but as we were researching for our hiking book, "Hiking Sasquatch Country: Tails and Trails in Bigfoot's Backyard," we had some incidents that we couldn't explain until we came in contact with people in our Southern Oregon home that were able to shed light on our mysterious adventures, and it made Sasquatch more than just theory. Neither of us had before lived outside larger cities, and we found profound enjoyment in hiking, so we felt that a detailed hiking book would enable others to enjoy what we had. Then, after meeting so many people who had also had close encounters with the mysterious Sasquatch, we decided to collect these experiences to add to our book. The authors of these happenings are from all over the U.S., and it is amazing how much similarity there is in the descriptions of our mysterious Sasquatch, which certainly lends credence to the existence of this wild being that seems to have the same senses of hearing and seeing as humans, however magnified a hundred times. Welcome to Bigfoot country!

Book excerpt: One of America’s most esteemed natural history writers takes to the hills of the Pacific Northwest in search of Bigfoot—and finds the wildness within ourselves. “A unique book in the bigfoot literature . . . that understands what most lifetime bigfooters eventually come to know: that bigfooting is about the journey more than the destination.” —Cliff Barackman, field researcher and star of Animal Planet’s Finding Bigfoot Awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship to investigate the legends of Sasquatch, Yale–trained ecologist Dr. Robert Pyle treks into the unprotected wilderness of the Dark Divide near Mount St. Helens, where he discovers both a giant fossil footprint and recent tracks. On the trail of what he thought was legend, he searches out Indians who tell him of an outcast tribe, the Seeahtiks, who had not fully evolved into humans. A handful of open–minded biologists and anthropologists counter the tabloids Pyle studies, while rogue Forest Service employees and loggers swear of a vast conspiracy to deep–six true stories of unknown, upright hominoid apes among us. He attends Sasquatch Daze, where he meets scientists, hunters, and others who have devoted their lives to the search, only to realize that “these guys don't want to find Bigfoot―they want to be Bigfoot!” Where Bigfoot Walks was the inspiration for the 2020 film The Dark Divide, starring David Cross and Debra Messing. Since the book’s original publication, Pyle’s fresh experiences and findings have been added to his original work through an updated chapter. With an evaluation of recent DNA evidence from Bigfoot hair and scat, the study of speech phonemes in the “Sierra Sounds” purported Bigfoot recordings, an examination of the impact of the wildly popular Animal Planet series Bigfoot Hunters, the reemergence of the famous Bob Gimlin into the Bigfoot community, and more, Walking With Bigfoot keeps every Bigfoot enthusiast’s mind wide open to one of the biggest questions in the land and brings Pyle’s work on the “legend” of Bigfoot into the new century.
